Phuc Deli Viet is a takeaway restaurant that works in association with the Indooroopilly Pig 'n' Whistle. Phuc Deli Viet offers a range of reasonably Vietnamese dishes that will be sure to get your mouth watering. Phuc Deli Viet is like a special treat for myself. As the meals average around $15, sometimes I treat myself there on my lunch break or after a big night out. The food itself is consistently delicious, so long as you order something that you know you'll enjoy. Today I took a risk on some sort of noodle meatball concoction that honestly turned out to be a bit of a let down. With this in mind, the rice and curry dishes I've had here before were absolutely sensational. I was slightly frustrated by the cashier who was reluctant to tell me what the most popular dish was or what she particularly enjoys. I suppose she didn't want to give me a bias answer, but just take the risk! The serving sizes are pretty huge and will keep even the most ravenous diner full for at least a couple of hours. I particularly appreciate the side of salad that comes with most meals. I always enjoy incidentally eating healthy before inevitably returning to my grease soaked diet. All in all, Phuc Deli Viet is definitely worth a look if you're tired of food court food. This being said, this type of dining comes at a slightly more expensive price, but it's really worth it - especially if one is in the mood. But as a side not, stay away from the noodle meatball thing.

While not as cheap as the other food court options (with soups and salads around $15 and 3 rice-paper rolls $9.80) Phuc does freshly made meals with a quick turnaround. Apart from the Pho my favourites are there salads - vermicelli rice noodles and mixed veges topped with grilled chicken, lemongrass beef or king prawns with a zesty Vietnamese dressing. The soups come with fresh beansprouts, chilli, lemon and basil which you add to your own tastes. They also sell traditional Asian jelly drinks if you're feeling adventurous.

For food court food, Phuc Deli Viet, is certainly at a league above the rest. Unlike its other food court buddies, this place serves delicious and authentic style food. It is restaurant quality and food court food at it's best. Food here is really good! It is easy to go on about it and describe every dish I've had. There is one particular dish they do here which I believe is one of the best I've had comparatively. Surprisingly, it is the Laksa! Although laksa is traditionally a Malaysian cuisine, the style in which Phuc Deli Viet make it, is akin to none. Their laksa's have a great balance between spice and creaminess, unlike other places who shy away from too much spice and make it far too creamy. Ick. I like the laksa here so much, that I've made an event of going there as often as I could. It is also good to note it is conveniently located just below the cinemas. Before, I used to decide on movies first before coming here, but now, I choose to eat here first, then decide on movies as an added bonus. It may sound a bit over the top- but it's true. I'd drive to this food court, just to enjoy the great food at Phuc Deli Viet.

$16) but I would also say it's around 40x better tasting than anything else in the food court too, so well worth it.

I've eaten outside twice and even just sitting in the area eating the food takes me away like I'm on holiday. You're surrounded by greenery and ugh the decor is very LA/Balinese vibes - it's really pretty. They make great drinks both smoothies& mocktails at breakfast time ;). They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, & coffee and cakes from Jocelyn's Provisions ! Biggest yass ever because JP cakes are so yum. Table service and wait staff are good - they do get very busy though especially on weekends I have noticed. I have never noticed irritability or rudeness at all, despite how busy they get the staff always appear professional and calm. It is more $$ but the food and drinks is 5/5 quality. Street Parking is available both on the main road and just in the side streets - it's a short walk to score free parking. I already know this is one of my go to places for brunch with my friends if I feel like having a fancy brunch ohohoho!

This place has a great layout but it's managed as two different areas. The bar area does not have any service and you have to walk up and the restaurant lacks ambience. Those claims are not completely false but this place deserves a little bit more credit. I came here for a birthday party and found the place great for the that sort of gathering. Ok, so onto the evening of my friend's birthday party; the room was spacious, there was wait staff at hand, plenty of finger food, and we got out own bar. For a party of 200 or so people (lots of family friends), this was perfect. I did not find the place to be very clean and the wait staff to be presentable. I guess people just like to bitch about suburban pubs because staying in your suburb is just not "cool". And even though I would never call this place "cool", there is not reason why you should not consider this place for your next birthday or function.

The cafe itself is amongst the Hillsdon Road Centre of businesses and is at the back of the convenience store. There's three or four small tables (ideal for parties of one or two) and a small communal table (maybe for 6) within the cafe and outdoor seating in the courtyard. On a sunny day, or even on the grey day today, it's great to sit outside and soak up the leafy surrounds. The menu isn't fussy. It takes up one A5 sheet of paper and I opted for the baked eggs but you might prefer the avocado on sourdough toast with their homemade almond butter or the savoury mince. My baked eggs are served with leek and capsicum jam and tarragon which, when baked, gives the eggs this wonderfully subtle taste of licorice/ aniseed. I order one flat white and one ice latte during the course of my time waking up amongst the cafe with locals popping in and out for the mornings hits. What the most pleasant surprise of all is the total I paid for breakfast. $15.50 for baked eggs and two coffees. And this isn't some slap-dash-side-of-the-road-truck-stop-inspired-big-breakfast. No, it's thoughtful. It's a quality production and I'm not sure I want to tell anyone about it for fear of it becoming too popular!

Yet here I sat in The Single Guys, conversations echoing from each corner of the cafe that was full of people enjoying coffees and ordering from a wholesome menu with choices like a blueberry bagel with vanilla ricotta and honey, or swiss brown mushrooms, fetta, asparagus with fig vincotto on sourdough. Staff did a beautiful dance from table to table in their unofficial uniforms of a white tee, jeans and black cons. All complimented by their dark grey aprons against the navy and white walls of this unassuming but ready to be recognised cafe. From Moggill Road you might miss it so keep an eye out for their mascot, a lone deer on a sign. One of the owners tell me the stag is a play on the image being a symbol of bachelor life, although their name is more of an ode to their house blend being a combination of single origin beans. Despite the clean and hipsterific interior, the crowd here is mixed: young and old alike. It's a great hub of activity. I ordered the mushroom toastie which was the perfect breakfast or light lunch, and on a hot Summers day their Iced V60 black coffee was the deliciously mellow drink I needed to befriend on a day like today. And the flat white was perfection in a white china cup.
