Creativity reigns supreme with Robbi & Santa Fe Art Classes! I wanted to create a special experience for my sister on her 40th birthday - and little did I know what amazing experience awaited us. After a little online research for painting classes - I came upon Santa Fe Art Classes and Robbi Firestone. We had a really tight schedule and Robbi's regular classes didn't fit into our schedule, so she went out of her way to book a private class for our little group of three! Robbi was incredibly thoughtful throughout the booking process - and seemed just as excited as I was to create this experience for my sister. Robbi's studio is close enough to the plaza that we decided to walk. When we met her we knew we were in great hands, Robbi was warm, inviting and full of energy and her space is colorful, comfortable and light filled. Robbi had suggested we bring whatever snacks/drinks we wanted to enjoy - so we brought mimosas and kicked off the session with a fun toast to the birthday girl! During the actual painting class Robbi was an incredible guide - patient and curious. She created a relaxed and fun environment where even a novice could feel like Picasso - and an intermediate could pick up a few techniques. It's an art "experience" - really a self-directed exploration into your own creativity...which I think is a rare and wonderful way to spend your time. Even now, all three of us consider our session with Robbi as one of the most memorable experiences we had in Santa Fe. And, Santa Fe is pretty special. For our family of four including my husband, college age daughter and high school son, the Paint Moment Workshop at Santa Fe Art Classes was a highlight of our trip to Santa Fe. Robbie Firestone offers a range of classes in her Art Sanctuary Studio. While my daughter is jewelry and metal smith artist, none of us had painting experience. Robbie 's attention to detail for your experience is evident when you enter her teaching studio with relaxing music playing, the tools set up for painting and her warm welcome. You are also welcome to bring wine and snacks. She is truly passionate to help you unlock and trust in your creative abilities. She makes the painting process very accessible and engaging to novices, and is very patient. She also gave us a quick tour of her studio about request. Robbie is an impressive artist and does many commissioned works. I highly recommended this activity to engage in the artistic process and go beyond being an observer. My husband and I have attended two Paint Moment Classes with Robbi and they have both been fabulous and fun! Robbi is a wonderful talented artist and teacher. Being the sneaky person I can be, I wanted to include a macho male whom I was concerned might be put off by an experience like this. Visiting family though, I hoped by keeping it secret, he would just fall into it with grace, which he thoroughly did! He came to me several times later just to exclaim that this was the very best experience he's had in his life! I was very relieved and thrilled to hear it! The magic of doing something with the family surely played a part, as well as finding the artist inside him, and Robbi Firestone the catalyst that put him at ease! One of a kind experience!! My mom and I live in Santa Fe and decided to try out painting. We signed up for a 2 hour group class at Santa Fe Art Classes and had a blast. My mom and I ended up being the only two people at the class, so Robbi asked us if there was anything in particular that we wanted to learn how to paint. We told her we had just gotten back from Santorini and loved donkeys. So Robbi taught us how to paint a donkey with a Santorini background in two hours! Robbi is gifted at teaching people how to paint! It was super easy and fun! We highly recommend learning how to paint at Santa Fe Art Classes. Class is suitable for any level of painter. My friend Nadine & I took a road trip from Colorado to Santa Fe, NM for a 4 day weekend. We signed up for the class before we came & HAD A BLAST! I have always found painting of any form to be relaxing! I had never done a painting class before & I'm SO happy this was my st experience! It was just my friend & I with Robbie for the class & she was awesome! We got to pick what we wanted to paint, while she walked us through the whole time. It was perfect, she guided our way, but we got to pick what colors we wanted to use! I can't say enough great things about Robbie, she was supportive & we loved hearing her story! If you are in Santa Fe, you *MUST* make time (2 hours) to take Robbi's art class. She is a wonderful instructor! She will guide you through the process with encouragement and creativity. It was our first time to try a painting class, and I'm afraid I'm spoiled now. No other class will dare reach the expectations set here. Robbi is delightful, the studio is quaint and comfortable, and most of all, we left feeling happy, having discovered we have some artistic abilities. Her studio is adorable and filled with her work, which shows how much she truly loves connecting with people. Go see for yourself! I signed my husband and myself up for a 2 hour painting class with Robbi while we were visiting Santa Fe. It was not only a fun way to spend to hours being creative but I found it to be very spiritual as well. Robbi is a wonderful teacher, nonjudgmental (even if our paintings looked like we were in elementary school) and really nice to talk with. I highly recommend taking a class from her. Robbi creates a safe, engaging, delightful environment to explore color and techniques of painting a painting. Robbi has a beautiful skill of tailoring the art activity to meet the needs of those in the class. Love my painting, but have to say I loved the experience of doing the painting even more.
