I needed to have my car towed while in Springfield this past weekend. Tom's was the business I opted to call, based on Yelp reviews. Josh arrived within 30 minutes of my Saturday afternoon call and was extremely polite, kind, and helpful. He also listened to my car story and offered support and encouragement. The next day, Sunday, I called Tom's again to schedule a tow for Monday morning. I needed to get my car to a shop that worked on manual transmissions. Martha at Tom's took my information over the phone and said the car would be picked up between 7:30am and 8:00am Monday morning and towed to the requested shop. A few minutes before 8:00am Monday morning, Martha called to let me know my car was being transported. I'm grateful to Josh, Martha, and the crew at Tom's for providing an invaluable service. Great work and thanks! read more

Fair, fast and friendly service. Nice guy that Tom. No issues great job Tom. If I ever need a tow I'd call Tom again in the future.

I cannot recommend Tom's towing enough! They were amazing to communicate with, fast and so kind. If EVER in need of a tow, they are your people! read more

Utilized road service via Shelter Insurance on 01/20/20 and they sent these scammers out! These butt-pirates charged $167.00 for a tow from Athens to Petersburg(9 miles) It's 14 miles from their location in Springfield to Athens. The insurance covers $100 and then they charged an extra $67.00 on top of that, highway robbery! Avoid these asshats at all costs, because it will cost you plenty if you do. read more

I wouldn't call them again.. I had them tow my sons car and they charged me $87 but it was suppose to be $50 plus a $2.50 fee for using my debit card... I called to ask them to give me a refund on the difference TWICE and both times they said I would have to call back to talk to their book keeper, because she wasn't there.. They should have offered to take my name down and call me back.. I just gave up after the second time.. Their customer service is bad, in that, they seemed unconcerned they overcharged me. No way would I ever call them to tow a car again. They did a good job, I just can't be sure I won't be over charged again. read more

Great service!!! Fair pricing and patient with my nervous teenager when she had a minor accident and needed her car towed.

They never showed up and the woman answering the phone was quite rude. There are plenty of other towing companies in Springfield, no reason to use them. read more

I locked myself out of my car and called toms to help me out in the process they man hit my windshield and left a crack in it. They denied that they did it and every time I called the office to try and talk to Tom the owner the receptionist was very rude and Always told me he wasn't there for 2 weeks straight that I called and could never tell me when he would be in next. I never got windshield paid for it had to come out of my own pocket. They are very unprofessional and I will never use them again. read more

Very quick to respond when I needed a tow as soon as possible, also were very realistic with me giving me a time frame, however was done sooner than I had expected. Very pleased with the customer service. I will use this company again if needed. read more

The tow truck came quickly and the driver gave us suggestions as where to take the car to get it fixed. The charge was reasonable and the driver was pleasant to deal with. I hope I never have to be towed again in the Springfield area again but if I did, I'd call Tom's Towing. read more

Horrible experience!!! Do NOT use Tom's. Our vehicle was in mint condition prior to being towed by Tom's and we have multiple witnesses to prove it. After being towed to its destination the driver's door would not open. It was completely bent and out-of-whack. They told us that their tow truck driver even called their office that evening to report it when we originally confronted them. Tom's told us to go ahead and get an estimate, which we did. After presenting the estimate they suddenly turned the tables on us and said that we must have caused the damage by "...parking on a curb..." - even though there was no curb at the pick-up location, or that our mechanic that repaired the car must have caused it, even though he's willing to document that the door was damaged when it arrived and his repair shop. We were the last one's in the car when we placed the key under the mat and everything was perfect. It then got towed and... Unbelievable that they refuse to take ownership. We are contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's Office on this business. read more
