The admin staff are friendly and welcoming, the office is very clean and tidy and the medical team is courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. I've worked with the orthotist to have some braces fitted for my back and my knee. Derek, the orthotist is super helpful, kind and explains how the braces work and how they will help you live a more full life. My most recent visit was due to a bad fall I took, unknowingly breaking my ankle. They got me in the same day I called and informed me that I needed a metal plate and screws put into my ankle for stability and healing. I was scheduled for surgery shortly thereafter and Dr. Margiotta is super. He is friendly and open to questions and thoroughly explains everything. The MAs are great and help you move through the process of getting the surgery set up, COVID testing and everything else you need to know before and after surgery. I highly recommend this practice if you are having any issues with your feet or if you might need bracing/splinting or are having other issues.

I even called the on call dr and he finally gave me a call around 9 pm. He said something about remodeling. The next day being friday I called the office and asked to talk to the scheduler....she was too busy. They said they left her a message to call me. Didn't hear a word. I gave it all day monday...nothing. Now I am getting pissed. I call leave more messages, too busy. Finally, on a Friday when I was in town I stopped at the office. I wanted a word with the office manager to file a complaint about her staff. The receptionist asked my name left her desk and came back saying she stepped out and didn't know if she would be back. Of course she did.....really? The girl told me to email her! No way little girl. I asked to talk to the scheduler and if course she was busy. I am getting hotter by the minute, and felt like i wanted to grab someone by the throat. But instead I walked out. Monday one more try. Nothing. So maybe God was watching out for me. I had already had one knee replacement that turned out bad, by a different place on Colorado. At any rate I have gotten another Dr. But i am still months out for surgery. I am getting worse by the day, more painful, with bone on bone. Have to use a cane or walker to get around my own home. DO NOT GO THERE FOR ANY TYPE OF SURGERY. IF THE DOCTORS APPROVE OF THIS KIND OF SHODDY TREATMENT OF THEIR PATIENTS, DO YOU REALLY WANTING THEM TO OPERATE ON YOU? I THINK NOT. SO BE WEARY FOLKS!

When I actually got to see the doctor I was met with distain and no compassion didn't want to figure out what was wrong. Just wanted to refer me to other people so I went and started again going online trying to figure out my own symptoms. Based on my lab work that was done that the doctor had access to, so I have some type of infection could have prescribed me something based on that ordered some test. I was looked at now just oh well you have a small fibroid and nothing is gonna help your pain. We can maybe try this and maybe try that maybe try this but didn't wanna actually figure it out. Just wanted to refer me somewhere else so hopefully the excruciating pain she put me through for the test actually get run so I can get the results and hopefully get a doctor that will actually try and figure out what's wrong and help instead of criticizing and treat me like I didn't matter

I ended up having complications but they were nothing that could have been predicted nor prevented by the doctor nor the staff. I am an especially hard stick when it comes to my IV lately and am waiting on a port. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Chen, was able to assist with an IV in my wrist. It was painful yet very affective and got the job done! Dr. Saad, the GI specialist performing my EGD, was not very friendly nor did he explain the results. Instead I vaguely remember him giving the info to the nurse to give to me when I woke up so he could leave. I remember waking up and wanting to be like, "It's okay to talk to me. I'm not scary. I'm just a person too." But he still did a great job and I appreciate his work!

And I'm headed back to Southern shortly for neurological PT to help with my neuropathy-causing falls. I'm confidant I'll receive the same exemplary clinical care. If you require physical therapy, please consider this group. A great group of skilled, kind clinicians that I cannot recommend more highly.

Before I found Dr. Raiten, I'd been dealing with severe, debilitating pain while every provider I was seeing made me feel like I was being dramatic and it wasn't that bad. That is an incredibly isolating experience, and if you've been through it you know exactly what I mean. Dr. Raiten was able to figure out what was actually going on at my first appointment. He caught something rare that everyone else had completely missed because he actually sat down and took the time to listen to me. That led me to get specialized treatment out of state that has made my life immeasurably better. The procedures have always gone smoothly, and follow ups with his PA Maria haven't been rushed. I am able to trust everyone at IPA, which isn't something I say lightly given how long it took to find people who actually took me seriously and listened.

Because I have complex structural cervical disease (including disc disease and loss of lordosis) paired with a hypermobility disorder, having a needle placed near my spine is a high-stakes, terrifying procedure. The clinic told me to take 5mg of oral Valium, which did not manage my severe anxiety. When I expressed in the procedure room that I was terrified and did not feel safe to proceed, the medical assistant completely dismissed me and told me I was "freaking out." To make matters worse, while discussing options to reschedule, Dr. Raiten began making completely inappropriate jokes about controlled substances, referring to Xanax as "Post Malone drugs."Instead of showing basic physician empathy or discussing proper clinical options like IV twilight sedation, the doctor and his staff chose to mock and minimize a vulnerable patient during a high-stress medical encounter. I had to walk out of the procedure to protect my own safety. Patients with complex spinal issues deserve compassionate, trauma-informed care--not to be ridiculed by their treating physician. I have filed a formal complaint with the New Mexico Medical Board. Avoid this clinic if you expect professional or empathetic care...

I have been using their services since moving to ABQ and have found staff to be very compassionate. They listen to you, any concerns that you may have and advise the different options/things that they can do to help you. Although my visits had been with different staff, I found them all to be very personable and have great bedside manner. There was no uncomfortable, awkward moments, despite some types of checkups that are needed for women's care at all. The only thing is...I think they are pretty short staffed. You arrive and check in...but you may have to wait a bit to actually get your name/check in done (because the front desk runs a bit late) or the staff may still be with their prior appointments. But otherwise, the quality of their staff, their services and the cleanliness of this facility made me feel pretty content with the services I receive there.
