We were created with a great smile and amazing service. Our chef was so much fun! He interacted with us all! The food was amazing and delicious!

The food was great! Great flavor, the staff was on top of it, never had to ask for a drink refill they were just on it. The place was average, not loud at all. This place is very affordable & I'll definitely be coming back!'

Ambiance: There is a lot of indoor seating and we only had to wait ten or so minutes to get seated on a Friday night. The staff were super friendly! They kept asking us if we needed anything and were very attentive. Taste test: This was my first time at a steakhouse and I will say that the food was good! I'm usually not a fan of Miso soup but the one here was tasty There was no powerful flavor that is usually offsetting to me. The rice was flavorful and if you want it to be more spicy you can ask for a sriracha. The noodles and chicken were cooked well and had a nice flavor to them. They give you lot of veggies! Defiantly a place I will come back to.

Great food, great staff and filthy bathrooms. The food here is so good like the bacon fried rice is delicious! The teppenyaki chefs always do a great job. That being said, the bathrooms are filthy. It looked like feces and blood on the walls. That makes me question the hygiene of the whole restaurant. Which sucks because this is one of my favorite places

Mother called and ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll that the worker happily recommended. She also ordered the Tokyo Crunch Roll and their baked mussels. The worker was very nice and said it would be ready in 25 minutes. We went to get it. The order was ready and the workers were kind! Clean, safe and practiced restaurant! Lunchtime! I got everything ready and split evenly per usual. The baked mussels were flavorful and fantastic! The Tokyo Crunch Roll was fresh and tasty! Even better with the wasabi and soy sauce! Crunchy and delicious! Same with the Spicy Tuna roll. It came with ginger and wasabi and that was great as well! My mother said hers was really great! Her fave was the popular/recommended Crunch Roll. Good service and Great lunch! Highly recommended!

Food is very good......music is fun (80's to early 90's). Service is good. Only 3 stars because the place is dirty and poor lighting.

Ask the Community - Tokyo Steakhouse

What time is the lunch Teppan-Yaki on a weekday?

Mon-Thurs 11:30am to 3:30pm Fri 11:30am - 2:30pm

Are they accommodating to special diets and allergies?

Yes they do. If you ask them to withhold something for an allergy, they will. Even if there's separate groups at the table. I've seen them make separate fried rice because someone was allergic to bacon.

Great tasting ramen!…read more My family and I made this place a pit-stop for dinner on a Sacramento to Los Angeles trip. Our original target was the Fresno location, but due to a GPS entry error, we ended up at their Clovis location! It was a little longer drive than usual, but still well-worth the drive. And besides, we were on a family long weekend break so who cares about distance... Our orders were quickly taken on the counter and we were off to find our table. A lot of places to choose from inside and outside seating was also available. And the place was nicely decorated and well-lit! Feels comfortable to dine inside! The menu was quite expansive. And you even have the choice of minor changes to the regular menu. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen...a first of this kind for me, so I just had to have it. And it passed with flying colors! Weird ingredient...but absolutely tasty! And at a really affordable price range! You just have to try our this place when you're in the area! You will love it!

The first time I tried the tonkotsu ramen as takeout and gave it 2 stars. The noodles were soggy from the start and the broth just didn't hit the depth of flavor I was expecting. It felt like something was missing. This time, I dined in and ordered both the spicy miso ramen and tonkotsu ramen, plus a side of chicken karaage. Eating onsite made a difference right away, the noodles held up and the overall taste of the ramen was significantly better. The spicy miso ramen was good, but I was honestly hoping for a stronger miso punch and a bit more heat. It leaned a little milder than expected, though still enjoyable. The tonkotsu this time was better balanced than my first visit. The chicken karaage was good as well. Crispy, light batter, juicy inside really solid fried chicken. I personally would've liked a squeeze of lemon and maybe some Japanese mayo on the side to elevate it even more, but that's just preference. Overall, I feel like this place redeemed itself on a second visit, especially dining in. I'll need to come back to try more of their specialty ramens.

Our waitress was very attentive, and the food came out quickly. Nothing was phenomenal, but everything was fine and cooked properly. The gentleman bringing our food was rushing too much, and when he reached a plate out towards me to hand it off, the sweet chili style sauce slid off and dumped down my blouse, into my shirt, all over my Apple Watch, and down my side onto my pants and the bench seat. Unfortunately, the busboy just stood there saying nothing. I asked for napkins and he quickly brought them, and never apologized. The waitress came back by and mentioned she heard we had an accident and she was sorry about that. We were not comped in any way. That would have been a of show excellent customer service, but instead I was just left with a ruined blouse and sticky and stinky for half of my meal. Overall, a decent experience and decent food, but I hope the bus boy moved a little more carefully from now on! And my goodness, an apology from him would have been great. Happy Mother's Day lol

We've been to Shobu twice now, and it's quickly become one of our favorite Japanese restaurants…read more What I love most is the variety on the menu. Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Cassidy is new to the restaurant and waited on us. an Shewas wonderful -- super friendly, attentive, patient, and just genuinely great service all around. The only downside was the new menu design. The font is extremely tiny, printed on a small laminated sheet, and honestly very difficult to read. Hopefully they make the text larger in the future because the food itself is outstanding. Overall, highly recommend Shobu if you're looking for fresh sushi, excellent sashimi, hearty ramen, and great service.

I was immediate greeted by the two Sushi chefs behind the counter as I walked in. Not long after, the host greeted me and handed me a menu for me to select my order to go. I considered a poke bowl, however, their sauces were pretty standard. So instead I opted for their seaweed salad that came with a number of protein including tuna, edamame, shrimp, avocado, and masago. It was $19, so it wasn't necessarily inexpensive, however I figured a poke bowl with a couple proteins would run me right about there as well. The sushi chef got right away to work preparing my meal and I was in and out within 5 minutes. When I got home, I opened up my box and was a little underwhelmed with the presentation. The protein is cut up into small pieces and mixed in with the seaweed salad. In addition it is not pure seaweed as it is also mixed in with a bunch of other greens such as sprouts. So while the presentation was not what I was expecting, I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed the flavors and textures. I will definitely order this again.
