Toastique opened and I was really excited to have an acai bowl shop right in San Pedro especially bc there was a Starbucks there before and I'm not a fan of Starbucks. We went for breakfast on Sunday, and there we actually a good amount of patrons there. Ordering was quick where we got an avocado toast, green smoothie, and acai bowl. The avocado toast had a large whopping of whipped avocado, and the small tomatoes + salt were quite good. Green smoothie was very solid, and acai bowl was to my liking! Overall, we agreed that Toastique was unique and worth coming back!

Great service with very friendly people. I was craving a smoothie on my break and this was the closet place to me. I got there 5 minutes before the place closed and they were nice enough to help me. Got the super fruit smoothie and it was amazing.I know there's tons of sugar from the fruits and apple juice, but the apple juice is cold pressed which is good. Nice clean pace and with really cool decor. I'm coming for sure to try other things on the menu.

Grand opening: samples of their Turmeric juice!

Goodness, I did not think San Jose would really come out to this particular event on a morning where it was literally 35° outside for the grand opening! My foodie friend and I arrived at 7:45 and goodness we were in a huge line at least a block away!! It took us 2 1/2 hours to order our avocado toast and açai bowl with this delicious turmeric juice but goodness! We really wanted to get some of the freebies, but we were customer 115 and 116 in line! Lol Oh well, next time! This particular café was very clean and modern, and I loved the map on the main wall with a mural of San Jose! So cool to see it and figure out exactly where we were! I would love to come here on a Saturday and just people watch and taste all their different juices!! The avocado toast was incredibly fresh and flavorful with a lot of avocado on every single bite!! The juice was perfect for me as well as a açai bowl being very filling!! I can't wait to come back and try the salmon avocado toast! Plus there's a spot down the street, district 10 they have happy hour on oysters! I can't wait to go to that spot again either! Check out my review on that one! They also have a great patio outside area off the main drug with gas lamps outside so you don't get cold!! I really liked how clean and organized everything looked! There was also a DJ out there which I'm curious if they'll have that be a weekend event or just for the grand opening! Still very much a vibe!! I love it!

Great addition to San Pedro Square, especially taking over the old Starbucks location. The smoothies were excellent--the Iced Brew (banana coffee smoothie) was a standout: smooth, not overly sweet, and perfect if you want something that feels like coffee and breakfast in one. The açaí bowl was fresh, well-balanced, and nicely topped without being overly heavy. The kids menu is also a great touch--it's nice to have a quality, kid-friendly café option for hanging out in the neighborhood. The outdoor seating was great for my son and I! Only downsides were the prices, which are definitely on the higher side, and the cashier came across a bit dismissive and unfriendly. I even said thank you oh and she just said uh huh. Still, overall a solid new spot for San Pedro Square.

    Tomato Burrata Toast

Found this place on a whim and totally worth walking in the rain for. First the staff is super friendly and made us feel welcome. I got the tomato burrata toast and my daughter got the pb crunch. Didn't wait long came out within 10 or so minutes. Very fresh ingredients! I like that the ricotta wasn't thickly spread on the toast. Not only was it visually appealing but tasted great. The tomato was nice a firm. The burrata was delicious and creamy. I finished the entire toast and left me wanting to try another one. My daughter liked hers as well and she ate more three quarters which is big for her as she usually only has a few bites when we go out to eat. She did say that it was a lot of toppings (kids take). It's very beautiful decorated, smaller on the seating inside but I see there was outdoor eating area as well. I'm definitely coming back.

Cute aesthetics and presentation, but the food & drinks were just okay. Nothing really special. The staff was friendly and attentive, so that was great. However, I wouldn't be back here since it seems that they focus on presentation more than actual taste. I don't mind spending more on quality items but this was lacking. Ordered the protein waffle, kids grilled cheese, Blue Mystique Bowl, Blue Mystique Smoothie, and iced vanilla latte. The best item was probably the coffee.

    Inside! Such a nice interior!

I came on a Saturday around 11ish after a workout and it was just the perfect post workout meal! The ingredients are just so fresh, I don't feel weighed down or guilty eating anything here. This was my second time coming and I sat outside which was a whole vibe. The outside seating was such a nice area, I can't wait to go back and repeat this outing. Customer service is just so good and friendly. I went back in after sitting outside to make sure they knew we were outside and the staff were already on top of it, knew we were outside & brought us our food when it was ready. The tuna toast is just so good and light and filling all at the same time! Love the protein waffle and had to get that too!

Visited Toastique this past weekend, as Saturday was the grand opening, and they were offering promos and giveaways all day. I took advantage of the first 100 guests receiving $50 in Toastique Reward Dollars. There was already a small line on Santa Clara Street an hour before opening time, which extended more than a block long by 8am. Staff was friendly even before the doors opened, making everyone feel welcome as we stood outside on this cold morning. They also reminded everyone to download the app to get their rewards points. I appreciate their efficiency and efforts to make things run smoothly. There was only one order counter in the cafe. I was probably the 10th customer and reached the front of the line about 15-20 minutes after opening time. Drinks were ready in just a few minutes, and my food items took ten minutes. There were only about 4 tables inside, but the place was clean and cute and offered more seating outside, with patio heaters turned on during winter and a DJ booth in the corner. There was also merchandise for sale, like shirts, totes, and candles, as well as various packaged snacks on display, adding more options beyond their unique and tasty food and drink menu. I ordered an iced mocha with 2% milk, green machine smoothie, avocado smash gourmet toast, and 3-cheese italian with an added poached egg for $2 extra. Everything was delish! The iced mocha was one of the best I've had, smooth and chocolatey. The 3 cheese italian toast was yummy, especially the fresh tasting cheddar jalapeno bread, wow! The green machine smoothie had a nice balance of flavor. And the avocado smash toast was loaded, my bf finished every last bite. We'll definitely be back, not just cuz we're rewards members now with credits to use, but because the setting, service, and product was fantastic.

Dropped by for a weekday brunch, and grabbed seats outdoors. We ordered the Salmon, Avocado, and Steak and cheese Toasts, the presentation was beautiful and so aesthetic and the toasts were all delicious and unique too! I also love the mini charcuterie platters that the toast is served on. We ordered a green juice on the host's recommendation as well, it was super refreshing and fresh, although a bit overpriced for a small juice. Service was as expected, you pick up the food and bring it back. Overall ambience and decor and presentation of the food is brilliant, I would definitely return with my friends for a trendy brunch!

Avo Avocado Smash Toast, Gingerberry Smoothie, Green Machine Smoothie
    Rahul U.

Friendly staff, vibey spot with good ambiance, good options for food but a bit lacking in flavor. Got the avocado smash and then green machine and ginger berry smoothies. Toast was store bought and smashed avocado on there seemed prepackaged (or tasted that way at least). Toppings were fresh and presentation great, but didn't wow as we were hoping. Smoothies with good texture and flavor but just not as robust as they look. Would come back, but perhaps not seek it out.

    Nuran S.

Cute cafe that offers some healthier options in the SJ downtown area. They have some yummy smoothie bowls and all the fresh juices are delicious. The service is great and the staff is well informed on their menu. There is an app as well so you can rack up some credits!

    Adrienne B.

Easy location off Santa Clara st with street parking. Service was quick! Could have used a little more flavor on the avocado toast and maybe some peanut butter on the protein waffles. Lots of outside seating and some inside. Will definitely go back for more juice!

I'd caught a glimpse of this new restaurant while driving by and finally got to check it out. It's a pretty cosy spot with limited seating inside and some seating outside. I got the Avocado Smash Toast which I promptly smashed into my tummy! It was delicious but the portion size is a little small for the $$. The chilli oil was a nice touch tho. I also ordered the Purple Heart Smoothie which took close to 30 minutes to be made and arrived after I'd eaten my meal. It was packed during lunch hour and the staff were very apologetic for the delay. The smoothie was flavorful nonetheless. I will return to try other items from the menu.

They had some Fanime specials for the con (katsu and egg salad sandwiches, spam musubi), seasonal drinks, of course coffees and teas, and non caffeinated drinks, as well as some food too (heated up pastries, both sweet and savory). There's a restroom with a code and a couple seats and tables with outlets to charge your devices. Service was welcoming and efficient especially after the crowds started to pick up. I got the: 1) Egg Salad Sando: -You can tell these were handmade in store. They had cute washi tape to hold the packaging together. -Solid egg salad sandwich. Slightly sweet white bread and generous amount of egg salad inside the sandwich. Creamy mayo taste that isn't too sour or tart, lots of egg in it. Perfect for an anime con next door. 2) Cappuccino: -I got this no sugar and sugar free and it came out with some pretty latte art. I thought it was mostly ok and boyfriend thought so too, but after several sips and when it was too late since we really had to get to the con, it just became too disgustingly sweet for him and he had to throw it away. 3) Yuzu Fresh Fruit Sparkler: -Yuzu puree with sparkling soda water. -Refreshing and not bad, but even after mixing this was a bit sweeter than what I would have liked and again, in our rush to leave, we couldn't really get this adjusted. I ended up pouring most of it in a water bottle to enjoy later and put in my bag. But ended up not finishing it in the end. Maybe next year I'll try again or just stick to the food stuffs.

It took about 20-30 minutes for her to come back and take our food order after we placed our initial drink orders with her. Throughout the dinner, her demeanor felt very passive aggressive, and there were several moments where we felt like we were being given attitude despite everyone in our group being polite. My friend asked for extra olives with his martini and she responded with a rude "Really?" while making a face. It was such an unnecessary reaction to a totally simple and normal request. She also recommended that we order family style, which we followed, but the pacing between courses was extremely slow. We waited around 30+ minutes between our pasta and our protein entrees. For a restaurant that specifically recommends family style dining, the courses should be paced more appropriately so the table isn't sitting around waiting for the next round of food. The birthday cake situation was also frustrating. We had given our cake to the hostess when we arrived, but I guess our server was never notified of that. When I asked about a candle, she said she would bring it out with the birthday dessert, but brought out the restaurant's dessert instead. When she realized we had our own cake, she immediately took the bill back and said she needed to add the cake fee. The issue with that was we weren't asking them to cut or plate the cake. We just wanted to sing Happy Birthday, then have it boxed back up. She had assumed we wanted the cake service without actually asking us, and when we clarified, her response was, "Well, that's why I asked earlier," even though she hadn't actually asked us. None of us gave her a hard time or were anything but polite throughout the evening, which made the repeated attitude especially disappointing. The food wasn't terrible and the drinks were great, the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, but spending around $900, which included a 20% automatic gratuity, you'd expect the service to match the price point, even though service should always be good regardless. Unfortunately, the poor service really overshadowed what was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner for my friend and left all of us with a bad taste in our mouths.

From the thoughtful decor to The Office being projected on the wall. It felt hip, fresh and refined. We decided to craft our own drinks - Arnold Palmers, his favorite. But they only had sparkling lemonade, which actually made it even better. We shared a salad that had some cooked pears and squash alongside the greens, walnuts, cranberries and blue cheese. (4.5/5) Had brunch…read moreat The Table on a beautiful warm Wednesday, and the patio was definitely the highlight. It was the perfect spot to enjoy the fresh air and made for a really relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant has a great vibe overall, especially if you're looking for an outdoor brunch. (Have not been inside) I ordered the steak chilaquiles, and I'd give them a 8.5/10. The flavors were really good, the sauce was delicious, and I liked the addition of the eggs, avocado, and queso. My only complaint was the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well, a bit dry and was tougher than expected, making it difficult to cut. It was still tasty--just not cooked quite the way I was hoping. The mimosas were good too, a great value. Nothing that really stood out as amazing, but definitely nothing bad about them either--they got the job done. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server Rebecca was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly quick throughout the meal. They checked in at the right times, answered our questions confidently, and made us feel well taken care of without ever being overbearing. Overall, I'd come back, especially to sit on the patio again. With a more tender steak, this meal would've easily been an 8.5 or 9 out of 10!! :)

One star, and it's entirely about how the staff handled a serious situation, not the food…read more I was harassed by another patron at the bar -- told to "go back to my own country." That's blatant racism, and it happened while I was a paying customer. Staff did nothing to address it in the moment. Understandably upset and shaken, I had too much to drink afterward. My family came and drove me home safely. Rather than addressing what actually happened -- a customer being racially harassed on their premises -- management's response was to ban me, not the person who harassed me. If a business allows this kind of harassment to go unaddressed and then punishes the target of it for reacting, that's a real problem, not a minor service issue. This is the San Francisco Bay Area. We should expect better than this. Avoid this place if you don't want to find out how they'll treat you when something like this happens to you.
