The admin staff are friendly and welcoming, the office is very clean and tidy and the medical team is courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. I've worked with the orthotist to have some braces fitted for my back and my knee. Derek, the orthotist is super helpful, kind and explains how the braces work and how they will help you live a more full life. My most recent visit was due to a bad fall I took, unknowingly breaking my ankle. They got me in the same day I called and informed me that I needed a metal plate and screws put into my ankle for stability and healing. I was scheduled for surgery shortly thereafter and Dr. Margiotta is super. He is friendly and open to questions and thoroughly explains everything. The MAs are great and help you move through the process of getting the surgery set up, COVID testing and everything else you need to know before and after surgery. I highly recommend this practice if you are having any issues with your feet or if you might need bracing/splinting or are having other issues.

Instead of assuming they could have called. From what I could tell they assume information instead of verifying the accuracy of information. In regards to quality of care well I can only assume it's equal as their assumptions. Also they don't take Medicaid of centennial in case you have that insurance. on in all I felt like I had to advocate for myself to get an appointment.

I ended up having complications but they were nothing that could have been predicted nor prevented by the doctor nor the staff. I am an especially hard stick when it comes to my IV lately and am waiting on a port. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Chen, was able to assist with an IV in my wrist. It was painful yet very affective and got the job done! Dr. Saad, the GI specialist performing my EGD, was not very friendly nor did he explain the results. Instead I vaguely remember him giving the info to the nurse to give to me when I woke up so he could leave. I remember waking up and wanting to be like, "It's okay to talk to me. I'm not scary. I'm just a person too." But he still did a great job and I appreciate his work!

And I'm headed back to Southern shortly for neurological PT to help with my neuropathy-causing falls. I'm confidant I'll receive the same exemplary clinical care. I've been seeing Dr. Gay Gustafson for much of the past year but stopped after my last visit. I…read morearrived about ten minutes before my scheduled appointment and was placed right away in a treatment room where I sat for 45 minutes. I knew the doctor was in the office because I saw her pass the open door several times and heard her voice occasionally during those 45 minutes. When she walked into the treatment room she flashed me a smile and asked me how I was doing. I told her I'd been waiting so long I was thinking about getting up and going home. In a voice best directed toward a small child she said "Oh, you need a hug", as if I was just having a bad day. I feel I deserved an apology and explanation for having been kept waiting; not some sarcastic remark. She then sat on a stool, began examining my feet, and said "You're not diabetic, are you?" That was the purpose of my regular visits to her - for diabetic foot care. Apparently she'd not taken 30 seconds to glance at my medical records prior to coming into the room. During the appointment she told me I'd benefit from rubbing a certain ointment on my feet and that she'd phone my pharmacist to prescribe it before the end of the day. When a week passed without her calling my pharmacy, I had to phone her and remind her to do so. My health insurance pays 100% of my doctors' visits and treatments. I deserve better than Dr. Gustafson.

I am 66 AND worked in…read morehealthcare admin last position as a division CFO for a company called Continental Rehab Systems which merged with Healthsouth. I am probably one of the most sympathetic people to the difficulties of the industry. After a broken femur in my hip I was transferred from Lovelace to Advanced. First note was started by Physical Therapists. And is a beautiful facility which is saying a lot because in my last job we opened 3 new facilities in different western states. So I have seen new facilities and have also seen SNF's aka skilled nursing facilities. There is a reason Ron Bell the "attorney" always talks about them The staff is really good specially the therapists, OT's and PT's. Kind knowledgeable and they listen. The nursing staff is mostly good and especially the day nurses. As with ANY hospital the doc may have one opinion, the nurses another, the therapists another and the PA's and NP's another. This is called healthcare and it is just getting worse with all the government issues. I pray they are not too adversely affected by the inevitable government cuts. Also you HAVE to advocate for yourself and your loved ones if it is them who are here. Believe it or not docs and clinical staff are human. And unless YOU (like me) are the patient you truly have no idea what the patient is feeling and going through. I have been very verbal about my concerns and there have been issues but the staff listened. Did they always agree, no. Were we able to come to mutually acceptable conclusions, pretty much every situation. If you sit back and bitch quietly it only affects your mental health. And note I have a mother in law who does this at the facility she is at in CA. If you don't like the current healthcare situation (don't even get me started on Optum) read, talk to your NM reps, read about what is going on with the government and best go into the industry. Albuquerque is woefully understaffed. At every facility. Compared to when I was in healthcare the demands and hours are much crazier. So unless you speak up don't complain. I am still at facility and am very happy to be here. Will update post discharge.
