I recently had my French Doors (leading to my 2nd-floor deck) replaced with Sliding Doors. The…read moreinstallation was completed by Finish Carpenter. The job was a challenge because they had to hoist the three-door, assembled frame up to my second-floor deck. They safely prepared all the decking in drop cloths to prevent any damage to the frame or the deck. They expertly removed the old frame and installed the new one with flashing tape and a door pan to avoid any moisture or mold. They filled in the door gaps with insulation foam, trim, and caulking, and painted all the trim nail holes. They are extremely neat, organized, and very efficient. They cleaned up the entire area and vacuumed. They disposed of all the old material, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their expert craftsmanship. I highly recommend Zoabdile, the owner of Finish Carpenter, for any carpentry project, including windows, doors, etc. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, and patient, explaining all the minute details of the project, and has all the latest tools to make the project a professional one. I was very satisfied from beginning to end with Finish Carpentry and highly recommend them.

We also wanted to get a new countertop, which they do not do, but Luis referred us to someone else who was equally as responsive and efficient. The whole project took under one month from getting a quote to finishing the job. We were very pleased with the process! One thing to note is that while the quote is indeed on the lower end of what is out there, the work might not be considered absolute perfection. (e.g. paint might be a touch uneven in some areas; some difficult corners of kitchen have a bit of a rougher cut on the tile but still patched with grout) For me though, it was not an issue because I do still think the job was worth 5 stars for the value. Just know what you are paying for!

Marian honored his price even though we didnt choose him for flooring. He rearranged his schedule to accomodate mine. He and his colleague came out the following day earlier than expected. After walking through the project for over an hour before getting started, it was determined that the goal I wanted wasnt going to work. Marian gave me recommendations and left without charging me for his time. I felt bad so I asked if he can move the floors upstairs. After he finished moving floors he said I dont have to pay him if I dont want to. Never have I seen a contractor as honest as Marian and turn down a payment. During the second visit, I stopped asking for cost, just gave a to do list then paid with CashApp when done. Subsequent jobs it was hard to get a response as to day/time. Although he seemed nice at first, after the first visit, felt like he was annoyed by me or something. I brushed it off as resting b-face but then communication became harder. He gave an excuse of phone issues but it seemed to ding and dong when he was here. For today's list I pushed and prodded to get a day/time. I did say that I would be home all day in order to work around his schedule. He said arrival 9:30-10am. Great, errands popped up but I moved somethings around to accommodate his arrival. Well after no show/no call, he rings me at 11:50 to say 12:30-ish. At this point I'm done. Getting a response and day/time commitments wore me out. Why am I chasing behind someone to work? My lists are like $500 each and are less than 8 hours of work. Sadly the professionalism that we started with crumbled and died a slow death.
