I contacted the Town of Brookhaven, New York and a tree on my property, under their control, was…read moredead and I felt a danger to myself and the users of the street. Amongst other things, I told them I was physically handicapped with mobility issues. They sent Tree's R Us, an advertised lowest price operator. Do you really only get what you pay for? I say yes. The tree came down with precision and speed. They left on Friday last , 04/07/2018 with the stump remaining and holes as deep as 9" and a full foot in diameter in my front lawn. They were doing sub work for the Town of Brookhaven. I went out Sunday last and started to spring clean the yard. I was blowing debris and backed into a hole. I recently had a "cage" rebuild my lumbar spine with fusion and my cervical spine fused which cost my insurance company 800k in all. So Sunday night I spent seven hours in Brookhaven's Emergency room. I have all the old problems and now a twitch in my face and severe neck pain/headache and pins and needles in my left thumb and pointer. Today is Tuesday, and the grinding crew showed along with 3 or 4 large trucks. I had sent a letter to the Town telling them I wanted notice of my lawn repairs so I could video tape with my home security. I guess the Town told them to hurry and that's why all the machinery and manpower stood Idol while the grinding was finished. I saw the "shovel guy" filling in the holes with grinder dust. I made my way outside with my walker and saw nice black topsoil over the area. I took the leg of my walker and dug in. They dusted the soil over the top to make it appear as full. It's soft as you could image stepping on saw dust. A worker approached me and I told him firmly to get off my property, that he was trespassing. One response was "call 911". I told him shouting, in a rage, "get the **** off my property. He returned in a rage, "nobody talks to me that way". Another response to that was the holes were from my tree and "is that the reason you're so angry?" Believe it or not, then they used this boom truck with a scoop and took a large scoop of topsoil from the tree area and threw it in the back of the truck. As they left with about 5 trucks I heard a long, drawn out honking from the convoy. Not a double tap,"I'm here", one log one as in FYOU. I check his personal and business dealings listed with the Suffolk County Online clerk as I do in all my dealings. I also checked the NYS Ecourts. What I found was interesting. Corporations name is actually Tree's "R" US Inc. Made my search an extra 10 minutes as the other d/b/a's make a search confusing. Electronic surveillance is the future. My tax dollars hard at work, thanks Town of Brookhaven, Highway Department.

While I did not use Trees Are Us for tree-related purposes, I first discovered them in my…read moreneighborhood today after they were working at a nearby house to clear the snow from this past weekends snow storm and I thought my Toro snowblower had broken yesterday, so I was unable to do a lot of the clearing of the driveway of my family's home. Unfortunately, there were not many shovelers around in my neighborhood today or yesterday until I met Eduardo, the owner and Al, the worker who was assisting him from Trees Are Us and I found them both to be friendly, courteous, honest, and eager to help! While they had other houses to clear, they offered to come back about an hour and a half from when I spoke to them at 2:00PM today. True to their word, they were there an hour and a half later armed with two snowblowers plus a shovel and they were able to clear the two feet of snow from our driveway in about an hour. In addition, Eduardo was also happy to help me fix my Toro snowblower, by draining some old fuel that was in the tank and putting in fresh fuel, which was appreciated. When I tried it, my Toro worked as well as the day I bought it over four years ago and was ready, in case the next storm occurs. Also, he advised me that even though I would have to go out twice, it is best that I snowblow two times, as my snowblower, which is not commercial grade, can only handle a foot and this would help so I would not have to work as much with very heavy accumulations at the end of the storm. What's more? Eduardo only charged me $75 for the whole driverway, which was very reasonable for the excellent quality of work. Overall, I would definitely use Trees Are Us again for tree or snow related purposes as they were honest, friendly, and helpful!

I spoke with him on the phone and he came the next day, evaluated the job and gave me a very fair price. He arrived with a very large crew. They took 1/2 my fence down, took all 5 trees down, cut the stump down as much as he could, poured root killer and then put the fence back up. They also did some extra work trimming my Leland Trees and even cleaned up my front garden without being asked, Can't say enough about the man and his crew. Unfortunately, there were many branches left and when contacting him, I was told he would take them the following week. It is now TWO weeks later and they are still there. I also had to cleanup my property with all of the branches that were not picked up within my yard. Today, found a 10 foot branch ontop of one of my trees which was definitely a fresh cut, not broken. Would not let them back on my property again. BEWARE they are not good at cleaning up but are still paid well!!! Also, their truck hit my neighbors mailbox when pulling out of my driveway and although she was told to send him the bill, and did, still has not been reimbursed for the repair!
