I had a very good experience, from start to finish at Milwaukee Eye Care. From check-in to finish…read morewas on time, informational, and the tests were completed with no waiting or downtime. Every step was explained fully, and my questions were answered to my complete understanding and satisfaction. The staff leading up to my meeting with Dr. Murphy were all efficient and friendly. I moved through the process easily. During my consultation with Dr. Murphy, I was fully informed about the tests being done, the results as he saw them, and also my options for further treatment. I felt heard and respected. Dr. Murphy was highly recommended to me by my dermatologist and he is also on the Top 100 Doctors of Milwaukee, so my confidence was good. During the appointment, I was able to schedule the surgery, as well as the two follow-up appointments needed. I was given paperwork with all FAQs I could need, as well as the financial expectations. I left after a very short amount of time and with all the information I would need. I have now had my surgery and that also went incredibly well. I will review this on the Envision review as that is where the procedure was done. I will, however, return to Milwaukee Eye Care for my followup appointments and I have no reason to believe I will be less satisfied afterward.

My 84 year old father, an established patient at this facility, had an eye emergency this morning…read more I called to see if they could fit him in with anyone and they had no openings at no locations. We ended up going to urgent care which is down the hall from his doctor's office. urgent care was unable to help him as they didn't have an ophthalmologist on staff and told us to go to the emergency room, 15 miles away. After urgent care and before the emergency room, we walked over to the Milwaukee Eye Care Office to see if there was anything they could do and was told simply "sorry go to the emergency room". This facility appears to fine when providing care if it's scheduled well ahead of time but if you need them in an urgent situation they will have zero compassion. I will be getting him a new doctor that can provide care when it's needed not only weeks in advance. We could have waited as we have been in the hospital's emergency waiting room for several hours now without being seen.

Left eye for reading has Stigatism and right eye for distant. My vision was blurred on computer and at night. This is my first time wearing contacts, so it was a challenge finding the right balance for my prescription. Dr. Sheikh did and excellent job tweaking and making adjustments to make that perfect balance. Highly recommend her especially if you are a new contact user. Go to a Specialist!! Do not waist your time going to a local optical and getting rushed to order contacts like I did. A specialist like Dr. Sheikh is going to make sure you walk out with a smile and is happy with your new contacts. YAY I can see without my glasses

A refund was refused and management never followed up with my complaint. Please beware of providers taking advantage of seniors. If I was informed that a specialist fee was to be charged I would have went elsewhere!

Paid my $35 copay only to be seen by an Optomotrist. My wife specifically asked for an Opthamologist and explained what was going on when she made the appt. The Optomotrist told me it was not a stye but rather a chilazion (which is a stye away from the eyelash) but I should come back to see an Opthomologist. She also told me to stop the stye drops and warm compresses as they do no good with chilazions. They have one that specializes in eyelid issues. Made appt to come back on Jan 7th as he was off through the holidays. Went back on Jan 7, paid my copay again, that is now $50 as of the 1st. He called it a stye. When I told him what I was told by his office in Dec he said they are the same thing. Asked if I was doind warm compresses, told him his office told me to stop. He said he is a big believer in warm compresses and should be doing that. Told him it has been 2 months now, he said he could drain it, but that is difficult and painful. He also said he could inject it with some meds that might help, but they don't have any right now. The third option is warm compresses. I asked what he recommended and he said they are all about 50 % effective so it really doesn't matter. Needless to say, I left without any real conclusions. Never go back there again!!!

I see Dr. Rajurkar, who is excellent in terms of skill, training, expertise, bedside manner and all things you need in a specialist. I have great confidence in Rajurkar because he is clearly up on research and technique. I vetted. Not going to have just anyone poking around in my eyeballs with a laser beam. Still, it would actually be hard to find a poorly qualified ophthalmologist, they do have to graduate from medical school and successfully finish a rigorous residency. The difference in specialty medical clinics is the front line staff. Ophthalmology Associates has a mixed bag in this department. I really like the reception/front desk people at the south side location, they are excellent. The phone bank people who do the scheduling (they seem to be working from the West National number but maybe all numbers ring somewhere else for scheduling) are less than satisfactory. The physician had to reschedule, and the office has apparently never heard of email. I got an annoying letter blaming me for them not being able to reach me so I had to call back during their business hours "TO RESCHEDULE." I'm stressing this because they highlighted that we "need to reschedule (my) appointment" in the letter. Like me, they don't always answer the phone, when I was finally able to get through I got the most annoying woman. She immediately decided we were on a first name basis (though she couldn't pronounce Rohan), talked over me without listening, and scolded me for not answering my phone when they tried calling. No phone manners whatsoever. Very hypocritical. I tried to explain that during the COVID-19 shut down, many of us are working in front of computers and can't answer our phones the minute they ring, and when she demanded another number I had to explain that again. She asked again for a phone number I can be contacted at, meaning a number I will immediately answer. Hey, can I call your boss at his number and have him pick up right away? Big assumption that no patients work, or at least, patient's jobs aren't important. That's how I pay my bills and like any good ophthalmology practice, this place isn't cheap. I asked to be contacted by email, and in a condescending voice she told me that is not possible. How is that not possible? Doesn't give one much confidence in the clinic's use of the latest technology, now does it? My primary care nurse practitioner can use email and I can schedule conveniently online. It's not brain surgery. Remember the highlighted "we need to reschedule your appointment" after the "our office has attempted to contact you by phone several times" letter? I know, it's been a long rant. After all of this she tells me since they don't know when the ophthalmologist will be able to return, they can't schedule a make up appointment for me (didn't bother to ask if I needed to see anyone sooner, there are at least 6 other eye specialists there) and hey, how about leading with this lady? She made it very clear my time is just not important to her. If I recall correctly, a phrase we used to use back in the mid 20th century was, "When would be convenient to call back?" If they are going to insist on sticking with 1960s communication technology, I think they should maintain 1960s telephone manners.
