Unfortunately 0 stars wasn't an option. For an event as important as a wedding day, surely "the best" men's clothier in OKC would be extra on top of their game, right? WRONG. This was by far the worst experience I've had with any suit store. When groomsmen suits are on a plane in Kansas City the day of the wedding at 2:00pm, something is very wrong. This isn't a supply chain issue, it's a management issue that starts and ends at the top. Not only were we sent with mis-altered tuxedos, the sizing from the beginning was incorrect. I think it's time to hire someone who knows how to measure a tux correctly. If that weren't all, the bad attitudes of most of Alton's staff was frustrating beyond words. This is an issue that I hope hasn't happened, nor will happen, to any other person or wedding party. 0/5 Stars. Go somewhere where your money and service will be handled the right way. read more

I had another great experience with Steve and the staff at Alltons. I've put off refreshing my wardrobe due to feeling like there was no place to go and get dressed up recently. He helped me find the most interesting but classic, Italian navy blazer and slacks that actually come with a draw string waist! Very cool but still classic. They are wearing masks and there is plenty of space to shop and feel safe. I'm glad I freshened up the wardrobe for the holiday season, even if there are less parties this year! The worst experience I've ever had with any sort of company. What a sorry excuse for a store that "prides" itself on service and quality. We received the absolute opposite for my wedding. When I was told "we'll dress you up just right and will have this be a seamless process" months before my wedding, I wasn't expecting to be lied to my face. You'll thank yourself when you give your money to any other company than Steve Allton's. Steve Allton himself body shamed men in our bridal party for tuxes that he himself fitted us for. His pride didn't allow for him to possibly admit he had fitted us wrong. The direct quote I believe was "you look like a sausage in that jacket." When dissatisfied with how I was fitted for my wedding when the tux rental came in, I was told by one staffer "that's just the way it is. This is why you should have bought a tux instead of rented." It was only until I told them that I was the groom that I was treated even remotely decently. I was lied to multiple times about when our tuxes would come in. I was told Monday on the week of our wedding. Then Tuesday. Then Thursday afternoon. Then Friday morning at 10:30. Instead, they didn't come in until 3:00 PM on the afternoon of my wedding (3.5 hours before I was supposed to be at the altar waiting for my soon to be wife walk down the aisle). It was excuse after excuse after excuse. Zero organization, zero accountability, and zero ability to function as a group. This lack of comprehension comes from the top, as does any company, with the leadership. It made sense that the company was as incompetent as it was after how I was treated by the man with his name on the sign outside. The young man, Christopher, was the only redeeming person we interacted with. He may not be perfect on everything, but he's respectful, kind, and willing to assist in any way. Thank you, Chris. We wish you the best. Still waiting on your apology, Steve. You have my number in your system. We'll see if you can back up the claim of being a "men's" clothier by doing the right thing and being a man yourself. read more

I went in to Allton's as a 25 year old thinking that this was a store for old, rich, Edmond Men and not for me... I left with an entirely new wardrobe and a place that I'll be shopping and adding to my wardrobe for the rest of my life. The owner of Allton's spent over an hour as my personal shopper. They are now altering everything I bought so that it will fit me perfectly. This isn't Jos A Banks where you will leave not having spent any money but also having clothes that don't fit you perfectly. You will leave Allton's feeling better about your clothes and the way you look. I guarantee it. I was excited to visit what I believe is the only Barbour stockist in town to see Allton's selection of outerwear and hopefully begin a relationship that would have likely led to some custom suiting in addition to at least a new jacket purchase. Unfortunately, after my experience I will not return. I called the previous day to see if they carried a specific item to refresh an older Barbour jacket. The very nice person I spoke with said they did. I arrived at the store and asked the person behind the counter if they had the item. Before he could nicely say much more than that they did not, the owner of the store came out from somewhere behind me and aggressively said they did not and he would never employ someone that would say they had that item in stock, implying that I was lying by saying someone at the store told me Allton's had the item. I completely understand and would have thought nothing more of an innocent mix up about having an item in stock. However, I didn't take 45 minutes out of my day driving there and back to my office to be accused of being a liar. I make it a point to shop locally, especially at good men's clothing stores (because there are so few good men's stores in town), but after this experience with Allton's I'll sadly continue to buy my Barbours (and other brands that are otherwise difficult to find in OKC) online and out of state. read more

I've been a fan of this shop in the past, going to them before multiple formal functions to buy clothes/accessories. My best friend used Allton's recently to rent tuxes for his groomsmen for his wedding - it was the single worst rental experience I have ever heard of. The store forgot to order tuxes for 50% of the guys who live out of town (even though they were given sizes a month in advance) and didn't realize it until the day before the wedding when we went to pick up the clothes. They were rude to the groom when he tried on his tux, saying he looked like a "stuffed sausage" in the jacket size that fit him better and that he preferred. Multiple tuxes came in too large even after Allton's did the measurements on the guys themselves. Then the guaranteed next day delivery for the tuxes that they forgot to order, and they weren't delivered until 1 hr before the wedding pictures (4 hours after they were supposed to arrive). On top of that, the employees were defensive, complained about how hard they were working, and didn't take responsibility for the mistakes they made. I'll never shop at Allton's again, and if you are planning to rent formal clothes from there you should look elsewhere. read more

Malloree really knows clothes, and has taken the time to learn what I like and need. Now she texts me when a new item comes in that she thinks will work for me. Allton's is the place to get your men's wear. I am a very large man. I have trouble finding clothes that fit right. From the first day I walked in the store Steve and his crew made sure I was taken care of. He made the calls and made sure that he could make the best fitting suit I would ever have. Every step of the process he made sure me and my fiancé (now wife) knew what was going on. Every person that touched my suit before it was done knew that this was going to be a large task. There were a few try on sessions, even one with the suit company rep to go over what needed to be fixed. The suit fits amazing and is everything that I wanted it to be. Steve and his crew went above and beyond what I was expecting. Other than the suit, I ordered three custom shirts and 13 ties. The shirt process was great and very simple and for a little more than a regular dress shirt, you can have a custom shirt that fits correctly. Steve also spent awhile with my wife going through pages of ties to pick for our wedding. He was very patient and really showed that he wanted to make sure that our day was the best that he could make it. There are not very many places left where you can experience top tier service like Allton's offers. I highly recommend you go and experience what they do best. read more

Good quality clothing and aesthetically a nice store. I have visited this establishment many times with the optimistic hope that I would not receive the same poor service I had each time prior. In a time when online ordering has become so easy I would expect an establishment like this one with such quality merchandise and the price tag associated with it to provide a higher level of customer service than your local department store. I would also add that the tux rental quality is no better than the quality of Men's Warehouse but the price tag is twice as high. I would ask that the owner of this establishment read this review and not be angered by it and upset at its author but rather use it to inspire positive change within his establishment. read more
