I've taken my truck to Tom for 10 years but never again. He couldn't fix the problem and told me to take it somewhere else after it sat for10 days while I waited in a hotel! I took it to Car Doctor in Murphy's and I am satisfied so far. He doesn't return phone calls in a timely manner and really doesn't care. He needs to retire like he wants to. read more

My wife and I had an excellent experience at Tom's Automotive on our way back from Bear Valley. Our check engine light had come on, which was nerve wracking as we were four hours from home. Tom saw us quickly, diagnosed our problem, and assured us we were OK to drive home to have the issue fixed locally. He was courteous, honest, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. read more

It's Unfortunate that I have to write this review however I've tried to contact Them several times with no avail. I was referred to Tom by a person I know and had scheduled to drop off my jeep for some repairs. When I drop my jeep off He was adamant about me sending an email of a list of things that need to be looked at. I believe it's a there a proximally two months before I finally was able to pick it up. When I called to finally see if it was ready He told me the price and I asked him if you look at the list and he said he never even looked at the list that he was so adamant about me sending. Nothing really was fixed when I pick it up after two months of having it. The engine still dies. I attempted to contact him via telephone several times and left messages and never heard back from them. Bottom line moneys gone and nothing is fixed. How do people operate like this ????? read more

After dealing with Tom at first I thought he was a very honest mechanic in the beginning but after taking my truck to him acouple of times he became dishonest with me telling me he would come pick my truck up and fix it said he would come get it every week for a month but never did and after finding out he didn't want to fix it he somewhat had an attitude towards me telling me there was nothing wrong with it and yet there was, why not just tell me in the beginning u just didn't want to deal with it?.I didn't do anything to deserve this. I've dealt with Tom for a number of years now and I not only respect his work, but I really like the guy also. I have a disability that recently has kept me from driving and my wife won't drive my large pickup. When I need him to, he comes by my place and takes the vehicles to his shop, repairs hem, and returns them to my home. Great service. read more

You never want your auto to break down while on a vacation, but sometimes it happens. And you can only hope that repairs are quick and the shop doesn't gouge your wallet. I am so thankful for the great service that I received from Tom Gorden the owner of Tom's Automotive when my '99 Suburban died and I was towed to his shop. Repaired the next day, and much under the original cost estimate.... and my car was delivered to my campsite, approx. 20 miles from the shop. Eddo said it correctly. "You never want your auto to break down while on a vacation, but sometimes it happens". That and something about a '99 Suburban in which mine died and I was towed to his shop. Had to order a new fuel pump but they kept me apprised of the costs and timing. Great group of people. read more

Toms auto was recommended to me. I made an appointment Monday for Wednesday. When I arrive the man was rude claimed I didn't have an appointment and said he doesn't have the equipment to check the tranny oil! He said it's a 30 min set up, and he couldn't do it on the fly! Having an appointment is Not on the fly.. due to his ride attitude and story I didn't have an appointment, I will never recommend this shop. I took my car in and thought I need my breaks done. I was willing to pay even though money was short (safety first). I was suprised when I came back and found that not only did I not need my breaks done but that he was honest enough not to do them. I will continue to take my car here forever.
