I worked on a landscape inspired by the hills of Taos, and what really stood out wasn't just the painting itself--it was how the whole evening felt. Laura and Mickey are wonderful teachers. They guide you step by step in a way that's clear and supportive, but never rigid. There's a real encouragement to follow your own vision, to experiment, and to not take it all too seriously. It creates this relaxed, creative energy where you can actually enjoy the process instead of worrying about getting it "right." The whole space feels warm and welcoming, and it's easy to settle in and just paint. By the end of the night, I felt both proud of what I made and inspired to keep going. I also rented studio space to do hand building while living in Santa Fe for the month of June. The studio is beautiful, with excellent lighting and very good equipment. Big tables, lots of shelf space. The sign up schedule is easy to understand and the hours available are generous and a reasonable price. Theo was easy to work with, answered questions quickly and was so accommodating. I've worked in many clay studios and besides how well it is is equipped, there is always a vibe, an energy. The energy that Theo has created here is creative, generous, gracious and warm and it attracts clay artists who fit that description perfectly. Loved every minute I spent there, eager to return.

She's super knowledgeable and helpful during our classes, and adapts the class to our projects. The space is quite big, and has a very nice atmosphere. You can bring food/drinks while you're in the studio, and you can even get some snacks/drinks while you're there. Dogs also roam the studio while their owners are working. Paseo donates a ton of money to local charities which is so sweet. They're a non-profit and you can "vote" on where you want the money to go. I'll probably take another class here. So fun!

We spent 2 hours in the morning at Prairie Dog Glass and it was everyone's favorite part of Santa Fe, even over Meowolf. Just so fun to be hands on and the people are super cool. The glass pieces came out beautifully and are a super fun reminder now of our time together. I know a big group like ours is probably hard but the PDG folks made it work and were really cool. I even misunderstood the time and showed up 45 minutes late (!) and they still worked with us and moved things around so we could have the full 2 hours which was the perfect amount!
