I am completely done with this grocery store. This morning I went in to buy one item and not a single cashier was open. The only option was self checkout. Typically, I don't mind self checkout if there are cashiers open and they have a line. But the fact that none were open means Tom Thumb is expecting us to do their work. Added my own sprinkles for the galaxy theme. They were delicious! Saved a ton of money. Local bakers were quoting me over $100+ for these to be custom baked. Taking a star off for one reason: 1. No bicycle rack. I am riding my bike more, and it is sad how few large businesses in Keller have provided this little thing. To be fair, Kroger does not have a bicycle rack either. And at least Tom Thumb has a couple non-rack options. One is the back of the chairs at the fixed to the ground outdoor tables. The other is the handicapped sign poles on those spots. Neither is a very good options, as it may impede others. Note: I did a little research and Keller, unlike Fort Worth, does not require businesses (of a certain size) to install bicycle racks. Still, some businesses have elected to do it anyways, so kudos the them. Bottom line: I did e-mail both Kroger and Tom Thumb about the lack of a bicycle rack. I may also see about getting it on the requirements list for new buildings/businesses. read more

Great meat, bakery, and floral departments: I wish those folks could be their own store and would get five stars every time. The rest of this location absolutely does not get any stars. Checkout is a trash experience and usually takes forever or items are tagged incorrectly for sales that do not exist. Today the old guy up front did not want to bag any of my groceries and just mumbled while staring off into space. I will gladly go to Sprouts, Trader Joes, or Whole Foods next time. In the time it took to wait for someone at the service desk and have him fix some errors, I could have made it to Whole Foods in Colleyville or gone to Sprouts and taken a nap in the parking lot before even walking in the store. read more

Horrible pick up service!!!! Have tried to do pick up 3 times (stupid me for trying a 3 rd time). Over 45 min to pick all 3 times, sat in parking space checked in on app ,after 20 min, called number no answer voice mail not set uphad to go in store sent to pick up area called number on door x3 person said maybe WiFi not working ? ? 3rd and LAST time Checking in on app impossible from parking lot error message person at self scan said she had multiple people complaining again walked into store waited called number no answer the poor person doing self check out found all my groceries set them on floor I loaded my cart and left 45 min total time I have a back injury why I tried pick up I have never had issues at Walmart or Kroger read more

I was getting a rubber duck cake for a birthday about 3 or 4 days in advance and on the day of the party told us they didn't have the cake.

So sad. We came here because I thought they had better cakes then Kroger and Walmart. I wanted a yummy cake for my grandkids birthday and let me just say, it was cute for 1/4 sheet cake but 18$. Way over priced and SO DRY. TASTED OLD. Crumbly dry yucky cake. Wayyy to much frosting. Very thick. Very sweet. Kroger has better cakes. But Walmart beats both by a mile. So my doctor wrote me a subscription for 6 months. I go to get it refilled and I am told that subscriptions at Tom Thumb were canceled because they only keep subscriptions on shelf's for 3 months. On top of that. The lady that answered the phone was completely rude and offered zero help. I will not be going back here. Not worth it. You just lost a customer to a pharmacy across the street. There's a middle aged guy who works the evening shift...he is one of the rudest and surliest cashiers I've ever come across. He's checked me out twice and didn't even thank me or greet me either time. I shrugged it off the first time, but having encountered his rudeness twice, it's clearly a pattern. It's really a shame to see a once nice store plummet like it has. In addition, they are having major shortages, more than is normal even in this crazy era. We do most of our shopping at other stores but ALWAYS come to Tom Thumb for the bakery items. Their cakes/pies are amazing and usually they have a ton on massive discount as well. Definitely recommend getting a splurge night cake or pie at this store. read more

Soo I'm updating, not so much on the groceries but for the convience of the gas station at this location. It's a great location and always has great prices. This review is for the store and mostly for the floral department. My experience with this story is that it is always in Top Notch shape!! Always clean and always has a great variety of organic food. --I cannot say enough about the floral department! The Store takes pride in this department as it should! I have had the floral department help me with many baby showers wedding showers and weddings! Tina, one of the florists I highly recommend working with! She help pull together a MIRACLE, after firing our original florist only two weeks before the big Day! She listened, cared and helped save our vision and helped turn it into a DREAM COME TRUE for the bride! I went to the Keller Tom Thumb on 6/30/18 I have almost always had excellent customer service there. I had a cashier named Kelsey and she was so rude. She judged my purchase and asked if I was stocking up for the Apocalypse to which I replied no I just have twin toddlers who were with me. Then she continued to make judgmental comments. Lastly I presented 3-not a huge amount coupons and she huffed and puffed over having to enter them (mind you one of them was a discount coupon from tom thumb from a previous trip because I shop here often). Getting to the grocery store with 2 three year old boys is no easy accomplishment and for your staff to judge me, make rude comments, and generally be miserable doesn't make it any easier for me to shop there and it doesn't make me want to go back. read more

This Tom Thumb is typically clean, has a good lay out, friendly employees, and I regularly stop up here to check our their clearance areas too. You'd be surprised at the deals you can get not only in non-perishable items but the meat that is approaching sell-by date. They have a nice Starbucks inside... Tom Thumb reminds me of Safeway in Colorado and Giant Eagle in Maryland. The prices are higher than Kroger and they say they have a better selection / store is cleaner than Kroger, but I just see higher prices. The checkout folks are pretty nice but there aren't enough of them. If you want to pay higher prices and feel like you are getting more value for the atmosphere and service, go to Central Market. I emailed them sent feedback still did not get an answer and when they finally brought the order it was only a third of it. I went into Tom Thumb to grab a few things I needed for dinner. I was just having an awful Monday when I got in line to pay for my groceries. That's when I was greeted by Jessica...she is the definition of customer service. I don't know if Jessica loves her job, but she sure puts on an amazing show!! She had a great sense of humor, she was a ball of energy, and she definitely turned my day around. I know I pay more for shopping at Tom Thumb, but that may soon come to an end. I stood in line and literally watched a Tom Thumb cashier stand behind the other cashier, which was checking out a customer. This second cashier stood there while the customer bagged and loaded their groceries in their own cart. Never offered to help, never lifted a finger. My cashier was no better. I was looking for an item, but the shelf was empty. I asked him if there were any else where "I DON'T KNOW" is all I heard. I asked if he could call back and ask the pharmacy...he said "I DON'T KNOW THE NUMBER". Never did he say, give me a minute and I'll check for you. CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT EXSIST AT THIS TOM THUMB. So why do I want to pay more? Do away with these cashiers and put self check out. We do the work anyway. What are they being paid for? So disappointed. Just to be fair, there are one or two cashiers that are actually very friendly, efficient and helpful. Just not the two that were working yesterday! read more

So sad to have to take away stars for this TT. I had been shopping at the Hurst store but came back to this one over the holidays since it's a little closer to my house and I was pressed for time most of the month. I'm not as happy with this store as I was this past summer when I saw that they'd upgraded their produce department. I buy a lot of produce so a good produce department is important to me. Unfortunately, either they aren't maintaining it well, or the quality of the produce they get isn't as good as what the Hurst store gets. Whenever I've gone in this store over the past few months, I see old produce and poor-quality produce. It's not everything, of course, but just usually what I'm there to buy. I've also noticed that some of the misters don't work so the produce underneath doesn't stay moist (might be why it's shriveled). And I can rarely ever find someone who works in this area when I'm there. There have also been a few times when I've been in that this store has had a seriously strong 'fish' smell. I mean seriously strong. It doesn't strike me as a good sign that the seafood area is being maintained properly. Anyway, I'll pop in here for a few things if I'm driving by, but for my regular shopping, I'm back at the Hurst store. Glad it's only an extra mile or so. read more

Unfortunately, this grocery store is the best of the bunch in my area. The Kroger across the street is just gross, and I've had one too many experiences with weirdos in the parking lot there. Anyway, this TT has issues galore. A product I had been buying regularly was suddenly gone, though the shelf marker was still there. After about a week, I asked if the product was just out of stock or if it was going away for good, and no one could answer the question. Keller Town Hall is right behind the store, and when something is going on there, people flood the TT parking lot. IMO, they should have an arrangement with the city so that this does not happen. It's irritating to be sick, need to run in for a prescription, and have to park across the street at Kroger. They're constantly out of the smaller shopping carts, which is completely annoying. They've started consistently burning the bagels. It's a miracle to find fresh basil there. And it seems like every time I go in, another one of my favorite products is gone. And unlike one of the previous reviewers, I don't want to be inundated with people asking if I need help. I like to be left alone when I'm shopping. If I need help with something, I'll find you and ask for it. It's annoying when you can't stop to read labels or compare prices without someone interrupting you because they think you're confused and need help. read more

Nice store, good selection. Pricey, but worth it for those items that other stores don't carry. Love their floral department, great and interesting house plants as well as arrangements. I like to go there to pick up something bright for house guests.
