DO NOT COME HERE! This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had…read more
I signed a consignment contract for 6 months here for 6 dresses. Only 1 of the 6 were sold. The 1 they did sell, I originally paid $1,000, and they sold it for $165, leaving me with a whopping $62. When I questioned the owner about such a low price, she practically insulted me and the dress by simply dismissing it to "dresses lose value."
HOWEVER, WORSE THAN THIS, when I left with my 5 unsold dresses, none of them were covered in the plastic covers I had them in when I first came in, and two of the dresses were SEVERELY damaged. The beaded shoulders were torn apart and the undersides were torn as well. Not ONE person mentioned it to me, and of course, why would they? That means they would have to be honest, fix the dresses, or pay me.
I unfortunately trusted them to take care of my dresses and treat me with basic respect. Instead, I walked away completely taken advantage of and now I have to use the $62 I "earned" to go fix the two dresses they destroyed.
They told me they are no longer do consignment. After this experience, I can see why. I will NEVER go back, and I would strongly recommend you don't either.
I recommend going to Nearly New if you are looking for consignment or looking to find the dress of your dreams. The owner is completely upfront and honest, and she treats everyone with the utmost respect. Bring your business ELSEWHERE. We as people, we as CUSTOMERS, work too hard for our money for this to be our experience.
