The quality of the medical care cannot be reproduced. Seven doctors in unrelated practices, all affiliated with Jupiter Medical Center, keep my motor running. I and they can access all medical records, scheduling, and communication in one place. When you visit the hospital as much as I, organization like that is invaluable.

I have been a long time patient there, and I have been ok with them until recently. But I had not…read morebeen in a while, so I made an appointment, and came in with 10 years of my readings from donating blood (blood pressure, cholesterol,...). I also brought a list of medications. I gave them all to the nurse. She was a bit curt and kept going back to the medications. I said that I am not looking for refills. It is also on their records that I am a long-time teacher, and even longer blood donor (which is why I had those print outs). The NP I met with was fine, but did not warn me about drug interactions; I read about those on my own. Later that evening, that same nurse called back and very aggressively started talking about the medications and about refills (her anger and incoherency was astonishing). I could not even tell you how many times I said I do not need refills. Then she accused me of doctor shopping, which also did not make sense. If I am not asking for refills, how am I doctor shopping? Either way, she got me so stressed out, and aggravated, that I was compelled to write a review so that others can make their own decisions. I will be finding a new doctor's office due to this nurse, however.

When the tech came in with my prp blood the doc started to give me the injection I said wait, what about the stem cells, aren't you supposed to mix it in. Mark you the whole time my blood was being prepared by the technician in the lab, the doctor never left my site. Dr. Mackey stated oh, it's in there it was added already. That made me a bit nervous that it was mixed by the technician and not the doctor and the fact that I didn't see the vile the stem cells came in. Well, for the next 3 days my legs from the knees down swole up like a elephant's leg; and I was getting shortness of breath and chest pain for two weeks later. I had to go see my primary care physician about it. As far as I am concerned I paid $7000 for PRP mixed with saline water. I don't believe I got any stem cells with my prp, and if I did the cells weren't viable. Big disappointment because it didn't work and I've been having issues since then. I had it done in Aug and it's now Dec 4 months later and I am in more pain than I was before.
