After a friend suggested it, I liked Paris Grey Cottage's facebook page. I've been seeing the great…read morepictures they post and finally got a chance to check out the shop for myself. It is so cute and cozy inside! They have a good combo of bigger pieces of furniture as well as smaller home decor items. I bought a burlap pillow and an antique salt cellar... And I have my eye on a shabby chic rocker that I hope to buy in the near future. I will definitely be back to this shop - it is clear that they are always changing their inventory so you never know just what treasure you might find!

They have some cute things, but the store is very small and cramped, with barely enough room to walk through. There are more items outside on a porch, but again it's kind of hard to move around to get out there and see everything. The young lady working in the shop was too busy talking on her cell phone to acknowledge me until I came to the register with a picture I wanted to buy. At this point, she says "You do know we only take cash or checks, right?" Really? This is 2012, what legitimate business doesn't accept credit cards? I mean seriously.....you can get a Square-Up card reader for FREE and run them right from your phone! I can't tell you the last time I wrote a check, don't even think I have any, and I never carry cash (as many people don't), so this store just lost not only this sale but any future sales they may have made with me.

We were very…read moreimpressed with all the different items they had for sell by local artists; pillows, books, jewelry, oils, soaps, art supplies, wax/wax warmers, painted shoes, paintings, wood carvings, stones, and so many items I can't name them all here. It was great having a wide variety to pick from! The owner was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful! She even called one of the artists to answer my daughter's question about the exact content in the artisanal wax due to allergies. The paintings and home decor items were unique and representative of the charming community. There were multiple rooms and one even showcased some beautiful paintings. We made several purchases and will definitely visit next time we are in the area!

I was in…read moreStevensville on a Sunday afternoon, just browing some of the local shops and enjoying a lazy Sunday, saw the sign for this place proclaiming that they had a wide variety of artists, so I thought I'd check it out. Once inside, instead of exciting local art, I found a lot of jewelry, soaps, and a LOT of photgraphs. That was about it. They had a sign in the back of the store indicating that there was more art that way, but all I found was more soaps. Nothing really jumped out at me to say "you MUST take me home!" To top it off, the proprietor kept following me around, not-so-discreetly acting like he was reviewing the books, straightening a display, or some other mundane task, but I really got the feeling that he was suffocating me, perhaps thinking I was going to steal something. When I decided to leave the store, another man (who I assume was the proprietor's friend) said to me, "You can't leave, you need to buy something." Well....yes, I can leave, and no, I don't need to buy anything.
