This is definitely a shop with a lot of stuff happening--full shelves, display case, lots of samples and decorations. Oh yeah, and a bird! They have fiber, patterns, and supplies for both yarn crafters and felters and spinners. There's even a selection of cotton thread, which I haven't seen in another LYS in Lanc. County. There's also an unparalleled selection of accessories, both for crafting purposes (along the lines of stitch markers, tape measurers, etc) and fun (themed notebooks, a knit and natter party game, etc). You can find a collection of antique fiber supplies on display, as well as plenty of cute, finished items if you're not an obsessed crafter like myself. In terms of customer service, they were very friendly. I can't yet speak to what they offer for crafting support or classes.

Christine was my teacher, and she took a project that was headed in a couple different directions other than the direction that I originally intended. Thank-you, Christine, Barb Kaulback.

You can make your own bracelets right there, you can shop for supplies (beads, charms, wire, etc.), and you can buy already made jewelry. The staff was wonderful! Friendly and helpful. (Can y'all ship to me? ) A really great spot for learning more, browsing and shopping, etc. Had a great experience here and left with an awesome haul of beads and charms. I'm visiting from out of town and wanted to find a place to knit. After only a few minutes in the shop I felt completely comfortable and "at home." It's wonderful--with many locally sourced yarns. You really have to go to this great Yarn shop. Maybe I'll see you there!

The most recent location is furthest from me, but I went to get a new baby gift with the name embroidered, as I do for each of my friends when they have a baby. I called ahead of time to find out the store hours, and was told they were closing at 5 BUT the owner would wait if I got there shortly after which was very kind of her. I asked if I could place my order over the phone and provide credit card information, so it would be ready when I got to the store and I would not hold the owner/manager up. I was told that was unnecessary as long as I got there shortly after 5. I got to the store right at 5, picked out my gift quickly and asked to have it embroidered. I was told I had to come back the NEXT DAY to pick it up. I explained that I was visiting my friend in an hour, and the ability to have a blanket custom embroidered so quickly after a baby was born was the reason I drove all the way to her new location. I was told she couldn't do it, and was leaving. I left empty handed, my time wasted. I was late to visit my friend and her new baby that evening because I needed to stop at an alternate store to pick out a gift. The customer service offered at this shop was never good, but the products were adorable and the convenience was great. With the convenience gone, and the customer service at an all time low, I'll never go back. Posting a sign on the door thanking customers for supporting local businesses but offering poor customer service in return is a sure fire way to send customers running to online stores, and right out of their local business. I do not recommend anyone waste their time as I did.

The store is VERY small, but they pack a ton of variety into this little space. The prices are a bit higher than you might expect, but the items are quality, including some great crystals and jewelry. You are always offered a hot cup of tea when you come in, even if you are just browsing. They have various skin care products and the supply of incense is ever changing. One of my favorite things to do is have a custom scent blended, or add a perfume oil to one of their different base options like body wash, massage lotion or hand lotion. There are a bunch of little roller bottles of perfume scents, and once you've picked a favorite, they will add drops of your smell to a scent free base. I use a roller of 3/4 sandalwood to 1/4 tea rose as my regular perfume scent. In addition to perfume oils, they have a supply of essential oils, and the owner Vonnie is a very knowledgeable aromatherapist, which helps if you aren't sure what to pick up.
