Great experience - a must do in Santa Fe…read more Here's a review for Prairie Dog Glass in Santa Fe: I recently had the pleasure of visiting Prairie Dog Glass in Santa Fe, and I can't recommend it enough! The glass-blowing experience was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. They guided us through the process, making it both fun and educational. The facility itself is inspiring, filled with beautiful pieces of art created by talented artisans. I was amazed by the variety of colors and techniques used in the glass-blowing process. The hands-on experience allowed us to create our own unique pieces, which was a thrill! Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, the instructors were patient and supportive, ensuring everyone felt comfortable. It's a fantastic way to spend an afternoon, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! If you're in Santa Fe, make sure to stop by Prairie Dog Glass for an unforgettable experience!

I love this kind of thing, and even my husband (who generally doesn't gravitate towards artistic hobbies) had a fantastic time! Loved it!

The class size was just right, enough people to make it fun and social, but still small enough that everyone got involved. Chef Mica kicked things off by giving us an overview of the history of the area, its chile traditions, and the differences between the peppers we'd be working with and seeing around the city. That context added so much depth to the cooking, it wasn't just a class, it was a cultural experience. Each of us prepared a different type of relleno, and then at the end we all sat down and shared the full spread together buffet style. It was such a fun way to learn, connect, and taste a variety of chiles without spending hours cooking everything on your own. It was well organized, engaging, and easy to follow. My anxiety did kick in once I realized other people would also be eating what I made, but we made it through and I loved what I got, the jalapeno poppers. You can feel the passion in what the chef does and everything ran very smoothly even though we were the last done lol Come hungry and ready to learn! We walked away with some new skills, a deeper knowledge of peppers, and some great recipes we can't wait to try at home. This truly will be memorable for us!

Our class was on salsa sauces with different peppers and home made tacos. The class started with the chef walking us through the printed recipes and what was wrong with them. (Maybe redo these with correct recipes? And then go right to cooking and teaching?) Then we all chopped and cooked. At the end we got to taste everybody's products.

I came to Santa Fe on a bachelorette trip, which I planned for my sister. She was interested in pottery and we found this absolute gem of a place. I cannot recommend highly enough! Every one of the 6 of us who went felt rejuvenated after the class, it was a fun, creative experience but also somehow meditative. Theo brings the best vibes and was a great, wise, kind leader of the class. I will definitely try to come back on a future visit and if you are contemplating a class or experience, contemplate no further--- pick this one!!

I also rented studio space to do hand building while living in Santa Fe for the month of June. The studio is beautiful, with excellent lighting and very good equipment. Big tables, lots of shelf space. The sign up schedule is easy to understand and the hours available are generous and a reasonable price. Theo was easy to work with, answered questions quickly and was so accommodating. I've worked in many clay studios and besides how well it is is equipped, there is always a vibe, an energy. The energy that Theo has created here is creative, generous, gracious and warm and it attracts clay artists who fit that description perfectly. Loved every minute I spent there, eager to return.

Later while looking up yarn stores on Yelp I found the listing for Miriam's Well and saw the location was right where that sign was, so I called to ask about parking. Miriam answered and told me where to park (the first driveway past the sign while going clockwise on PdP, you have to go down the alley to the end then turn right and then you'll find her shop and a couple places to park in front of it. She has a great little yarn shop with supplies for weavers as well as knitters and crocheters. Miriam is a very nice lady with a great selection of yarns - standards like Berroco, Cascade, Plymouth, Noro as well as a lot of more hard-to-find and more local options as well. Some really gorgeous stuff! She has many sample garments prepared, I'm not sure if they were for sale but there were so many I suspect that some of them are. I myself came out of there with a skein of Great Adirondack sock yarn and a skein of Plymouth Yarns "Happy Feet". Prices were pretty standard compared to other similar shops, she did have a couple specials as well. I will be sure to visit every year when I'm in town!
