I've always had a great experience when I visit. The owners are very knowledgeable and are friendly. There's items for everyone! I got my brother a birthday present there as a funny gift and it was a great reaction! I will always recommend them for people looking for unique or Local antiques!

    A beautiful selection of antiques.

I love antique stores and this place has definitely been one of my favorites. They have a wide selection that's thoughtfully organized. The owners were super nice and helpful. I didn't come in thinking I'd purchase something but it's hard not to when you walk in to here. They have some really beautiful pieces that anyone would be lucky to have in their home. I would recommend this lovely store to anyone looking for something unique. It's definitely somewhere to stop by. You won't regret it!

Cute little store front, right in the heart of downtown Annapolis!

Well, that ship has sailed as there are now many companies that use old sails to make products so the concept is no longer unique. Despite the novelty of totes made from recycled sails wearing off, I am still a big fan of Sea Bags. What I initially liked about Sea Bags is the lovely, colorful and sharp display of various sizes of bags. I love the bags with fun summer beach colors as well as those with a fancier silver and gold tones. Some bags are simplistic and very reminiscent of a sail while others have been printed with wildly fun colors. I also like the details that go into Sea Bags. For instance, one of them is lined with a fabric that replicates a vintage wall paper. And another bag had rope handles with gold strands that matched the gold on the bag. Sea Bags is able to customize their bags too by printing on them. For example, you could get it monogrammed. Sea Bags come in a variety of sizes from a small pouch to a large tote. The store also sells other items made from old sails like place mats. Beyond bags, they sell doormats made of recycled lines/ropes and some fun jewelry. The icing on the cake at Sea Bags is the employees. They are so friendly and informative! Sea Bags is a small chain and as the name implies, most of them are in Maine. The Annapolis store is the 17th location. Sea Bags will set you back a few doubloons so come prepared to splurge a bit in exchange for some a nice bounty. Treat yourself or buy a lovey Annapolitan gift for another.

One of the featured artists included is Jay Fleming. Last year, I ordered an autographed copy of his latest book for a holiday gift. The proprietor of the gallery, Katherine Burke, actually delivered the book to my door. This year, due to the pandemic, they have pivoted to having frequent online auctions. Their auction platform is very user friendly. I bid on a photo print on canvas and I was the successful bidder. Again, while I was trying to figure out when I would stop in and pick it up, it was delivered to my doorstep. You don't find such personal service in most art houses. This is a great local business and you should definitely take a look at their auction online, or stop in.

When I came to pick up my prints, they were garbage - pixelated, digitally-printed trash. They were not signed, numbered, or in any way gallery quality. When I asked what was going on, Ms. Burke got incredibly defensive and said she would not give me any money back or accept a return; she told me I could hire a lawyer if I wanted to see any of my money. Now Ms. Burke is selling these same countless, crap prints for $35 on her website. My "investment" is not only worthless, but I can't even hang what are essentially thin, Xerox copies on my wall. The true tragedy is that Charles Emery was a fantastic photographer, and this woman has single-handedly devalued his amazing work. Pathetic.
