Received a blue bell icecream cake from here. Dropped it on the floor, didn't even smudge in the holder. Red flag #1. Red flag number two was when we tried to cut it out for people it actually crumbled and fell like a Jenga tower. A blue bell icecream Jenga tower. Took a bite, it was stale. How was a frozen good stale? Had delivery order scheduled for 12-2 pm. Order was picked up and driver for some reason could not cancel so I kept getting emails and text saying order delayed! I called to cancel order and representative said that I could not request refund because order was still pending and out for delivery! At 5pm, I got an email saying order was undeliverable and to please call 1-800 # to discuss my options. Trying to get my $$$$ back and now I've been on hold for 20 minutes! OMG !!! Now it is going to take them 5-7 business days! Wow!! talk about ripping you off! Use Walmart delivery much better!!! read more

This store is small, very few selections, very few generic brands. Sadly because it's one of very few stores in our town it doesn't "need" to get any better. Staff is eh. They have there items crammed in and it seems like it's always crowded but really it's just the crap they have crammed into the store. Sales are so so. The only reason I love this store is for the occasional good sale and for the Starbucks because it's better than the actual SB store in town. read more

It's very unusual that only at this location they don't sell individual pastries after a certain hour. Logan, in particular has been turning me down on multiple occasion when I asked for a single croissant, offering me a 4 pack. All other locations they entertain my request by either providing me with a fresh pastry from the back or opening a 4 pack and restocking the empty individual display. I like uniformity. If you are Tom Thumb, be like every other one in the area. And most importantly don't argue with a buying customer. It's just rude! read more

Like this location, it's clean, we'll stocked, and fairly low prices. One thing that bothered me is this one time that a employees was politely helping me with the self check out and a manager walked up and interupted and was rude and told him to open up a register when she was clearly doing nothing. The products and customer service are fine overall in my experience, just on the expensive side. Unfortunately, one of the deli employees is very unpleasant to deal with. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt for a few months now but there has not been any change. No complaints about the deli meat itself (at least the type I get) though, and I have no other issues with the store. read more

This store had gone way down hill. Two days ago, I purchased bulk Italian sausage and went to use it yesterday, and it smelled rancid. After looking at it, they tucked old meat into a thin layer of newer meat. This has happened to me before buying ground meat from them. They tuck green meat, or spoiling meat, inside newer meat so that it can not be seen. I bought Chicken breast from them about three weeks ago. They were huge. I thought it was several pieces, but turned out it was 4 very large breast. I gagged. It didn't look natural. It's almost as if they are doing their best not to throw away anything even if it's beginning to spoil. In their clearance section, the meat literally is "green ". I don't know who they expect to buy that. You wouldn't buy it to make dog food, even. I guess I will be travelling to Kroger, three miles, away. I dread Tom Thumb stores. The managers are never around. The cashiers are cold. The prices are sky high. I have to go in and get gluten free cereal. I went in and went to the register digging for my card to save $3. I get yelled at by the sack lady to move my cereal to another register. OK, I did even though I have all my children with me and the lady in front of me is paying her bill. I move my cereal and see that the customer is still waiting and I will have to wait now. It's my turn and I give my phone # to save $3. I give another phone # to see if it works. The cashier didn't offer his number or give me a new card. Just said "your total is $15." The store was empty. Crazy!!! I go out to my car with my kids and see my card in my glove compartment. I didn't go in. I will never go in again. read more

Do NOT use their delivery service. Ordered food and scheduled for delivery last night. They contracted out to door dash and the food never showed up. Now they'e cancelled the order but will take 5-7 days to refund my money. Severely disappointed. I have shopped here on two separate occasions and both times my pork steaks were spoiled rotten. I also purchased precut fruit. Same thing. Not just a little smelly but upon opening the packaging the smell was horrid, meat discolored and slimy. The first time I returned it the second time I threw away $20 in pork steaks and decided I will never go back. Check the expiration date on anything you purchase from here they sell spoiled food. read more

I came in to the floral department today after another florist had promised to deliver a corsage for my sisters senior prom, and backed out the night before. I didn't think they would be able to do much the day of, but after I told the staff what had happened they jumped in to help! Sharon went back to see if there was anything they could do and Sheila told her to send me back even though she had many other orders she was working on. Sheila and Stephanie made my sister a truly amazing corsage and saved her senior prom! I can't thank them enough for the kindness they showed me. I would highly reccomend the floral department at this Tom Thumb! read more

The prices are higher than any of their competitors. Their treatment of employees is bad. They hire young teenagers and start them at a decent rate (in order to entice them to go to work for Tom Thumb) with a promise of a large raise after 6 months. The first 6 months they work them like slave labor, giving them the worst hours. When they reach the 6 month date, they do raise their hourly salary BUT cut their work hours to 2 to 3 hours a week, at the most. It is discussed amongst the employees that they do this so these employees will quit and they can hire new employees at the lower rate. For these two reasons, I have completely stopped shopping at this store. Why pay more when there is no value added AND when I know how they treat employees. read more

I shop here for meat and produce because well...Kroger doesn't have the best. Store Director has a horrible attitude. I encountered her once and she was very rude. it's a very clean and nice store, but with a store director so rude I can't justify helping her by giving her store my money. read more

Tom Thumb is much more pricey than other competitors. Some may say they are nicer inside, but the competitor that I will be frequenting from now on is actually just as nice. This particular Tom Thumb will ask you to shop them instead of the competitors, but after learning about a hiring practice of theirs, I will NEVER shop here again. They hire young adults and teenagers at a decent hourly wage. They work them as many hours as they can. At six months they give them almost a $2/hr raise. Sounds good, right? WRONG - they then begin to give them no hours or 3 or 4 hours a week, giving the new hires (ones making less money) the hours. Basically forcing them to quit. Maybe this is good business, but it shows poor community involvement. And this isn't an isolated event. I was told about this and have witnessed it with MANY of their young employees. So to Tom Thumb I say, if you want me to frequent your store more than your competitors, then treat your employees fairly. Maybe this is just at this particular location. I can't comment about the other locations. Or perhaps it is a company wide policy. Either way, it is a display of low regard for the customers and employees. read more
