I visit this location frequently because my job a few businesses down the parking lot. I always order the caramel macchiato with no foam milk. Some days it's soooo good and other days like today and last Saturday it tastes like warmed milk with no other taste to it. This is the only Starbucks within a 30 mile radius. And I like Starbucks, so I go often, probably 3-5 times a week. The baristas are always very nice, and never mess up my order (as someone who usually goes for nonfat and sugar free substitutes, I appreciate this). The coffee is always good and they are consistent. But, don't ever go if you're in a hurry. Sometimes I will mobile order 10 minutes in advance because I know how slow they can be and still have to wait five minutes at the store. I asked the guy who was taking my order does it have foam on it he told me it didn't but he can add it, I told him no I didn't want any. Ok they hand me my drink I immediately knew it was screwed up because of how lite the cup was, open it up right there and there's foam. If you want a better Starbucks, for now, the one at the Kroger store in Clute is a lot better than this one. Like a lot of things Lake Jackson, this Starbucks falls short of others in the Houston area. The folks who are running the place don't have the first clue of what they're doing. It seems to me that a company like Starbucks would better prepare people but they clearly fell short here. Perhaps it's because there isn't a Starbucks around here for 40 miles and they couldn't get someone to drive down here to help for any length of time. Who knows? The place is painfully slow in every aspect of operation. It seems like there's no one there who's ever worked at a coffee place, let alone a Starbucks. I had to send my Frappuccino back twice to have them re-blend it because it wasn't blended enough. I've been going to Starbucks for 15 years. The blenders are programmed to make the drinks perfect every time but they seemed to be operating them manually like you would one at the house, pulsing and stuff. It just seemed weird to me. Usually they just press a button and it comes out perfect. Not here and not on Saturday. The service is okay, but the confusion among the staff is a huge downside. Maybe it will improve with time, but for now it seems like the baristas have been poorly trained. Service is very slow, and the desserts were not good - the cookies tasted old and greasy. My drink was made incorrectly and would have been made even *more* incorrectly if I hadn't been watching them make it. Asked for soy milk since I have an allergy and I caught the barista pouring regular milk into my drink. Luckily I caught him and had him fix it. There was a general lack of communication between the guy taking the orders and the guy making the drinks. My mom ordered a decaf coffee and instead of marking the "decaf" box on the cup, the guy wrote an illegible "D" (that looked more like an O) in the "shots" box. He handed it to the barista and the barista asked "what does this zero mean?" The guy says "it's a D. For decaf". Umm. Why not just mark the box that says "decaf"?? I generally do not patronize Starbucks (only went this time because we had a gift card to use) because I do not appreciate their political leanings or the fact that they give money to support various immoral causes. Not sure why this place has horrible reviews but I can kind of see where everyone is coming from. I drove here all the way from Damon because it's the nearest Starbucks and although it is a little messy inside and there's a few flies buzzing around, it's a pretty nice looking Starbucks and my iced caramel macchiato tastes like it does at just about any other Starbucks. The employees seem a bit short with the customers but otherwise seem hardworking and I experienced no rudeness. However, the wait time for my drink was slightly longer than at other Starbucks' but I was in no rush so I wasn't bothered. I used my app to place a mobile order at 7:29 am. I ordered a Starbucks Doubleshot and a breakfast sandwich. I arrived at the store at 7:36. Standing at the mobile order counter, the barista was just starting my coffee so I knew it would be a few more minutes because it has 5 shots. Apparently, the machine was malfunctioning and it was taking it almost a minute to brew one shot (I've never been a barista so forgive me if my terminology is not correct). Seeing this, I knew it would be almost 5 more minutes to get my coffee...NOPE! He stopped at three shots and topped it off with the breve that I requested. He indicated that they were working on my sandwich which is microwaved for a few minutes...STILL WAITING almost 5 minutes later. I decided to walk over to the side of the store where the sandwiches were heated and she had my sandwich lying there on the counter and indicated it had no name on the label...my coffee has a label and they're printed at the same time. 20 minutes later and I'm walking out of the store with an incorrect coffee and cold sandwich at the hefty cost of $11. Came here 2 different days and both times they made our drinks wrong. Day 1 I ordered an iced vanilla latte and my wife ordered a cold brew with sweet cream...they both tasted the same. Day 2 I ordered an iced Caramel Machiatto and my wife ordered a Caramel Frappaccino. Mine only really had milk in it and my wife's came out a Vanilla Bean Frappaccino. They did remake them for us but both of them were worse than before. The drive through is very slow.
