I would give this place 3 1/2 stars. I originally wanted to go see Tanya since all the good reviews mentioned her name. Unfortunately, the days that she works did not fit into my schedule so I made an appointment with Rachel instead. Rachel seemed nice and answered the questions that I had, although she did seem a little annoyed while answering them (made me feel hesitent about asking questions). When I came in, she was working on another client and it was quiet the whole time. I had an appointment at 2:30 and she got to me right on time, not a minute late not a minute early. Rachel doesn't really communicate and make small talk unless you ask/talk to her first. Not what I prefer but it is understandable since she could be trying to concentrate. I found this place through Groupon, and it was my first time getting eyelash extensions so I just went with the Natural Synthetic Lashes to see how it was. This package is 40 lashes per eye, and I paid $35 with the groupon (I included a picture with all the original prices as well). I planned to tip $10 if I really liked my lashes, but with the way they came out I gave $7 instead, which is 20%. Overall look: My lashes look really nice when I look down!! They look very natural, which is good, but when I open my eyes you CANNOT notice a diference at all. +When my eyes are open, the lashes don't look completely even. When I get a fill, I will most likely get the 60 lash fill instead of 40 so they look fuller. My lashes overall look good, I just wish you can see them when my eyes are actually open. read more

I knew exactly what to expect when coming to get my eyebrows tattooed. I had read all of the reviews here on Yelp, viewed the before and after photos, and had spoken to a few friends who have had this done somewhere else. Tanya is every bit as amazing as all of these reviews speak to. She was professional, kind, funny and made sure that I was comfortable and knew everything that was going on. She walked me through the whole process, and we drew out the shape for my brows together and fine tuned everything until it was perfect. I had my brows done on Halloween and I was a little concerned about possible pain and swelling after the procedure. There was little to no pain at all, and the worst part of it was just feeling like I needed to sneeze. There was no swelling after, and you couldn't even tell I had just gotten a tattoo. My first time getting lash extensions. Rachel was amazing, explained the process and recommended a set of lashes for my specific purpose. I was concerned about my eyelids feeling heavy and thereby looking funny trying to blink my eyes (remembering a Halloween from many years ago with the strip lashes). They are not even a quarter of the weight, I don't even feel like i have anything there! They look natural and I will not have to wear as much make up. The prices are lower than what I've seen and honored the Groupon price. They have a great membership, which if you go frequently will end up saving you a grip. The location is easy to find and there was plenty of parking, which for those of us that drive big trucks, is a huge deal. The place was clean and bright, very relaxing. They did hybrid lashes. Looked very natural and not overly too noticeable as I walked out the door. On one eye, they all came off within a week. It looked ridiculous to have lashes on one eye and not the other. Naturally I called to have the lashes replaced. I assumed they had a lifespan of up to 2-4 weeks--per their recommendation of fills bimonthly. She said that I was out of luck and she can't help me but if I want to schedule a fill, she would do that. I reiterated to her that I was completely eyelash bare in less than 7 days on one eye and posited that certainly that was an aberration of service and/or product. She said it was not an aberration. I wouldn't recommend. I found another place. She guaranteed her lashes for 7 days. Recommended fills were still 2-4 weeks. It's important to me that they last at least a week. read more

Not satisfied... Came here because of a Groupon deal. Tanya was the only one there. I told her that it is my first time getting eyelash extensions, and asked her to tell me the procedure, show me the lashes, if it'll hurt, etc. I just wanted to be informed, and she didn't really give me much. She seemed pretty rushed and told me it's because of the Groupons, but she was nice about it still. What weirded me out was when I asked her to show me the lashes, she picked one up from a white cloth and started telling me the sizes... like I would know.... It was weird because the lashes were just... there. On the cloth. Not in a box stored away by size. They were everywhere, and it looked a little unprofessional to me. They were just scrambled there on the cloth, as if someone sprinkled it. But eh, it's a Groupon. I then asked her to show me pictures, because I'm not sure if I should upgrade or not. Right when she heard that I wanted an Upgrade, she showed me pics and told me that the girl in the picture had the 50 lashes per eye deal, and since I'm asian, I figured, why not? (The Groupon deal was for only 35 lashes per eye). She told me it will cost 30 dollars extra, and I didn't mind since that's what I expected. A word of caution: - When you're taping someone's bottom lashes, BE GENTLE! Her nail scratched my eye, and the tape or whatever she used was shoved up into my tearduct. Painful? Yes. I asked her to adjust it, and after three tries, she finally put it in a somewhat better position than before. - For some reason, my right eye was in a lot of pain (aka crying) and I could tell she didn't want to deal with it because she moved on to my next eye very quickly. Instead of taping my poor bottom lashes down like she did to my previous eye, she used this gel tape which was a LOT better (and made me wonder why she didn't use it before...), so props to that. - Onto my left eye... Uh, lady, I know I said I wanted an upgrade, but if you're going to put more lashes onto my left eye and barely any on my right, please tell me, because it is quite noticeable(I got the Glamour set too)... If she didn't want to deal with my right eye, at least make my left eye not as horrendously crazy and tell me to not upgrade. At the time, I didn't notice because my eyes were in so much pain and I could barely open them, so I just paid and left and didn't notice until the following night. Not a great experience. A friend was looking to get eyelash extension prior to her wedding, after doing a little searching on some discount sites for her I happened to come across a Groupon deal, she had a great experience and highly recommended this place because she said Tanya had done a great job, took her time, and her lashes looked very natural. What I was most interested in was because she said that Tanya had dyed her eyelashes before hand which being a fair skinned redhead I have very light lashes, I decided why not give it a try. Then when I called to book my appointment I was quoted $20 for the service, i was bummed because Tanya was unavailable so I got the next person who was Brooklyn, when i came in she only prepped and dyed my top eyelashes which at that point I thought was kind of odd because i figured top and bottom were included so I asked "are you going to do my bottom ones too?" Her reply was "that's an extra $5" so I decided to opt out of it just because I wanted to test out just the top for the time being to see if I even liked it and thought it was worth doing. Once I saw my friend again and told her about what happened she was confused because according to what she was told both top and bottom are included in the price so she called Tanya to tell her what happened which she was a little shocked herself because both are included in the price and was unsure as to why Brooklyn would have not done both and tried to charge extra for the bottom lashes separately. Tanya then called me and said to come down and she would redo them and do both top and bottom. I have nothing but good things to say about Tanya, she does do a great job and is very professional but due to one particular person on her staff.... yeah not so much. I bought a groupon for this place a month or so ago and decided to you it the other day. I bought the most expensive eyelash extensions. I think it was the diva set. It was 70-80 eyelashes per eye. It was $99 for a $225 service. The whole process took about a hour and half. For being diva lashes I think they look pretty natural. I thought one eye looked fuller than the other so i called them and they were really nice about it and told me to come back and they will add more to the other eye. The only thing is that I've only them on for like 3 days and they are already starting to fall off. I've had about 10 fall off already. I have got eyelash extensions before and they didn't fall off this fast. I'm extremely careful with the eyelashes so I'm surprised this is happening. I've been tossing around the idea of getting my eyebrows permanently done. While doing research I came across a Groupon for TNN. I looked at the website and was satisfied with the portfolio. To my understanding only Tanya does eyebrows which is fine with me because she did a great job. Redeemed my Groupon for permanent eyebrows, I'm SO excited! No more wiping off my face when I get sweaty at the gym, no more having to reapply them in the mornings everyday... Yes, I was extremely picky and detailed, but these things are permanent, so if you AREN'T overly picky, you probably do not care that much about yourself! It's a clean little spot, but the street parking kind of sucks--don't part on the westside curb as you will get a ticket. Leo set up my appt about a month ago, he's awesome. They're a really great couple to work with =) Sat down in the chair (Tanya's the only one one does the permanent makeup there), she evaluated my brows, told me what she wanted to do and why, and also recommended a color. Her color recommendation was actually close, if not exactly what I use on a daily basis. I appreciated that she tried to stay close to the shape that I already had and liked, and made good adjustments. Told her my biggest concerns (looking too artificial, color matching, darkness, and how it looks after time). She uses a hairstroke technique, not an outline and fill-in method like a coloring book! She also informed me that it will be darker the first week, then fade about 30%, which is good. She'll draw in your brows so that you can see what it may look like, fix as needed, then apply some topical anethesthetic. New needles are used each time, per patron (which is VERY important). I definitely thank her for her patience, and expertise. My brows are naturally very coarse and dark anyhow, so even right after, they didn't look that artificial, which I was really excited about. I didn't even get that red from the procedure, which I was also concerned about, thinking I might not be able to go out later this evening. Another big concern was PAIN--I guess my tolerance is pretty high. It actually hurt more for her to tweeze my brows after. Also got a little wax after, for cleanup. Like any other tattoo, you have to keep the skin moist until it scabs over, so expect to put Vaseline/Neosporin on it for about 4-5 days. All that took only 1:30-1:45 ish. Not too shabby, as it'll save so much more over the next 2-3 years (how long she anticipates it will last). You just have to get touch ups and maintain. Can I give 10 stars? Well, I would if I could. First, the 1 star reviewer referred to a Michelle who no longer works there, that shows how seriously Tanya pays attention to reviews and her concern for her clients. I can to her after one of the most painful experiences of my life, no exaggeration ( see Luscious Lashes La Paz) now I was so unbelievably afraid to try again, but as my eyelashes Wed cut by a faulty eyelash curler (don't have to deal with that anymore) I needed lashes, I felt ugly without them as I usually have full long though straight lashes. The salon is nice, though other than lashes not busy (which demonstrates Tanya's focus) and I like not having to listen to lots of people and feeling rushed. Tanya welcomed me with a very comfy lounge chair perfectly ergonomic and a rally lovely coz fur blanket. I mean this made me feel better, but after Tanya placed the gel pads on my eyes and taped, ever so gently I was getting very relaxed and realized after a few minutes that she was already adding lashes. She was so gentle and worked so quietly (as I told her of my experience I think she took great care to help me relax). At the end (and by the time I was deeply relaxed and almost asleep) she said "All done" and offered me a mirror. The lashes looked great and best of all I couldn't feel them at all isn't that what lashes are supposed to feel like? The appointment took one hour and again this demonstrates Tanya desire to do the best job possible and not rush. I have gone back again for a full set after the first were fully out 31/2 weeks later! I should have had fills but was sick and was staying in. Though Tanya still gave me a great rate as a returning client. She even has a frequent client card with great rewards. She is in it to build long term relationships with her clients. Though she offers a Groupon she wants to please each person and here's why I think she offers Groupons also, she donates all of her tips to her daughter's fund raising efforts where UCSD med students ( including her daughter) offer children of cancer patients a fully paid 1 week camp where counselors talk with kids about the disease, the treatments and most importantly the changes in the parent. The effort is remarkable, so please remember to tip for the full $125 which at 20% would be $20 that goes directly to the program. Tanya is a caring professional. LOOOOVVVVVVVVE TANYA! I went in for my pre-trial wedding makeup, and she was awesome. I felt like a porcelain doll after she was done. She was attentive, helpful and very professional! I've been worried that it might be over the top, but she was really good with what looks on camera and what doesn't! Also, I got my eyelash extensions done. Mind you, I'm a prior victim to blotch eyelash extensions (had it done twice, and both times, they hurt so bad after that I have to get it taken off right away, eyes teary and red!), so I was a little skeptical about her. The reason why I decided to give it a go was because my best friend has had extensions done by her for three or more years, and they look so natural and awesome and she doesn't feel them at all! So I had half a set done for 150 bucks (but I think she's having a promotion now where you get a discount for it!), and it was really nice. I don't feel it at all, it doesn't cloud or cover my eyes like the previous two, and since she attaches the lashes one by one, it looks really natural like it's your own lashes! When you feel it, it just feels like real human hair with mascara on. It doesn't prick, and the ends of it is thinned out just like real lashes. Best decision ever. read more

Purchased a deal on groupon and redeemed it today! The shop itself is really nice and in a great location. It's cozy but not crowded. I was helped by Tanya and she was great, she gave me all the information and made me feel extremely relaxed through the whole process. I purchased the natural and when she finished I loved it but I love the fuller look so I upgraded to glamour which Amanda did. She too was just as easy going and took her time. It is worth the money to go to a shop that specialized in eyelash extension and not just a local nail shop , which I did a few times and each time regretted it.
