Mocha and Apricot Danish
Bridget M.

This quaint small coffee shop is located in the Gunbarrel area of Boulder. Great, friendly service with delicious drinks and breakfast items. I ordered a mocha and apricot danish (perfect combination of fruit and cheese filling). Another time I ordered the pre-made vegetarian breakfast burrito that hit the spot. Visited during the pandemic - felt safe and comfortable with mask requirements and the layout and direction of customer traffic.

I went to Tod's (now renamed) and got a latte. I was really good had a sip on the way out and then got in my car and it slipped out of my hand and spilled everywhere including on myself! I went inside to get something to clean up and the staff was SO helpful they brought me out a towel and asked if I wanted them to remake it. They also offered wines and everything because I spilled EVERYWHERE. They were genuinely kind and helpful and made great coffee. Needless to say, I'll definitely be supporting their coffee shop countless times again!

Cold brew time!

Tod's is a relaxed atmosphere to either grab some caffeinated drinks and baked goods to hang out and enjoy or to take on the road with you. They offer the typical assortment of espresso and coffee offerings that should satisfy the regular coffee consumer. I personally am a fan of their cold brew coffee, especially on these hot and sunny summer days we are currently having. I don't take cream in my coffee in the first place, but I find Tod's cold brew to be full of flavor that should not disappoint. In addition to their typical assortment, they also have local breakfast burritos and kombucha in their refrigerator for those interested in something besides coffee and baked goods. Check out Tod's and support a great local business!

Warning, this place will make you addicted!! I usually am not a coffee drinker, but this place has made me an addict. I love love the Mocha Latte, the perfect blend of sweet and savory! My coffee-fanatic buddies love this place too. They are super friendly and welcoming. There's free WiFi here for those of you needing to get work done. I love spejing my moments reading a good book and staring out at the beautiful mointains. Heads up, it does get super packed in the mornings, but they still get decorate my drink nicely. Currently there is a happy hour pricing in the afternoon so be sure to ask about it! One of the best pecan pies I've had, it doesn't feel like my dentist will hate me, and my body won't become diabetic. Now, I need to just try as many as I can. Check this neighborhood small business out!

Great coffee. Two cappuccinos and a latte were exquisite for a chilly afternoon. Blackberry pie just excellent. Great spot two warm up. Glad I came

I was visiting my in-laws for a few days and needed to get out of the house to do some work the day after Christmas. My father-in-law suggested Tod's. I always check Yelp, and after taking a quick look at the area close by, chose Tod's. Glad I did. It's a great little cheery spot with a nice, low-key but friendly staff. It was busy but not crowded, with a clean, cozy style. Nice artwork, including some really rich photos of coffee growing communities. And of course, excellent coffee and scones. Oh yeah-added bonus, though it's in a bit of a strip mall, it has a great view of the mountains!

The conscious choice of coffee that Tod's offers :)

Quality would be the word that struck me today while being at Tod's. The building, the interior, the tables, chairs, the coffee, the espresso machine, even the service! I was quite surprised, pleasantly... I have enjoyed working here today, the music has been nice and full of a hopeful life. If you are looking for a good solid coffee shop in Gunbarel, Tod's would be the place to go. It is hands down better than any other local shop, it is trendy new and nice. They have fair trade coffee and the prices are fair. If your just looking for a cup of regular cheap coffee... This isn't the place for you.

Super close to where I live so for that it's worth it! The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. They have WiFi which is handy dandy because lots of people come and do some work. Like a normal coffee shop, they have scones and muffins etc and I think they may also have sandwiches but I couldn't be sure as I've been here twice and both times I got something to drink. I do have to say, both times I've had a drink I've been unimpressed :/ First time around I believe it was a cold brew with coconut milk; I'm used to cold brew being pretty dark but this was waaaaay dark and bitter...coconut milk didn't help much. It just wasn't what I was expecting nor my personal preference for coffee. This time it was an iced tea I got, the barista recommended one so I said yes. Turns out it had lavender in it, which some people might have no problem with, however for me it had an aftertaste of soap. Again, nothing actually wrong with the drinks I got, and AGAIN the employees are very friendly and helpful; it just wasn't up to my tastes. BUT I will for sure be trying it again until I find just what I like! P.s- nice view of the mountains and the hustle and bustle going on outside of King Soopers.

That cafe life.

See all

My only complaint: I don't like to hear the music playing over my headphones that are literally lodged in my ears.

But I am glad we had time today and went shortly after they opened for brunch and really enjoyed ourselves. We decided to share one savory crepe and one sweet. They are very large yet delicate and we barely finished them. Our savory was the Parisian and the sweet was the classic lemon. They were perfect in every way. Order at the counter when you arrive and choose a seat in the dining area. It's classic white walls with art and wood tabletops and metal classic cafe chairs. The food was excellent, the French chef owner made the crepes and delivered them to the table. We had picked up our drinks as we paid before choosing a table. It's usually been full when I've seen pictures in the past but it was a very cold day and students at CU as well as other families just getting back from the holiday season. They also offer Build Your Own Crepe and we probably will next time. For a sweet crepe next time I would do one with Nutella but without any banana as many of the standard choices had. For savory next time I would take the Normandy. We chose quickly today as a line started forming behind us. I had looked online at the menu though my husband had not had time. A plan would be good. It appeared that the counter staff may also be family. It is such a welcoming place with really good food, not found elsewhere in Boulder. And very good pricing for quality and portion size. They opened in an unusual little spot, almost downtown but not quite, in the stretch along Broadway between CU and the Pearl St Mall. They have a small parking access to 4 shared spaces with the shop next door to it and the access is on Arapahoe. If you are staying at the large new hotels on the Hill it's an easy walk, the equivalent of one long block. If you know Boulder well and need to easily park, there is paid parking in the library lot across Broadway and an easy flat walk both ways.
