Andelin Family Farm - Fun maze game

We haven't visited since last year's Baby Animals event and boy have they changed things up! They…read moreset up a long ticket booth to the right of the entrance with nice winding queue line, divided into Prepaid and Purchasing lines. I was surprised to see how they pushed the entrance area past the barn, but totally makes sense for those who may want to just stop by to shop and not want to enjoy the festivities. The staff were all friendly and kept up with keeping the animal pens clear of poop, especially for the petting ones. They had signage to designate which ones you could feed the animal food to and which ones you couldn't enter due to the animals resting. I really liked how they sectioned off all the animals off to the left side with its own entrance and exit and lots of sanitizing and handwashing stations nearby. They had some new things at the farm too. I saw signage advertising Cuddling with Calves for $20 (kids 8+). They also had some additional calves to see and pet along the way. So adorable! Outside of the animal area, they had a new section, Peacock Pedalers, that allowed kids and adults to ride tricycles around. They also had refreshment stations within the farm for drinks, kettlecorn, and other snacks, which made it convenient. What surprised me was that the features that were typically busy on our past visits, like the mini zip lines and the barrel ride, were very little to no waits. They offered lots of seating for taking a break and grabbing some food from the three food trucks they offered. The pulled pork nachos were yummy! It was a great deal to spend the day at the farm for $20 tickets. Yes, they offered lots of additions like the animal feed, train tickets, and gem sluicing for a price but not really necessary to have a great experience. The baby chicks and goats were the highlight of our visit. My daughter wants to go back next weekend!

Came here for tulip picking and it was a cute experience overall…read more We went mid-day and it wasn't too crowded, which I loved. The only downside was the wind, a lot of the tulips were either dead or hadn't fully bloomed yet, so it took a little digging to find good ones. We still ended up with some pretty tulips though! And I have to say, their care tips actually work. The penny and ice water made such a difference and perked them right up. I'd come back again, just would try to go earlier in the season next time!

My rating is still a 5 star review! I honestly wish I could give them more. The entire atmosphere…read morethey create at this farm is spectacular. They set up gorgeous backdrops for pictures, have an awesome corn maze, and their pick your own pumpkin patch is the best I've ever been to. Where else can you pull over 10 different types of pumpkins, and numerous types of gourds, right off the vine?! Their location right off Highway 395 makes it an easy drive from Reno, and a scenic one at that! Their food shack has some pretty amazing choices too. So come hungry with a camera in hand and enjoy!!

Great place to take your kids. About an hour drive from Reno. The farm is near the back from the…read moremain highway. Large place for kids to run around and play. Pretty inexpensive. They have a cute general store with lots of gift items that are reasonably priced. They have a snack shack with great barbecue hamburgers and hotdogs. Meals with chips and soda run from $7+. They take visa and MasterCard. You can get pumpkin pie which was amazing, caramel apples and hot chocolate and coffee. There are plenty of picnic tables and lots of green grass to lay down a blanket and relax. Small hay-bale maze for the Little's. Pumpkin games and large corn maze which was awesome. The corn maze is $4 per person and take a minimum hour to get through so well worth it. The tractor ride is $2 and worth it as well. Big field to grab a red wagon, which they supply to go out and get a pumpkin. Small animal petting zoo. This is an inexpensive fun thing to do with your family and well worth the drive. Plenty of photo opportunities to snap of your Little's as well. We had a great time today. Wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting a little dust on. Pumpkins are priced per size and range from $1-20+ the bigger round the more expensive, but just remember it helps support a great "Local" farm that your kids can continue to enjoy year after year.
