It turns out that the good stuff is hidden in the store. Case after case of antique diamond and gemstone jewelry! We may need to visit Guilford and Co. every time I'm in town! I was surprised at how large this store is. The pieces are displayed well, grouped by era as well as stone type, as far as I could tell. I also couldn't believe how many Edwardian and Art Deco pieces they had on site. I mostly browsed the gemstone rings, but I'd imagine that this would also be a great place to purchase a piece with dreamy old cut diamonds! They also have a GIA GG on-site who is available to answer more detailed questions. Some standouts -- -a warm L/M round cut diamond in a glowing emerald halo with absolutely GORGEOUS tiny milgrain detail on the bezel -an intricate and HUGE Art Deco diamond brooch/pendant that I didn't dare try on -a high carat yellow gold ring set w/ a rich, dark amethyst cab -a fireball of an orange sapphire set in a halo ring -a blue moonstone ring set in an angular diamond and filigree halo -several Edwardian diamond rings in the central case, including what looked like a three-stone of old (mine?) cut diamonds in a filigree setting -and.... Well, I could go on and on, but I don't imagine anyone is actually still reading this. :) I should also mention that it is a very comfortable, low pressure environment to browse in. The SA was more than happy to dart from case to case, and even suggested different items for me to try on. She was friendly, informed, and very easy to get along with -- No fake nicety or condescension here. I actually told her directly that I'd used up all my "spending points" on jewelry this month, but she just kindly asked what I'd used them on and then continued letting me try on the pretties. Can't wait to make a return visit. I'm already (secretly, shhh) plotting another trip to St. Michaels.

I went in to hand out a poster for the food bank and walked out with these lovely cordials and two small spoons to add to my eclectic kitchen stuff. There is plenty of room to navigate the store. Parking is street parking (don't forget to pay).

Retro throw back, coming of age movie type vibes. We spend a lot of time there because of the vibe as well as just looking through a bunch to find what we could. For plus size I wouldn't say there was a lot but I like accessories and other things so I still found it worth while. Because the clothing is more vintage sizing can be different but anyone who thrifts kinda knows that. I thigh the cashier was nice. Saw some regulars that she was friendly with.

She swiped my card on square, gave no paper receipt, and said it would be emailed. When I got home and looked at my emails there was a charge of $2650.00 on my credit card!!!!! She won't return it, sent me a slew of nasty disgusting messages, and has had her friends harass me online. She needs to pay me back immediately and let me return them. What she did is deplorable. The only thing she shreds is your credit card and her reputation I guess now!!! SNAKE!

Several of the pieces you look at they try and label the timeframe the item is from so that is pretty cool! I am really into their military old school pieces! I was able to find some of the old school navy all white bell bottoms....SUCH A GEM!! They were in pristine condition!!! There is a small clearance section in the back that carries several pieces from the store. Some of the items are damaged and some are in perfect condition but I guess they are just trying to get rid of. I have found plenty of gems there! They have fitting rooms just in case you want to try the clothing on. They have a restroom for customers as well. All in all this is an amazing place to stop by if you are into vintage items!!

I had some good labels that I thought matched their vibe--Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, a 100% linen jacket from Kathleen Sommers, an orange suede jacket, etc. Full disclosure: I may have made the mistake of including one or two pieces with a stain or flaw, which could have led to judgment on the rest of my items and made them seem undesirable. To be fair, maybe what I brought truly wasn't a good fit.
