While staying in stovepipe wells in Death Valley NP we stayed at hotel and frequented this restaurant it is in walking distance of our room. We had dinner and tried the salmon with wild rice it was very good. The went for breakfast which is a Buffett and that too was a good choice of things and we'll stocked along with coffee and juice. Today we had lunch and had a cheeseburger with a side salad. Both were very good, I appreciate the salad was not just yucky iceberg lettuce it was a spring mix and was very tasty. We also splurged with dessert today with lunch it was a flourless chocolate cake with fresh raspberries. Soooo good!! Service was super very friendly people. Highly recommend!!

Menu isn't overly extensive but there are enough choices! We came to dinner and had the 12 oz ribeye. It comes with salad and fries. Steak was cooked to medium as requested! Considering you're in the middle of a national park with limited options, this place is a good option for dinner! Right next to the campground.

Decided to stop here for lunch amid our jeep exploration day at the park. Such a pleasant surprise. Service was super friendly, helpful, responsive, and attentive. The dining room is cute, decorated as you would expect for the location and history. The food was way better than we expected. BBQ chicken pizza amply sized and delicious, chicken club wrap yummy and the onion ring upgrade was super generous - our party of 4 could not finish them all, elk chili was flavorful and the bowl size was plenty for a meal (comes also with cornbread), and the salad was fresh. Meal was way better than picking up a sandwich to go at the store and eating it while out and about which was our other option. So glad we stopped!

Busy place but we (two of us) were seated right away. The menu is typical American diner fare: pizza, burgers, fish & chips, wraps, . It's connected to the saloon so you can get beer & such with your meal. The wood floors creak & the restaurant has a Death Valley ambiance. Death Valley doesn't have many choices but after hiking Mosaic Canton, stop here for a great burger & beer.

The waitresses are nice . Service is so-so. The menu was a decent size and the prices are good and fair for how far they have to bring everything to cook etc. The food isn't good though unfortunately. The Chilli was ok. The pizza lacked flavor even with all of the topping on it. Also ordered at our table from our company we traveled with was the steak and salmon. The fish and chips was probably the only thing that was decent .

Simple food but very tasty. Miss Debi was a hoot, she made us laugh and checked on us from time to time, she also made sure our drinks were replenished. Place is spacious and decor simple & rustic.

Awesome customer service. All you can eat buffet is as good as it gets in the desert! After the long hike and got starved, I would eat anything! Hahaha The ambiance is peaceful, with a desert theme! Enjoy!

If you've ever been to Death Valley, dining options are limited. With that said, I enjoyed my meals here. We stayed a couple nights here and had breakfast and a couple of dinners. For breakfast, it's a buffet with corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage both turkey and pork, french toast, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, juices and fresh fruit. I thought it was good. For dinner, I had their burger and fish and chips. I was pleasantly surprised as I expected a frozen patty basic burger but the patty was handformed, thick and juicy. The fish and chips was also surprisingly good. Given the limited options, I think this place was pretty decent.

Decently good option, especially when there are hardly other options nearby. The ambiance is nice with rustic exposed wood barn architecture. Service is prompt and our server was very enthusiastic and welcoming.

Food (4/5): The food was decent, especially after a long drive. I had the Chicken Wrap, which comes with fries. Nothing in particular was special. The food was a bit pricey, but to be expected. The fries portion was huge. I would come again if driving and exploring thro h Death Valley as it is the first restaurant coming in. Service (4/5): The staff were friendly, and my party of 4 could be seated immediately sitting at the Saloon. You serve water yourself. There is also free Wi-fi within the restaurant. Ambiance (4/5): This place has very Southern vibe to it, with Southern music playing in the background. The place had a good amount of business on a Saturday afternoon. Bathrooms were quite clean as well.

Elk Chili and corn bread. Hardy and delicious.

This was one of three restaurants in the national park. We had a casual dinner here and also at the Tavern next door or maybe it was the other way around. Anyway, the two venues are connected, and they use the same menu. Located in the little desert oasis of Stovepipe Wells within the park the meals are good, and the prices are reasonable. This night I had the Elk chili with corn bread. It was hardy and delicious. I could justify $15. Hubs had, for the second time, the Piled High turkey sandwich, $12.95, which was delicious again. The Alaskan Amber was light and refreshing, $7. We are so glad we noticed this area up the road as we stood on the Mesquite sand dunes. We would have paid twice as much at the buffet and dinner at the two hotels in Furnace Creek.

We were staying in the park for two nights so we had a couple of dinners and breakfasts. I tried to be healthy and get the stuffed poblano peppers and those were decent but I wouldn't reccommend them-unless you're vegetarian. The next night I gave up and just went with a bison burger which was solid. For breakfast if you get to the breakfast bar early enough there are fresh mixed berries and plantains which were a unique touch. The prices weren't too bad either. The staff were all very friendly, the meals came out quickly, and the restaurant and Saloon had a rustic decor that went with the locale. Since we weren't traveling with children I preferred the Saloon with the beautiful views. Considering all that has made things difficult lately, tariffs, wars, etc... the fact that you can get a decent meal in a remote location is pretty impressive.

I asked him what beers he had on tap and he responded with "I'm not going to tell you all of them!"... so I got up and walked over to his bar and looked... I then met him at the bar and told him what I wanted and he didn't even make eye contact and just mumbled "ok". Then he brought our drinks without a word and we were ignored. We waited over a half hour just sitting there. Finally I walked up and asked for our check as we had waited long enough. These people have a lot to learn about the service industry. They may be able to get away with this with foreigners who frequent this place, but not Americans. Below is a photo of the "too many beers to mention". Seriously!

We hadn't made a reservation (the rain…read morealtered our plans), so we got there when they opened to make sure we got a seat, and we were seated promptly. The service was excellent - our server was very friendly and personable, chatting with us and making recommendations when asked. Everything arrived promptly and as requested. (For instance, I ordered a cocktail with our appetizer and also asked for a glass of wine to be brought with the steak, and the timing was perfect - not always the case when you ask for something to come 20 minutes later.) The food is basic "steakhouse" food - no bells and whistles, and nothing to make it unique, but the steak was delicious, and the sides were perfectly fine. It certainly hit the spot after a day of hiking and exploring. It's expensive, as one would expect in a remote location like this. In normal circumstances, the value wouldn't be there to make it worth visiting... but in the middle of Death Valley, I'll take it! I would go back if I was staying the night again for sure.

I had the roasted chicken, which was quite tasty, particularly the sauce it came in. However I was pretty disappointed in the portion size, particularly given the prices are pretty steep. The size of "veggies and potatoes" was 3 small cuts of a potato and 2 similarly sized cuts of a carrot. The chicken portion was essentially just a leg. The entire area has a bit of a theme park feel to it with pricing, but this felt pretty egregious for $29. Our entire group had a similar takeaway, though some others didn't find theirs as tasty as mine was. I'd pretty strongly recommend against coming here, the sports bar nearby is a far better bang for your buck with probably slightly better quality of food

Driving by, my brother and I thought, wow, that place doesn't even look open and it doesn't look like it would be very good so we went to the Candy and Nut place that we were there for, we shopped and on the way out, we asked people that worked there and they all said it doesn't look like much but is really great inside. So back we went and Yeah, it had quirks. The waitress was super friendly, I am sorry I didn't get her name.. It was small with about 10 tables. The one we sat at was super wobbly and the floor was stained and I thought, well, this is going to be interesting. I liked the deco--old photos of old stars, cars, old coke glasses, very unique and looked it up while we waited for our drinks, its been there for 60 years.... I got a soda and my brother a coffee. He said it was good. I got eggs and hashbrowns and he got the same + bacon. Served on a paper plate (I laugh because we don't use plates at home) but it was good. we saw burros walking by. The bathroom was private (Outside on the side of the building, like a gas station might have) and it was clean... it locked. I did hear a burro walk by hooting, that was, well, a hoot. All in all, the menu looked good--Though I am glad I eat eggs because if I didn't, there would not be much for Vegans... But I would still go back on my next visit to the area.
