Build Your Own Salmon Poke Bowl

I love toyko joes so much! The salmon poke bowl hits the spot everytime. Esp with the spicy aioli! I really like that you can get your bowl base with half rice and half greens. There is plenty of both parking and seating at this location. I am convinced you get way more food when you dine in vs togo however.

Ordered from DoorDash and was really pleased with my food. I got a white chicken bowl and it was yummy. The food quality is great too. The food arrived to my house 15 minutes after pickup and it was still warm. The sauce portion was perfect. I want to go back for a dine in experience and try other things on their menu :)

Some think with a chain restaurant, you seen one, you seen them all. Well not in my opinion. First, I was greeted by a lady and really the entire team. I love this group! So friendly and helpful. Very efficient too. Second, they understood my food apprehension! NO RICE!!!! This makes having sushi hard, I know. So their sushi chef was phenomenal! Like the best I think I've seen! He was able to do my favorite sushi in lettuce rolls (lettuce bib I think they call it). Perfect texture and taste! I love the avocado with it too. Simply divine! I love it when a business can accommodate requests like this. It really goes a long way in the customer service aspect. I usually get the shrimp teriyaki bowl, but sometimes the sushi is enough. I do wish they had more than soda and teas, but I do like their tea selection. They have more than many of the other Tokyo Joe's. There is also a ton of seating and the location is super easy to get to. The minus star is because I don't always get my sushi chef (yes everyone deserves a day off) plus a couple times they had some veggies that I said not to have. I also say no 'seeds', but have had some. It happens. I do see a lot of traffic at this location, including take-out orders for GrubHub, UberEats, and DoorDash. I know I have seen them at the Tokyo Joe location in Denver on Grant Street too. Parking is MUCH BETTER at this location! I like when people have excellent customer service skills. I love it when a business is efficient and people are friendly. This specific location has all of that. Let's hope they continue!

Service is great! Food is valid nice eating area. I'd recommend forsure. They have a great menu for people who want options if your interested for more to eat with a simple explanation of all ingredients and items included.

When I arrived at this location, the cashier was unfriendly and rather impatient with my unfamiliarity with their menu and food selection options. She was more concerned about clocking out and getting her food and this was increasingly noticeable as she was talking to her replacement cashier. After a long wait the food finally arrives, it was bland and tasteless even after placing the sauce on.

This is a typical Tokyo Joe's. I had my usual (now, off menu, but, still in the computer) Joe's Special (chicken dark meat + noodles & sauce) which tasted the same as it has over the last decade. Friendly counter help. + Very comfortable chairs. + Apple Pay. 0 Better than average paper napkins.

My favorite was the French toast, crunchy on the outside and warm, soft, and savory on the inside. It was also good I usually don't like anything with coconut and this has it in there. Never would've guessed that's what I was eating because of the way they incorporated all of the other ingredients! Me and my friends ate the ants on a tree, the Korean chicken, sweet and sour chicken, the potatoes, French toast, and the Korean corn dog. We shared everything and all were very full by the end. Which makes me very sad. I finally tried delivery from Ginger pig, and ordered the only two vegan dishes they offer Only one was actually delivered. It was delicious. It was not a very generous portion, and the price was high for what they gave me. I stopped in once during lunchtime to see if I could try the other dish and take it to go. But they didn't offer it during lunchtime. They offered one thing that was vegan, it was eggplant. No other vegetables. Just eggplant. That is not a meal. The person working the counter clearly could not care less. I am honestly confused and disappointed that they seem so uninvested in meeting people's needs. So I consider Ginger Pig to be just another heartbreaking potentially delicious new Asian restaurant that doesn't care about those of us who choose not to eat animals.

Uncle is a small, Asian fusion shrine that one should place on your must visit list. In the Northwest area of Denver, Uncle has limited seating and a show if you sit at the bar. Reservations are strongly suggested and well worth the wait. Crazy combinations, flavor bombs throughout and a culinary delight you won't regret. Tonight, we sat at the bar and watched the magic happen. These guys are cranking out amazing and delectable treats you won't forget. The Uncle salad was a great starter with charred cabbage, lemongrass, mint, cilantro, arugula, and peanuts lightly coated in a Thai coconut dressing. A slight burn only leaving you to crave just one more bite, ha! The fried soft shell crab in a bao bun with green papayo slaw, coconut mayo and cilantro nam prik was sweet, perfect crunch and memorable. Two for two with one dish left. The cold spicy sesame noodles with seasoned chicken, granny Smith apple slivers, arugula, cashews and nanami togorashi, a perfect closing dish for an exceptional meal. The service, food quality, flavors and preformance from the bar seats were second to none. The concept, portion size, flavor and cost were a real treat in the big city food scene of Denver. If you haven't been here yet, get to the internet and book a table, I promise you won't regret it. To the staff, chefs, and all members of Uncle, thank you for a surprising and incredibly great meal, we will return on our future trips to Denver.

The vibe here is of a japanese izakaya, though not a super traditional one, with sake bombs and everything. That said, the food is definitely on the pricier side, though extremely delicious. My typical go to is on of the salad. Now salads typically are not standout at most restaurants, but the ones at Kawa Ni just hits different. Both the red cabbage and pear salad and the brocolli salad are delicious and the portion is massive, easily enough for a table of 4 to share. For apps and shareable entrees, you can't go wrong here. The build your own tuna temaki hand rolls can easily be shared and the tuna is so fresh and well seasoned. The szechuan dumplings are delicious, as is the curry onigiri and the bao bun. The Dan Dan noodle, kimchi Carbonara, and their tonkotsu ramen are also amazing, and, with the exception of the tonkotsu ramen, can easily be shared. I would highly recommend other seasonal dishes as well, such as the coconut swordfish or chicken katsu parm. However, one of my absolute favorite dish here is the ochazuke. It's basically grilled fish over rice in a warm green tea dashi. It's so comforting, especially on a cold night, and a dish that I return to time and time again. Overall, Kawa Ni is an amazing japanese restaurant. Come for the food and just make sure you get a sake bomb and ask for the gong when you do.
