When they showed up the owner said he had more block back at his shop but he would have to go get it, which he never did... I hired them to do some lawn grading which I ended up having to have another 20 yards of loam delivered to fix the grade away from the house and the retaining wall they built was less than 1/2 of the quoted size!! They also buried corrugated pipe for my gutter to drain into which has washed out many times instead of solid PVC. PBS handled the permit, the check for gas/water lines, and multiple inspections. All I had to do was make a couple decisions when presented with options, and then sit back and relax. Work proceeded on time, in pretty much all weather--in fact they started the day after a February blizzard, which didn't seem to bother them at all! SD Construction was hired to remodel a 3 season room, turning into a fully heated, insulated,…read moreusable space. The job entailed adding walls, siding, insulation, drywall, electrical, split unit installation, installing windows, and finish wood work. From the beginning, I was very happy with Scott and his team. I received the requested, itemized estimate within the time frame he gave me. We communicated mostly through email and the questions i had about the estimate and throughout the process were answered right away. During construction, when an existing wall was removed and wood rot was found, Scott talked us through the problem and laid out our options being very clear that the additional work, should we choose that route, would require additional cost. He was upfront about the additional costs (that are often unavoidable) and I felt that he always had the best interest of the project in mind. He wasn't looking for ways to increase cost but was honest when it was unavoidable. The project was completed in a timely manner and though construction brings its own sort of mess, the guys kept my yard and the area as neat and clean as possIble. The project was also completely in a reasonable time frame. If and when a delay occurred (weather, materials, etc) I was notified of it. In the end, I have an awesome new room, that demonstrates pride in workmanship and attention to detail. I would highly recommend SD Construction!
