Three years ago I raved about Olde Towne Pet Resort to every dog owner I knew. Now I wouldn't board…read morea houseplant here. Great to horrible, entirely self-inflicted. Every booking, every pet, every time: more signatures and "agreements" than a mortgage closing. Somewhere there's a lawyer who's never met a dog and decided the real threat to this business is the guy who's paid them loyally for three years. You carefully fill out the entire grooming form online, pick every option -- then show up and they shove a paper copy across the counter to sign the exact same thing again. And after all that paperwork, they still claim they don't have the phone number they've had on file for three years and called me on before. Let's put this in perspective. I can order dinner to my door in two taps -- Reorder, Apple Pay, done. A stranger drives hot food across town on the strength of my thumbprint. But dropping off dogs these people have known for three years apparently requires a signing ceremony and a fresh liability waiver every single visit. In 2026, that's not caution. That's a business that's forgotten how to trust its own customers. And then there's the membership -- the crown jewel of contempt. They took a system that worked and actively torched it. Gone are the daycare credit packs: fair, flexible, buy-what-you-need, the way a business treats people it respects. In their place, a pricier monthly "membership" that auto-drafts your card whether your dog walks through the door or not, with no rollover for the days you paid for and never used. Read that again: you pay, they keep it, your dog gets nothing, and they call it a perk. It's not a membership -- it's a standing withdrawal from your bank account with a bow on it. It punishes the exact people who kept this place in business: the regulars whose lives don't run on a fixed weekly schedule. Some months my dogs come once, some months five times, because that's how actual life works -- and this program is built to make sure I lose either way. It doesn't serve pets. It doesn't serve owners. It serves a spreadsheet, and it treats every loyal customer as a recurring charge to be maximized rather than a person to be valued. It is, top to bottom, the most openly hostile "loyalty" scheme I've ever been asked to fund. When customers spend more time signing forms and fighting your billing than petting their dogs, you're not a pet resort -- you're a law firm with a kennel attached. Take your pets somewhere that still remembers what the word "customer" means.

The pet portal also is used to book visits and ask any questions, and AFPC always answers questions quickly. I sent my greyhound/lab mix here for the 2 week boot camp program, and I approve of the results…read more My dog is a resuce and even though he is very trainable, he is also very excitable so he needs a certain level of discipline from training. Scott trained him for the majority of the time he was there, and whenever my dog sees him now he becomes excited by his mere presence. My dog already had key obedience skills and needed help with socialization for the most part. Scott did exactly what we asked for, and of course my dog still has his flaws after the training was finished. However, keep in mind doggie boot camp will not be the end of training for any dog. It is a great option for building on your dogs training already or giving him basic skills. Afterwards though, it will be up to you as an owner to follow through and solidify any training given to your pet. Plus, 900+ dollars is much cheaper than some of the other boot camps in the area. Final note, it is important to talk to the boot camp instructors before deciding to leave your dog here. My dog has certain training methods I wanted done, and I made sure of that before leaving him here. If you have certain ways of dealing with your pup, it is best to speak to the trainers here before you leave your dog. You may find some of their methods intense, but if your dog is anything like mine that may be needed in controlled doses.

My babies LOVE her, even when she has to give them shots, they still love her to pieces. She is patient, loving, and truly cares about the animals she sees. She will go above and beyond to help an animal in her care. The only "bad" thing I can say is that sometimes you have to wait a little while for Dr. Werden to finish up with a particularly hard case before you can be seen. Other than that she's the best. As for the rest of the Vet staff...from the front office(check in and check out) they are always friendly they somehow remember your name and the animals name(even over the phone) and the vet technicians are phenomenal!! I know Kristin and Devon by name and sight, and the love they show my pups is unmatched. From the very first meeting that we had with our assigned sitter, we were confident that our pets would be in good hands. Our sitter took great care of our kitties and guinea pigs. She kept us updated during our trip with daily report and pictures. We felt secure that our furrbabies were getting excellent care and loads of attention. Our shy kitties took to our sitter as if she has known them for a long time. After a couple of visits, our guys were interacting with her, which is unheard of even with our previous sitter from another company in the area that has been sitting for them for a few years! That gets an A+ in our book. Any time I have contacted them for service, they are quick to respond and are patient with my never-ending list of questions.
