Unfortunately TJ's is still sitting on a $225 deposit from 4/26/23 for a small job in Haverhill, it's now 6/23/23. We've been told the ETA is around the end of June due to the rain but we still have no information regarding the fence. The deposit went via Venmo to Dawn M. however she doesn't have any info. and reverts to Tim. We are requesting a refund of the deposit if no ETA is given. Do not work with this company!!! read more

I called Tim early in the season this year, he gave us a great quote, but the service was even better. As some one stated here, hung out after to answer questions, both when he gave the quote and when he installed. They went fast and cleaned up everything. They did a great job on our fence. They worked quickly and efficiently and made sure to clear all the debris (they don't take the extra dirt but we plan to use to level our uneven yard). After installing the fence, they let the concrete sit for a couple of days before adding the gates. It is nice and solid now. Owner is a nice guy - he even hung out for a couple of extra minutes to make sure I got back in my house okay after my toddler tried to lock me out. It is a family run business and they seem to take their work seriously. read more

I was so hopeful, because my neighbor across the street recommended them. My fence is uneven, one of the caps is missing from the post where the gate hangs. It was hung too high, so I had to put crushed rock on the ground to keep critters out. It does not match up with the existing fence. I took pics with my cell and sent them, called him the next day, and left a message. He never called back. I tried in another week in case he was busy. He never called back. He just blew me off. We hired TJ's Fence to remove parts of an old fence and install a new vinyl fence and pergola around our backyard. Tim is great and very communicative. Really knows his stuff. His crew is punctual, courteous and they clean up their mess. The estimate was fair, the work was performed when stated. There was an issue with the pergola arriving (not TJ's fault but the supplier) and Tim did a great job keeping me informed. The work they performed is excellent quality and we could not be more pleased. I highly recommend them & we would hire them again without hesitation. read more

There are too many other respectable and courteous fence installers in the area that do not avoid and ignore their customers. Tim came out and gave me a "lump sum" quote for a fence job on my property in early March. When I reasonably asked to itemize the materials & labor costs for the two separate fence types, I received an email response stating that "there simply isn't enough time in the day to do that for our customers." When I called and insisted, Tim was rude and told me that he gets "4 or 5 of you guys every year who want to know how much I make off each job." I was polite and stated I that I was just trying to understand the quote a bit more in detail and how he came up with the figure. He reluctantly broke out the materials and labor amounts for the job and we cordially ended our call. I suppose he wasn't too thrilled on my request as I was never able to get in touch with him again. I followed up 2 weeks later via email stating that I was interested in moving forward only to be met with silence. I followed up with at least 3 more phone calls/voicemails and 2 more emails over the span of 2 weeks and was ignored every time. I can't comment on his work/product as we never got that far but if I were a prospective customer, I would have doubts on working with TJs given his lack of response and complete disregard to a simple request any smart consumer should inquire about. read more

TJ's Fence has now cemented itself as my go to fence company. I needed two gates totally redone and their quote was the most affordable compared to three other companies I had quote us. Tim was friendly, informative and easy to work with to get our fences fixed. Not only was their work fantastic, but while they were here they noticed a branch broke off and damaged a top rail and some panels in the corner of my yard (an area that wasn't mentioned and not part of the quote). Tim and his team fixed it for no additional cost, just out of the goodness of their hearts! We just bought a new house and will be calling them again to get our new yard completely fenced. Came right out to do a free estimate and took the time to talk the project through and help us come up with the best plan for what we wanted. I got two more estimates from other "recommended" companies and they were 50% more expensive . Tim was very communicative and went above and beyond on this project. They moved heavy boulders out of the way, hand dug post holes where necessary to avoid damaging any irrigation lines, and finessed the fence into hard to reach areas so it would be the way I wanted it. TJ's has a very professional crew that works hard, was respectful of my property, and did an awesome clean up. Thank you so much guys. If you're looking for a fence contractor in Northern MA/Southern NH... just stop Googling them and call TJ's. We wanted to install a fence in our new backyard so our dogs could play safely, but I was concerned it would make our big pretty NH yard seem closed off. We also have a set of stone steps leading up to our backyard from the driveway with rounded walls in front of them, and I had no idea how a fence would fit there without making the stairs look out of place. These guys nailed it. We went with a privacy fence on the front and sides of the yard and a black chain link across the back. The entire fence just flows around the yard and looks fantastic. We have a perfect view of the tree line. They also knew how to situate the fence and install the door at those stairs to make it look like the fence was there all along. Fair price, high quality materials, and a bunch of nice, hardworking, professional guys. I would recommend them to anyone and use them again if I had another fence project. Thank you! read more
