Tel (703) 708-7991 https://www.zeinounrenovation.com/ I have been dreaming and saving for my new kitchen for years. It was quite a big project since I wanted to remove the wall between my kitchen and dining room, move the gas line and plumbing, close a small window, and install hardwood floors on the whole main floor instead of wood, carpet and tiles, which we previously had. Tony listened to my ideas and requests and was able to perfectly execute my vision. The whole renovation project has been stress free as Tony took care of every permit, timely order of all materials ( all excellent quality), paid attention to every detail and was patient when I asked for small modifications. He made my dream kitchen come true. I strongly recommend his services and would definitely use again in the future for other projects. Tony is very experienced, professional and reliable.

Met with this contractor to request a quote based on reviews. Professional response, automated…read moreconfirmation, arrived on time. It appears my 10K budget for labor was too small a project - which is fine. However, the contractor did not intend to respond after the initial site visit. I had to follow up to request an update on the quote which is when he responded: The way I see it it will cost a bunch of money and I'm not sure you are willing to have that conversation. Am I wrong? How can you negotiate without providing a quote? Poor customer experience to say the least. Contractors need to understand our time is just as valuable as yours and that customer experience matters as much, if not more, than anything else. Customers can handle it if the contractor is not interested in the job. It's rudeness we object to.

Foster Remodeling's seminar on renovating was informative and showcased a range of completed…read moreprojects, but we found the before-and-after photos dated in design, finishes, and functionality--far from the premier quality we expected based on online presence. After meeting with a design specialist and waiting 4-6 weeks for a virtual rendering and floorplan, the proposed design felt bare minimum, outdated, and lacked creativity. Worst of all, the quoted estimate was almost triple our stated budget, largely due to high overhead as a design-build firm. While the company offers detailed process overviews, longstanding experience, references at the onset, and a good warranty program, we found the design quality, speed, and pricing disappointing overall. Attend their seminars for educational value, but if you value cutting-edge design, this firm may not be the right fit.

Foster did two jobs for us over the past nine years: one an extensive remodeling of a sunroom…read moreenclosure, the other a smaller job upgrading our garage interior and turning it into a workshop. We subsequently had them bid on a bathroom renovation about two years ago, but they were grossly overpriced - nearly twice the bid of the contractor we chose. If you have lots of money and don't want to be or can't be involved in the daily management of your project... this might be the company for you. Their general workmanship is good and they are responsive with ongoing jobs. However, they are very expensive - almost a minimum job price - and they are not responsive to warranty questions and issues in the timeframe that follows the completion of a job. They've simply become too expensive for us...even given our past engagement with them.

I sent him a follow-up email with a bullet list of the jobs. 10 days passed and then I got the bill. I was surprised. Rick sent two guys and they were there for three hours. So the four bullet points I listed was equivalent to *6* man hours worth of work? Here's what I requested: *master bathroom toilet taking a long time to fill up (they replaced the tower and flapper and also replaced a flapper in another bathroom) *small water stain on master bedroom ceiling - find out if it is an active or old leak, prime and paint (they went in the attic and looked around. They painted over the stain but it didn't match and the renter had to repaint after they were done) *small water stain on ceiling in foyer above stairs - old leak, prime and paint (They painted over the stain but it didn't match and the renter had to repaint after they were done) *repair drywall in master bedroom closet where shelving fell down (patch up holes and paint) They also caulked 6-8 feet of crown molding (that was not on my list and even the renter said not to do it). All for $395. Still searching for a handyman....too expensive for such minor repairs and does not seem necessary for two guys to be there for 3 hours.

Anyway, we bought a house, and things started to slowly fall apart. First, the latch on the front door broke. Rick sent a guy to our house to evaluate it free of charge. He told us the parts we needed to order, and came back later to install it for a very reasonable rate. A month or two later, a different part of a different door broke, the same night our garbage disposal decided to die on us. I called up Rick again the next morning, and within a few hours a very nice guy was at our house, unscrewing the door handle to fix it. He jumped right over to the garbage disposal, and knocked that out quickly too. He even had time to look at my sad little door bell. He said he could fix it, but offered me a cheap alternative and showed me how to fix it myself with a part from Home Depot. He was here for a good 45 minutes and the cost was only $50 (probably because it required no parts, but still, I was thrilled!) He even took the time to love on my dog :) Everyone I've talked to at the company has been polite, respectful, and helpful. I don't feel like they've taken advantage of me (a young, clueless woman) at all, rather they've really worked to build a good reputation with me. I know when I have bigger jobs I'll be calling them again.
