After a friend suggested it, I liked Paris Grey Cottage's facebook page. I've been seeing the great pictures they post and finally got a chance to check out the shop for myself. It is so cute and cozy inside! They have a good combo of bigger pieces of furniture as well as smaller home decor items. I bought a burlap pillow and an antique salt cellar... And I have my eye on a shabby chic rocker that I hope to buy in the near future. I was out on a Sunday afternoon with nothing else to do, came across this shop and thought I'd stop in. They have some cute things, but the store is very small and cramped, with barely enough room to walk through. There are more items outside on a porch, but again it's kind of hard to move around to get out there and see everything. The young lady working in the shop was too busy talking on her cell phone to acknowledge me until I came to the register with a picture I wanted to buy. At this point, she says "You do know we only take cash or checks, right?" Really? This is 2012, what legitimate business doesn't accept credit cards? I mean seriously.....you can get a Square-Up card reader for FREE and run them right from your phone! I can't tell you the last time I wrote a check, don't even think I have any, and I never carry cash (as many people don't), so this store just lost not only this sale but any future sales they may have made with me. read more

I moved to Queenstown full-time a couple of years ago, and one of my favorite places take my friends from Catonsville is Paris Gray. The store is small and quaint, and filled with the most beautiful items including furniture, decor and fun trinkets. The owners are friendly and pleasant, and the conveniently located shop serves as one of the only Annie Sloan stockists on the Eastern shore. Every time I come in, the boutique has new items so it's a different experience every time. Oh, and I only use my American Express card and it is certainly excepted there. It's sad to see that someone gave the shop a poor review, this place is definitely worth a visit...it's even worth taking a special trip just to see it. Plus, the shop is located in Stevensville, this cute little town has a great restaurant right next door, as well as art and antique shops to browse through. Paris Gray is the anchor for a five star afternoon. read more

I went to Paris grey cottage today to pick up a piece of furniture for a client of mine. And all I have to say about the place is good things. The staff was quite helpful and even offered to help me load the piece of furniture into my trailer though it was raining! I regularly visit antiques and boutiques to do deliveries and this place is a great one and I will have no problem recommending them to customers at my shop. Next time you're in Stevensville I definitely recommend stopping in. They are very easy to access off the highway. And their prices are great. They accept credit cards cash and checks and they even use that program square so you can get a digital receipt. They even had no problem doing a split sale for me meaning half cash half credit. This is definitely one of the places I'm going to stop when I travel all over the Bay Bridge. So next time you're going to Ocean City or just in the area make sure you stop by this boutique. Yeah I have nothing but good things to say about the place. read more
