This was my first visit to Tobacco Lane. The overall experience was Amazing. Charles was so kind. My friends and I came in as novices. Charles was able to ask a few simple questions and we were able to get the cigars we wanted. He also gave us some cigar education 101, which was sooo helpful. I felt like the prices were good. There were some lower priced cigars and some that were more expensive, so it looks to encompasses all. Charles we appreciate your outstanding customer service. Stopped by today for one 'gar, selection was so good I ended up taking 7 items with me. Great professional/friendly service with gentleman upfront and got a punch card for future discounts. Holy Humidor Batman! Visiting from out of town and thought I find a nice cigar to smoke this evening. I ended up buying an entire box of my favorite smoke because the price was much better than my home town cigar shop price. I also grabbed a handful of sticks recommended by Charles. Happen to see a Cigar Store (always on the lookout for one) and Saw Tbacco Lane while visiting the Improv in the Highlands. Great surprize. Mike was so helpful in finding my Tubak Cigar and my N. Padron 2000 Series cigars. Price slightly lower for one and slightly higher for the other but the customer service averaged everything out. Had me wanting to look around. The ease of doing business made me feel like a regular and although this was my first visit, it certainly isn't my last. read more

Quality shop and very helpful staff. I've been in only twice but because I've received great recommendations both times, I'll be back. Opus X, Olivia and many others fill the humidor. Solid cigar selection at all price points. Pretty good selection of cigar cutters, lighters, and humidors as well. Pricing was a concern when I walked in but overall I did not find them to considerably higher than other B&Ms and the knowledge they shared was very helpful to a newbie. read more

Went here to get my first tobacco pipe and was not disappointed at the level of service I received. The gentleman behind the counter was a pipe smoker and told me everything I needed to know to really enjoy my new hobby. He took the time out of his day to explain everything from beginning to end and point me in the right direction on what I wanted and what I did and didn't need. I ended up getting a great deal on an Italian straight pipe, two very nice flavors of tobacco, and all of the essentials without breaking the bank. I only have one gripe, and that is that the pipe had a tag on the stem that was difficult to remove and required the use of Goo-Gone before I could use my pipe, and needless to say smelling Goo-Gone right before smoking my first bowl definitely hindered my palate a bit, but all in all a VERY minor gripe considering the deal I got on the pipe. The tobacco here is definitely on the damp side, so you'll want to let it breathe a bit before lighting up, but I'd much rather that than have it too dry! read more

The staff, the location, the selection, the clean environment, the movement of stock, the quality of everything in this location is top notch. This is the location that USED to be in the Parks Mall but was moved to the Arlington Highlands. A lot of the staff moved with it, and two of them actually bought it out from the original owner and things have only gotten better. Herb and Oscar have made this place an iconic location in Arlington, for me. When i go into Humidors across the DFW area I inevitably see cobwebs or dust buildup SOMEWHERE in the humidor. Spiders love moist and dark places. It happens. I try not to judge too much, but THIS LOCATION HAS NEVER HAD THAT ISSUE THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. These guys clean so frequently and well that it's never a concern for me. Every cigar I have bought, either for a friend or for myself, has been exactly what I expected or better. I make it a habit to buy some of their empty cigar boxes when I leave, as well. They make great, unique gifts for office co-workers and acquaintances. They're reasonably priced, and everyone loves them, even if they haven't the slightest idea what to do with them when they get it. People are creative, that's part of what's cool about giving them as a gift: Seeing what they use it for. I highly recommend this Tobacco Lane over any cigar in town for your first visit on a hunt for new and great products. Check out their pipe selection and accessories, as well. They have an awesome selection and the pricing is spot on for what you want. Also, make sure you ask them what's on Clearance or Discount. Not much in the way of selection priced a little high. You can't smoke at the location . Better options in Arlington for cigars.

This place is great. They have two walk-in humidors, one has lockers that club members can rent for their own stash to keep there. Why keep there? The entire shop is virtually smoke free. Not a no-smoking facility, but the air filtration system is so good you won't leave there smelling of cigars or cigarettes. Upstairs has two huge lounging areas. One has plush leather seating for watching the giant plasma screen TV showing the game. The other lounge has a pool table and occasional poker game. Maybe have a foosball table in there too. Not sure but will update this post when I next go there. read more

I have bought a lot of cigars in boxes for my clients. I have ordered and bought on site for many of those boxess. High end I might add. I recently bought a box of Padrons at $275 a box and paid for them in advance. My wife went to pick them up and their was a big note attached all across the box that said "hold for ____ will pick up when he gets back into town etc. etc." When I got home I wanted to take off the note, I couldn't without tearing the cellophane because of the way it was placed on the box, which was exactly what happened, it tore. Then I saw it, the box was scratched and broken. All covered up by the large note. I called that same night. Over the past week I tried to get the owner or manager to call me back, no dice. Finally went in and an employee offered to order me another box and keep the damaged box and sell them as individuals. An hour later the owner called and said he wasn't going to honor that arrangement. Funny how he finally called me! Bad business, bad attitude and a lost client that spends a lot of money. Have found another place to do business. read more

Poor management and worse customer service Poor customer service. Lied to my son when they sold him a Colibri lighter for my x-mas present last year, telling him it had a lifetime warranty and that if there was any problem with it, it could be returned with the original packaging and receipt. Today I took it in for a replacement, the manager told Colibri was out of business and that they would not have told my son the product had a lifetime warranty. A Google searched showed Colibri is NOT out of business and the product carries a two year warranty. I've contacted Colibri for to remedy the issue. The manager was very rude and not the least bit helpful. I asked for contact information for the owner, which he gave me and I will contact her during business hours at my earliest convenience. This is a good example of how and why brick and mortar stores fail. I've never had a bad experience with an internet vendor when I needed product support. If this Tobacco Lane treats their customers in this manner, they will surely fail. I used this shop for cigar and accessory purchases several times yearly spending an average of $100 or more each visit, never again... I would have given them NO stars, but I was required to give them one. read more

Avid cigar smoker, been there a few times. Decent selection but a bit overpriced. Poor rating is for service (wasn't always that way). Last couple of times there staff ranged from dismissive to outright rude. Final straw for me: Employee rolling his eyes at a lady seeking advice/buying for her man, then getting scolded by same guy for opening end cellophane wrapper of $16 Opus X to check it out as I was walking to counter to purchase (I felt worse for the poor girl than I did for myself!). read more

This is definitely a shop for the inexperienced. Their humidor is right next to the main entrance and both are made of glass, meaning the light from the sun shines in on the cigars and dries them out. The selection is mediocre at best and the prices are too high. The one redeeming quality is their variety in pipe tobacco. read more
