Roadrunner Towing was called out and when they got to the home where the car was being dropped off at, the tow truck driver charged them $395 in cash. My daughter and two others tried to use their cards, but they were told the system was down for cards. Seems VERY suspect. Then I call today and was quoted $120 for a tow 1 mile or less. I told the lady that my kids were charged $395 in cash last night and then she said "oh yeah, that's the price if police make the call." I bet! That's totally BS and she knows it. If anything the police would have a better rate, not a more expensive one. I know what the driver did and she does too. He took advantage of a situation, demanded cash and now is hiding behind "policy". I'm a small business owner and know how to treat a customer, and Roadrunner Towing in Yucaipa should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to kids. I certainly will not ever give business to shady companies like this.

I had a particularly troubling experience with the towing service. Despite having a tracker on my car, I was charged for over an hour of towing even though it was only 10 miles away. To make matters worse, they only accepted cash,( scammer alert) which added an unnecessary complication to the situation. I ended up paying a staggering $740, which felt excessively inflated. Additionally, I was informed that I would be charged $160 to pick up my car on a weekend. When I arrived to do so, the staff's attitude was less than accommodating, and I felt unwelcome despite having paid for the service. Filing complains with the dmv and Local Consumer Protection Office and the BBB this business is scamming people when they're vulnerable!

It disappears again. 6 weeks later I find motorhome in a lot on Lincoln ave in banning. Looks like Clark's towing . Nope Statewide shares yard with Clark's No sign . I new right then this was a scam. So motorhome impounded by sheriffs 3 days after I asked for recovery. I called on a Monday. I have as told fees were 6500. And it had to be licenced 5 years. So 15000. To get it out. I said did you know its stolen .? No!!!she said its ours tomorrow. But I will hive you a week to come up with $.....that told me something wrong. On a stolen vehicle there is a separate protocol. Not a 45 day lien . so to be continued. Definetly do not trust these people. They don't even have a sign on Banning tow yard and it took 15 min of out of service on phone numbers....
