This was my first time visiting Toast To That, and my aunt was treating me to a birthday brunch. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, assuming it would be more like a traditional flat, pressed Cuban. Instead, it came on thick Texas toast, which I wasn't expecting from the menu description. The thickness also made it difficult for me to eat because of a jaw hinge issue I have. Had I known it was served that way, I probably would have requested a traditional bun. The biggest disappointment, though, were the shoestring fries. They were lukewarm at best when they arrived and quickly became cold and hard. It wasn't just my order--my aunt's fries were the same way. Midway through our meal, after seeing my aunt enjoying her latte, I decided I wanted to try the honey cinnamon latte. Unfortunately, I was told the espresso machine wasn't working, so I wasn't able to order one. It was a little disappointing, especially since this was supposed to be a birthday brunch treat. I also overheard what sounded like a head staff member scolding two of the bus boys about getting tables cleaned. I didn't catch the entire conversation, but it was noticeable and a little uncomfortable to overhear while we were eating. Overall, it wasn't quite the first experience I was hoping for. I wouldn't completely write the place off and would be willing to give it another try, but between the unexpected sandwich preparation, cold fries, unavailable latte, and atmosphere that day, there was definitely room for improvement. read more

I had brunch at this new restaurant last week. The "Toast to That Trio" dish was delicious and plentiful (essentially two meals for the price of one). I especially loved the French toast... thick-cut brioche dipped in vanilla custard, coated in crunchy cornflakes, griddled golden, and dusted with powdered sugar. And the service provided by Deja was excellent! I will definitely be going back. read more

Aesthetically pleasing. Walking in, you feel the elevated designs that are modern and picture worthy. But let's talk food. The BBB thick cut bacon, show stopper. Would absolutely recommend. Sadly that's the high point. Mimosas were fine. Deviled egg flight - not much difference between choices, they were all the same minus a jalapeno on top etc. Toast to that Trio left me sad ... the paper thin bacon that was burnt to a crisp was deafening after having the BBB appetizer bacon..... eggs cooked perfectly ... French toast coated in corn flakes fell short. Flavor wasn't bad but the cornflakes made it almost stale. Jamburger, again, unseasoned meat patty, same paper thin bacon .... Would I be back? Probably not, because I drove an hour to try this place. Would I tell others to give it a go, absolutely.... Support this business at least once and decide for yourself!! And if you do, get that appetizer bacon! Prices are more than fair for the menu options. read more

Totally unexpected gem in Clute! Just walking in you feel the brightness and energy. The menu is pretty extensive with both classics and new takes. Service was attentive and consistent. My husband and I got: classic eggs Benedict, the g.o.a.t (steak and eggs), and two flights of deviled eggs (we weren't going to share well!). I also had a solid Midwest classic Bloody Mary. I had two and there was a bit of variation between them, probably due to two bartenders. There was a bit of delay on the egg flights so we ate appetizers after the main but this was a minor issue for us. Overall very good value for cost. Steak was cooked to order (rare- and was good quality). We will definitely be back! read more

Not a restaurant you expect to be in Lake Jackson. It's borderline impossible to find a great Eggs Benedict around this area but they have it. Service was 10/10 and the mimosa flights are a reason to come back. read more

Things started out slowly, but once they got better, we were impressed. We ordered a flight of Bloody Mary's which the hubby loved except for the one called Bloody Maria. He didn't order that one, so there may have been a mix up. I got the Honey Cinnamon Latte and it was great. Appetizer was a flight of deviled eggs and they were all yummy. He got the 2 egg breakfast and said it was tasty. The breakfast potatoes were hot and crispy. I got the avocado toast and it was good. Nothing that would make me say it was exceptional but the smoked bacon pepper jelly was really good. Chef James stopped by our table 2 times. Once to introduce himself and again after we ate, to find out what we thought about our food. We will definitely go back! read more

Horrible! Late lunch with 6 girlfriends. I ordered the Philly cheese sandwich. According to the menu description, I got none of these promised items: Caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, the sandwich WAS NOT griddled, nor finished with garlic aioli & chives. The parm matchstick fries arrived Luke warm. It was the most tasteless, unsatisfying meal that I've had in years. Another in our party order Mind your Biscuits; promised fluffy biscuits with sausage gravy. Arrived, patron said the biscuits were way over toasted and hard in texture. She said, "these ARE NOT today's biscuits". She complained & they brought her another plate, she said they were NOT today's biscuits & the gravy tasted sour. She didn't eat any more of either plate. Three people had the apple blue cheese salad & enjoyed it, but not the menu offer dressing. Two ladies had classic breakfast & enjoyed it. Y'all have some work to do including more attention to the freshness & the menu detail presented on your menu. I'm not excited to revisit anytime soon. PS, there was NO A/C in the ladies restroom. read more

Amazing service and atmosphere. Chef James came out to talk to us, our server Lex (famous on TikTok btw) was super nice, and the food was to die for. Highly recommend the Lox & Loaded and the Brisket Benedict. read more

Got here at 12:15 Sunday. Wait time "30 minutes" ok that's fair. The inside super nice beautiful decor...didn't get sat til 1:05 there were alot of empty tables. Once we sat down, we immediately ordered because well you can see where this is going. I got the "deviled egg flight" for app and I will say this it was really good! Then we immediately ordered food, my husband got the Philly omelet, my son got pancakes and I got Philly brunch sandwich. 40 minutes late food comes, my sandwich dry no aoili that is supposedly came with, no syrup for the pancakes and there was barely any cheese on the omelet...when I asked for the aioli and syrup here goes about 8 minutes of waiting. By the time we left that place most of our afternoon was gone. I wouldn't go back here if you paid me to, we ended up paying 60$ before tip to waste our entire Sunday on some very mid food. read more

Finally got to try the new brunch spot today, and it was amazing! We went around 12:30/1. There was a decent crowd but we were seated immediately. I ordered a zero proof pineapple ginger cooler that was SO refreshing. We ordered the deviled egg flight as an appetizer and got to choose 5 out of I think 7 different options. They were all so unique and flavorful! I got the classic eggs benedict for my meal, which came with the breakfast potatoes. It was all SO delicious. Our food came out way faster than I expected for a new restaurant still working out the kinks. It definitely doesn't seem like they've been open less than a month; everything runs very smoothly! The chef and owners were walking around greeting everyone, and the chef came to our table four separate times to visit with us and make sure everything was good. I will definitely be back- there are so many things on the menu I want to try! read more
