I ate at To be Thai on a whim on night when a couple of friends and I decided to go out for dinner, not knowing where to go, we walked past this place and thought we would check this place out as it seemed pretty and they had no customers that night. Overall, I left the place satisfied with my meal but I do not have the urge to come back here any time soon.
I remember not being very hungry the night I came here, therefore I asked the waitress if it would be possible to have a soup that was only offered as an entree, as a main meal. She was very polite and informed me that would not be a problem. From memory, this is a moderately priced Thai restaurant, the prices reflect what I can only imagine would be expensive rent in the trendy suburb of New Farm.
My soup was pleasant, the flavours were there but there was nothing that made it stand out. I tried a few of my friends' dishes and felt the same way about their meals to. It was not the sort of restaurant that you could not stop thinking about the next day because of how amazing it was.
