This company is dishonorable, don't use them. The had one of their trucks ejecting a ton of hard material from the bed while heading on 93 north. This lack of bed cleanliness after a job led to my brand new car getting damaged. They (and their insurance) refuse to take any accountability for their carelessness. Two lessons learned 1) this company is dishonorable 2) ALWAYS keep a camera running so you can keep people accountable. read more

We needed our hedges trimmed and beds weeded. The company we used last year was not someone we wanted to use again. Belko Landscaping also handles where I work so seemed a logical choice... Took a little time to get fitted into scheduled but that's understandable during this time for sure! The workers did a awesome job and were very polite! We had a very bad experience with this company and had to go to small claims court to resolve it. He lost but never paid off the judgement.

Well, I don't like Belko Landscaping. Reason being is this: Initially I contacted Belko to do spring clean-up and they gave me $575 estimate. At that time, we decided to do it ourselves and started cleaning our yard. Unfortunately, we had to stop doing that due to some unrelated, but very serious reasons. By that time if not 2/3 of the yard, then definitely more than a half of it had been cleaned up (I still have a garage full of leaf bags). I called Belko one more time and asked them to give us a new estimate - it came as $500. After more than a half has been cleaned only $75 difference?! But they had me other the barrel and I agreed to this price, secretly hopping that when they come and see how little to do is left, they will reduce their price (I actually, asked the lady on phone for the revised estimate and explained the circumstances). But, no - I got the same $500 bill, which I paid of course, since I had agreed to that. But in my view, Belko used my dire circumstances to get practically full price for less than half of the job. Which just shows that greed is an overwhelming feeling... BTW, they did only so-so job - I still had to pick up left behind pieces here and there. Update: Let me retract that "so-so" assessment of the job they done and change it to "shitty" - here is why. Something wasn't visible until I started removing old grass this weekend - I discovered a lot of gravel pieces all over portion of the lawn between the deck and the pool. Here is what must have happened. They've been using a powerful leaf blower and managed to blow some gravel from the layer underneath the deck (although it has a border of brick edgers) right onto the lawn. We often have kids coming to our house and they love running around the pool barefoot and now I'm removing all this gravel piece by piece (spent already half a day yesterday). So, even for that little amount of job they had to do, they still managed to do more harm than good. read more

Awful customer service. I called a week or so ago to talk to someone about having a tree removed. My information was taken down and I was told someone would swing by that day and that I would get a call back. Never happened. A few days later I called back and left a message stating again what I was looking to have done and mentioned how no one had gotten back to me yet. It's now a week later. No phone call. No response. No follow up. No way I'll be going with this company even if they called me back today. read more

Contacted Belko for an estimate for brush cleanup and new lawn. I agreed to the price of $1500 thinking I was getting a fair price. They did a good job cleaning all the brush and dead bushes, but when it came to filling and loam this is where I had questions. Called several times to inquire about the "loam" as it looked questionable....still don't believe it was screened loam they used, and after 2 weeks, still had no grass. Then, they told me I wasn't watering it enough ( 3 times a day), I said I couldn't because I worked and could only water 2x a day. When the "grass" finally started to come up, it came up ALL weeds. Called several more times to inquire about the weeds, no call back after 2 weeks, so I went in person one day. I was told "We're very busy here, and you will have to move your car" I asked for John, and explained my questions, and again was told We're very busy here, I'll give him your message. 5 days later, the girl from the office calls me and says it's MY FAULT there are weeds, and basically I'm out of luck and they will not come to weed and seed it, and I can call another company in the fall to fertilize it. WOW, I guess once they cash your check ( they're not TOO BUSY to do that) they are DONE with you!!! Live and learn, BELKO, never again!! Funny how John, the owner is so nice when he comes to give an estimate, then, I never heard from HIM again and had to deal with other people to answer questions and he couldn't be bothered to return a phone call!
