Meredith (owner) was not only immediately responsive to my inquiry, he was able to schedule the move quickly. My mother had been in hospital, and it was clear that she could not go back to living alone in her own home (age 97!). We found a fabulous option for her, where she could have all of her own furniture. My brother insisted on moving her bedroom on his own so she could be checked out of the hospital faster. I BEGGED him to let me hire professional movers (and pay for it) and he got angry and insisted on doing it himself. So on top of moving my mother's stuff, I had to ask Meredith to now take two pieces of furniture (that my brother damaged beyond belief in his DIY move efforts) to a furniture repair location - which he happily accommodated. I messaged about 10 different movers and about 50% got back to me on Yelp. Of the 50%, I decided to go with Metropolitan because their response time was fast and their prices were competitive. Moving forward, Alex contacted me and was incredibly helpful and professional. He asked some questions help prep for moving day and provided me with some knowledge to help me get ready too. He also gave me a very accurate quote. On the day of the move, Alex and another gentleman shows up, and they were so fast, smooth, and efficient! They were patient and helpful with the tricky pieces of furniture that I had. Super kind and they listened attentively to all requests and concerns while they efficiently moved. Great communicators. If you have any delicate furnitures, do ensure that the movers wrap it with additional blankets and wrap them securely with tape/saran wrap. Several ladies (zella, kathy, brenda) who helped me reserve movers initially and handle post-move discussions were very professional, respectful, and responsive. What we got was 2 movers arriving nearly 3 hours late. Apparently even when we asked for the first appointment of the day, they still managed to book someone else before us. When you have a small window to move 3 hours makes a huge difference and has a frustrating domino effect on everything. Not the worst experience, but also not the best.

Everything seems normal. The day of they are late. Cody calls at 930am saying they cant come and they have no team, asks if they can come the next day at 9. Sure. I do some juggling of tasks. Next day, NOTHING. No message, NO Call, No reaching out. GHOSTED. Still calling 2 days later and nothing. Left my family scrambling to find fine a last minute moving company that can show up same day. Thankfully we did but it ended up costing us probably an extra 300 to 500 dollars. Stay away DO NOT USE
