Back in December I decided I needed a new car. I had my Nissan Altima since 2018, and I wanted to go from a car to a new SUV. I was going to keep my car, just wanted a second one. I wanted an SUV because it's easier to deal with the winter weather and also needed the trunk space for both shopping trips and whenever I needed to put in my families bags for vacations. I came to Tom Ahl because a couple of friends recommended that I go here. The car shopping experience was unexceptional. I just didn't feel like the salesman was that interested in selling me a vehicle or making a deal. I wanted a new car and was shown a several year old buick. The price was rather high for that. After several years of struggling to find the exact truck that I wanted, one popped up on Autotrader that was located at Tom Ahl Buick GMC. I had never shopped there before but couldn't pass up the chance of trying for this truck. I looked through their list of employees on the site and chose Braden to email as he looked the most relatable with my own personality. I sent the message after hours on a Friday expressing my interest in the vehicle and asking what the total price would be out-the-door to give me an idea of what kind of fees and extras they would try to put into the price. Braden replied first thing the following morning when the dealership opened and provided the information upfront. There were no hidden fees or obligatory extras. We exchanged several emails throughout the day discussing pricing for both the truck as well as my trade-in. First thing Monday morning, we finalized the pricing for both and began discussing the financing where I applied through both Tom Ahl and my local credit union for comparison. Tom Ahl got me the same rate my bank offered. I scheduled a time that day to drive down to test drive it. Once I arrived on-site, Braden handed me the keys to go out and test drive it on my own while he stayed at the dealership to continue assisting his other customers with their deals. When I got back, I told him that I was interested in it and wanted to move forward with the paperwork. After a short wait due to how busy they were with the end-of-year rush on cars, I met with Jay in their Finance office and got everything signed. Neither Braden or Jay ever tried to pressure me into buying things I didn't need or strong-arming me into doing one thing or another. I did the entire negotiating aspect of my deal online and over text and was at the dealership less than an hour including the time I was driving the truck. This was by far the easiest and stress-free car buying experience I have ever had. You read so many articles and watch so many videos about how car dealerships are out to get you or sneak things past you but none of that applied to the team at Tom Ahl. There isn't a single piece of feedback that I can think of on how they could have improved my experience with this truck purchase. read more

Talk about price gouging. $120. To program 2 remotes to my car. Ot takes 30 mi s to program them. Talk about a greedy Industry. I can see $20 or $30 to do it. Will never buy from Tham or do business with them. All it takes is a few people to start standing up to them. Let the price gouging stop. read more

I will never go here again to get a car or have it worked on. They have had my car for a week. They still don't know what is wrong just that it's the transmission. They said they couldn't give me a courtesy vehicle because I don't have a warranty for that. Then I have to call 8 times just to get someone to answer the phone then to be put on hold for 10 min. Then someone runs a diagnostic on my car but then has to be handed off to someone else because they are not a transmission tech. Then they call today to rem me of an appointment for this week but they already have my car and have had it. I am more than unhappy. read more

Do not take your vehicle here. IMO and experience they will say or do whatever they can to deny they did inferior work. They forgot to place a clamp and o-ring in my vehicle. Then when I have to take it to another dealership they deny having forgot to fix it properly. They put a inferior o ring in and told me it was always there. Now at the other dealership and 500$ total out of pocket I am having their mistakes fixed. No refund, just excuse on why they didn't do it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. read more

Just bought a new car from Dana Mason at Tom Ahl. I can't say enough about how great the experience was. It was nothing like the other dealerships I had gone to in the last few weeks. Dana was not pushy at all! He was very informative and patient. This was a big purchase and I needed to take my time and be sure. Also I had a lot of questions. I did not like how aggressive the other dealerships had been. I'm really glad I found Dana. Drove 2.5 hours to meet him and view the car, but it was worth it! I had my 2012 Chevy Silverado Duramax Diesel towed in to Tom Ahl after it broke down. The "diesel" mechanic told me that I had put gas in my truck. So of course I showed them the receipt from the last purchase of Diesel fuel that I had made two days prior. They still didn't believe me and told me that I needed to get it sent out for testing. I paid over 100$ to get the fuel tested and it met DIESEL specifications. The service department didn't trust that I sent the fuel they gave me and they resent fuel on their own. While this two week process was going on they refused to let me have a rental car. Mind you my truck was still under warranty. After their tests came back clear they continued to blame me for various things. They were trying to charge me 7,000$ to replace my fuel pump that had shred to pieces saying that it wasn't covered under warranty. I then called GM to find out they hadn't even attempted to make a warranty claim. So after a month I had nothing accomplished. Come to find out the "Diesel" mechanic is the service managers son. So even when I complained to management I got nowhere. I had to get a truck and trailer and take my truck to Toledo where I purchased it. They fixed my truck with no problems and 100% was covered under warranty! I would NEVER go to Tom Ahl for anything! read more
