We did a lot of searching and came across Golf Carts of Cypress on YouTube. They were posting videos of their golf carts for Sale. They had a couple different brands they carried and we decided we liked the look of the Trojan EV X6. We ended up purchasing one at the end of 2023 and they shipped it out and it was delivered in January 2024. The Russian speaking delivery driver showed up at almost midnight and it was pouring rain and then it took him around an hour to unload it from his truck. He spoke very little English and didn't go over anything on the cart with us and it didn't come with a owner manual and there was nothing online either. We ended going over everything the following morning and figured things out on our own and took it for a test drive. We got it up to 38 mph. A couple months went by and we went back out to our place and we weren't able to get it up past 21 mph. Later that year we noticed the batteries would run out of a charge very quickly. We ended up replacing all 5 batteries by the end of 2024. Then the electric parking brake went out a month later. We called all around town to see if anyone could fix it and no one wanted to touch it. When we finally were able to contact Customer Service they told us that they would call around and find a place to service it for us since its under warranty. They found a local dealership and set up an appt for us and when the mechanic came out to look at it he shifted it back and forth looked under the seats and then after five mins said he wasn't able to work on it because it was electric. Why the heck was this company made an appt with if they don't even service electric golf carts. Then that company actually had the nerve to try to bill us $250 for 5 mins and no service. We told them they can contact Golf Carts of Cypress since they were the ones that set up the appointment with them and it's under warranty. Well the company contacted them as well to get payment and Golf Carts of Cypress had the nerve to tell them to go after us for payment. Unbelievable! Now here it is January 2026 and we finally found a place that would service it and after having it for a day they called us telling us that it was the easiest fix and it was only that it was never switched from delivery mode to driving mode when it was delivered and that it was working again. We went to pick it up and when my husband went to drive it on to the trailer it started smoking and wouldn't move at all. The place told us to leave it and they would figure it out. Well days later they called us telling us that the motor brake is bad and they couldn't find anything on it (brand or part number) to look it up to replace it or try to fix it. The controller started beeping 7 times and the whole cart shut off. So with no way to fix or replace this part and no answer from Golf Carts of Cypress to try to get a part the golf cart repair company gave us our money back and had us pick it up. We spent over $16k to purchase it and to now have an unusable golf cart. I did some research online and found out that Golf Carts of Cypress was sued back in 2024 by the Trojan Battery company for 9.3 million for name infringement and they ended up having to file bankruptcy and now all their locations say permanently closed and their website is down and their phone goes straight to a full voicemail box. So now we are sitting on an unfixable cart.
