omelet
Jada B.

I used to go here during highschool, since sickles was so close it was a nice walk after exam days and the perfect spot for brunch with friends. Even though i graduated I still love going here! Mom and I stopped by and got our omelette. The portions are huge so there's plenty to take home! Our waitress was quick to bring us everything which was amazing since we had an appointment afterwards. The atmosphere is always nice and it seems regulars like to hangout as well. If you go you have to try the greek frappe, it's our favorite.

Greek Omelet
Jessica B.

The Greek omelet was really delicious and filling. I got an iced Cuban frappe to drink and it was really tasty. Our waitress was so nice and attentive and made our experience even better. My husband got a special, the strawberry and Brie stuffed French toast and it was amazing. If that happens to be on the menu, order it!

They have the best frappe. I like the Cuban one. The food is really good too. The waitress was a really nice young lady. Not too busy yesterday. We were seated right away. Good food, good service and good prices for what you get.

I've driven past this little breakfast/brunch spot so many times but never stopped in until today - it's tucked away in this plaza, but there's a sign on the main road that isn't easily missed. It's very cute and quaint inside, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and the service was wonderful, our waitress was so lovely and attentive. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy with eggs and hashbrowns - I ate all of it if that tells you anything. I had zero complaints - very tasty. My husband ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich with French toast as the bread, the waitress said this was like a McGriddle, but better, and my husband agreed with her after eating it. We will stop through here again - we really enjoyed it!

Banana foster French toast
Brian D.

Best French toast I've had so far on my journey to find the best French toast in Tampa. I like it more than keke's and the grind's because the texture is more softer and flavor wise it's not even close. The banana foster sauce consists of melted bananas and for those don't don't know cooked bananas release more fragrance. It's freaking amazing and I my new favorite way to get French toast. This is the go to French toast spot until I find another wow experience with another :)

Size of cup of tea smaller, order your tea separately to go, don't order at table, or you will pay the same and get less!

So I am usually always happy with this place, food is good! Always consistent! But the bad now, I purchased tea, but had to leave, because I sat down they gave me small cup because if I ordered it Togo, they would have given me a bigger container! Then when I asked the girls said they were running out of cups, so that was that!

I have wanted to stop by here for a while. Took the day off today, and decided to go. Walked in, greeted immediately, seated and had coffee in front of me quickly. Ordered the chicken fried steak with gravy, eggs, crispy hashbrowns, and white toast. Chicken fried steak... probaly from frozen, but good. Gravy was good. Eggs were perfect, hashbrowns were crispy and tasty (seemed like avery small portion though), and the toast? MEH! As mention in other reviews... just plain old bread, barely toasted, seemed like only one of the two slices was actually buttered. Food was good (average for this kind of place), Service was very good... Should have done pics... but just wanted to eat and leave (see below) My main complaint is that Toast is right next to a hookah bar, and they must have some shared airspace. Probably the area above the ceiling tiles. It smelled like an ashtray in here.

Hash browns

I stopped here just to try the Bananas Foster Crepes and I'm so glad I did. The ambiance was a typical family owned type breakfast and brunch place. Plenty of seating. There were plenty of options on the menu. I chose hash browns on the side instead of a muffin. I finished all of my meal, and decided to try the iced Greek frappe which was so flavorful! I took it to go and left a nice tip for the great service! I would try this place again for sure. There's more on the menu I'd like to try.

Banana Foster French toast.

I can't speak about anything on this menu but the banana fosters French toast. No syrup needed! It was amazing! It sat in a pool of sweet, butter sauce. One of my top breakfasts ever. I can't wait to go back.

What a cute spot! I am here on a little vacation and was looking for a place to grab breakfast, SO GLAD I picked Toast! The food was amazing, I got a French Toast Sandwich (savory) and some Belgium waffles (sweet) and both were really good. Their home fries are also a hit. Not only was the food great but the service was probably some of the best service I've ever had. Jamie was my server and she was so attentive and helpful. She also gave me a great drink suggestion, I ended up loving! It was an iced Cuban, I've never had anything like it! So good. Will probably be back for the duration of our stay!

My first experience was probably a year and a half ago, it wasn't terribly busy, just a happy hour timeframe, had a cocktail or 2 and some apps, shared. I wasn't terribly impressed, it seemed fine, although pretty pricey. But did enjoy the ambiance, it was slightly elevated. I thought I'd come back and give it another shot. My next visit for lunch was nice, the food was good and service was adequate. Nothing special. My last visit, which was just a couple weeks ago. We were seated at a strange table with the end of the table sharing some odd booth-like chairs that didn't seem to be a part of the same group. But we were. The music was ridiculously loud and we were unable to hear one another. Just speaking to the person directly next to me and across from me was all I could speak to and we all had to yell over the music. It seemed to get louder at some point, even, which was ridiculous. I ordered a mocktail. It was pretty good. I ordered a steak - requested "medium ++, not medium well, but above medium". I received a medium RARE steak, at best. They had to put it back on the grill to make it basically medium well. At $62 for an a la carte steak - and this is not a steakhouse - this is unacceptable. At least they remade the separate side I ordered so it would be hot with the re-cooked steak. The service was fine, it wasn't exceptional, the ambiance was still the same - yet this last time was an attempt to appear trendy with the 30-somethings. Well overpriced, the food isn't spectacular even to justify the price, although the presentation was lovely. Too loud (yeah, call me old)... But when you want to talk with your friends, this is not the place. I learned after the fact that the upstairs which has another bar and also a decent amount of dining space, has a DJ spinning beats which is fed through the sound system downstairs, the music downstairs was louder than upstairs. That's just weird. Apparently just not my scene.

Usually when you go to a restaurant with a HUGE menu, you kind of expect everything to be good but nothing to be really great. That's what makes Yard House different. Every meal I've had here has been fresh, flavorful, and genuinely delicious. We had the Korean Beef Cheesesteak, and that thing was SO flavorful and absolutely packed with meat. My husband loves cheesesteaks and said it's one of the best non-Philly cheesesteaks he's had! The fries were great too. I had the Garlic Beef Noodles, and OMG. So good! They're not super spicy at first, but the spice definitely creeps up on you after a few bites. Be prepared for the runny nose! The beef was incredibly flavorful, and everything together with the noodles and veggies was just chef's kiss. My son had the pizza and loved it. He said the dough was crispy on the outside but still soft, with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. And yes, I stole a bite--it was good! We also tried the Hibiscus Mule mocktails. They were refreshing and tasted good, although they were a little heavy-handed with the ginger beer for us. Still enjoyable, just very gingery. Overall, this place continues to be a win for us. Great service, great food, tons of options, and we've yet to have a bad meal here. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Tampa. It's with how their manager, Anthony, handled the situation. Instead of showing empathy, apologizing, or making us feel like valued customers, Anthony spoke to my wife in a condescending, disrespectful, argumentative and unprofessional manner. No customer should ever be talked down to or belittled. A manager sets the tone for the entire restaurant. Anthony's behavior turned our evening into an unacceptable dining experience. Because of him, and him alone, we will never come back. I hope management take this review seriously. Food can always be corrected, but the way customers are treated is what determines whether they'll ever return.
