A few years ago , my husband and I both became patients of Dr Bonnick . I was a traveling nurse…read morewith genetically weak teeth , so I had seen dentists in many different States , had several root canals , crowns and even two extractions . When I had a toothache one day , I made an emergent appointment . After an ex-ray was taken , Dr Bonnick said he could not squeese me into his schedule , but advised me to see his associate ( an elderly dentist ) . This dentist recommended a tooth extraction of the second to the largest molar in the back of my left lower jaw .After much deliberation with the elderly dentist , I agreed to have my molar extracted right then . The procedure took over an hour ----the other extractions I had took a few minutes .I had a huge swelling in my jaw and neck (which I did not have before the extraction ) ,for over two weeks .I returned to see Dr Bonnick a day later because ibuprofen with excedrin and ice were not controlling my pain . he was unimpressed by the swelling and refused to order any medication for my pain .I never had an issue with narcotics and the pain I was having prevented me from going to work for a couple of days . I worked in an ICU and the only thing I could concentrate on at that time was my own pain . There were other smaller concerns I had with Dr Bonnick , but several other dentists which I had gone to were less than perfect , so my husband and I ignored the lesser issues . The biggest problem I have is that I believe ( and realistically KNOW ) , that my molar was viable and I may not have even needed a root canal to save it . I could have had a simple cavity . Sincerely , Vera G. Rogers

We've been with Dr. Bonnick since he arrived here from NY in 2004 and took over the practice of our…read moreretiring dentist, Dr. Kriegsman, and stayed with him after moving from Greensboro to his current High Point location. Debra, our hygienist, is simply the best! However, in early 2013, I had the very rare occasion to have a severe toothache, only to discover that Dr. Bonnick was unreachable until the following week during regular office hours! He sent me to another dentist for a root canal, but joked that he would like to simply extract the tooth and put in an implant. This surprised me since nothing seemed to prompt that extreme course of treatment. Also, my wife has had a number of implants with Dr. Bonnick (costing tens of thousands of dollars) and was NOT happy at all with Dr. Bonnick's procedures, responses to issues and complications, or the LACK of attention to detail by both the assistants and office staff. One only need to be forgotten about in a procedure room for an hour while in severe pain to wonder about the organization of a medical office. My own dental issue resulted in a root canal after which the tooth later cracked, necessitating an eventual extraction and implant. Rather than returning to Dr. Bonnick, whose staff seemed to have great difficulty in outlining the implant treatment plan procedures, cost, and schedule, I secured a referral to a GREAT dentist in Burlington, NC who in turn sent me to a local periodontist who specializes in "instant" implants in a quarter of the time and half the cost as those performed by Dr. Bonnick (as experienced by my wife). My implants were almost seamless as far dental procedures go and have been rock solid ever since! As an added benefit, we found the nicest and best dentist over in Burlington.
