Wow what a place the food was off the hook !! Hot and the prices were very good as well I would eat there over and over go there

I have been ordering from you guys for years. The food I had from you tonight was absolutely so embarrassing on your part, because I always make a point to tell everyone to go to your place for food. I ordered an Italian hot dog it was totally disgusting and so greasy, I guess because I ordered it towards the end of the night when you were ready to close. And your chicken orzo soup, was also disgusting, the noodles were soggy like they were sitting in the pot all day. I work at a high class place in forked River, and I'm a head caterer, and I know good food when I see it. We got the cheesesteaks in the past and they were very good. Ordered FIVE if them for a small gathering. Specifically asked them to NOT prep them ahead of time and we would willingly wait for them to be ready. Turned out I got there ahead of time since traffic was minimal. The order of five cheesesteaks was sitting on top of a fridge when I got there 15 minutes before the requested pick up time. OK, they were good in the past so .... Now this was a gathering and we happily shared what we thought would be great cheesesteaks. We did't pay for sub-par food. There was FAR less meat than last time but the price was significantly higher. The bread was actually rubbery. I considered using the ends for some tennis practice the following day. Not sure what happened to this establishment but the quality is WAY lower than it was. I have this event in my home every 8 weeks but I will not be using Tomatoes for any future events. Very disappointed and more than a little embarrassed. read more

Some things are good and some things are awful. Anything involving being fried, don't get it's completely saturated in oil and soggy. (an example would be the eggplant parmesan sandwich that had so much cheese and oil on it that the bread completely fell apart) Salads aren't awful. Their regular pizza is pretty good! we have ordered from this place three times now, first one being a great experience we ordered salad and Basilico -- Aioli Pizza (which was very good) second time we ordered we got salad and an eggplant parm sandwich (as mentioned above it was awful and wasn't edible) Thinking the second time was a fluke we decided to give them another chance since the first time was pretty good! Ordered two salads and a Sicilian style pizza. The salads were ok, the dressings was meh. The pizza was a completely different story! they use far too much cheese that it's completely soaked in oil from it, the crust was completely soft and mushy from either not being baked long enough or from the amount of oil that was on the pizza itself. Taking the pizza off of the paper within the box to keep it from sticking was a nightmare and made the crust fall apart because the amount of cheese they cake onto it dried by the time it arrived. Since we gave them a fair shot, at this point I wouldn't recommend this place for delivery (eating in might be a different story), there are better local options. read more

Very sad how this place is hit or miss... wanted to give it at least 2-3 stars but can't. Pathetic romaine lettuce with some brownish lettuce... gross... chicken in their salad is better at fast food chains( found a giant core from the romaine in the salad, disgusting, inexcusable. The pizza tasted as if it sat for hours- then was reheated. Dried out garbage. Last time you will get our hard earned money. Good luck! read more

Best Pizza anywhere. Great ingredients. Very difficult decision, do I want Regular Pizza, Brooklyn style, or Grandma, they are all so amazing, I never know which one to have. Joey is the best, he made me a regular pie with Brooklyn Sauce the last time I was there. Best of all worlds. The Burgers are amazing. Joey's Cheesesteak has so much on it you can feed 4 people. I absolutely love Tomatoes pizzeria. Not only is the food great, it's fast, and I have never met anyone there that wasn't friendly and helpful. When we move to Georgia next year this will definitely be one of my top missed places. Horrible! Salad consisted of a few shreds of lettuce underneath my fish in the same tray, so the lettuce got cooked. Dry pasta with just a couple grains of cheese on it. They asked if I wanted napkins and utensils. I said yes, but never got them. God forbid if they had to throw in a slice of bread. read more

Delivery took 1 hour, granted it was a Friday night, but I still think that is way too long. We ordered pizza and a steak sandwich. When the food did come, the pizza was luke warm, yuk. We ordered mushrooms and sausage. The mushrooms were from a can and were horrible. The sausage used was good and was sliced pieces, which I like, if you could find it on the pizza. The buffalo chicken cheesesteak was good. The roll used was excellent, they did not toast the sandwich which is the way all steak sandwiches should be. It was prepared well and tasted good. The only thing I would have liked more is if they had used more meat, at times it felt like I was eating a good roll with buffalo chicken flavoring. read more

3 strikes...I'm done. The positive part of the review is short: the grandma pie is great! Just be ready for serious garlic breath. The bad: Twice my delivery orders were wrong. Missing items the first time and the wrong items the second time. A nice man, who I assume was the owner, had the delivery guy come back with the proper items. More bad: Pickup time is often 25 minutes or more. I ordered a chicken dish for pickup and it took 35 minutes, and when I got it home i noticed it was bright pink! In multiple spots! They gave me a refund but what a hassle and a let down. I don't think the owner was there, because if he was he might have been more apologetic than the teenager who handled the issue. read more

A family member told us we had to try the grandma pizza, and it actually lived up to our expectations! I love garlic, and it had fresh garlic in it with mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes... It was the balance of ingredients that I really liked, the garlic was there but it wasn't overwhelming, etc... Great pizza! The only complaint is their salad. We asked for some salad and the lady just touched money and put it in the cash register right before getting our salad. She had no gloves on and she didn't wash her hands before picking it up with her bare hands. Then when we brought it home the lettuce was slimy. Just disgusting! read more
