Customer service is superb BUT be careful. We were very specific in what we wanted. We got a quote that we were going to accept. Then the owner contacted us and stated it'd be almost $1400 more because they had to use a scaffold since we had a metal roof. We had the metal roof when we got the estimate so it shouldn't have gone up. And honestly if they had come out when we called instead of waiting 3 weeks, we wouldn't have had that roof yet. Only complaint and reason for not hiring is last minute price increases because their staff didn't know how to properly quote it. read more

Wildly terrible service. Do not buy from them. We're building a house in the woods and wanted a wood burning stove. We paid the $225 inspection so we could get the specs of the stove to frame it out. They quoted us a GAS INSERT without asking if we had propane or a gas hook up and refused to refund us the $225. We got nothing from the $225 and the owner said it didn't matter, no refund. read more

I had a terrible experience with TJ's Chimney! poor workmanship, incomplete installation, and unsafe stove pipe installation. The owner Rick Duane Driskill even threatened to file a lien when I raised concerns. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for chimney work. read more

DO NOT USE TJ. quoted / promised a replacement fire insert with 2 way fire place same size , design, company could compete all aspects of entire work. Job was not on time, wrong size fire insert, actually 1/2 size of prior requested fire insert, granite size given to granite provider incorrect/too small, hole left in ceiling ,looked ghetto, did not respond to emails or calls, had to get other contractors to finish and correct, also roof leaked. I called this company for an estimate to install a wood burning fireplace in our home. They told me that they charge a fee for preparation of an estimate since they would have to do a design etc. I had no problem with that and they came out. They were professional, took measurements and told us that they would get back to us as soon as possible, but due to their work load it may take 2 weeks. After 3 weeks I called and emailed and just got the receptionist after a week of trying, the receptionist told me that the price would be in the $75K range, which is ridiculous. So they just threw this number out To make me go away, but they sure cashed my $159. Pretty awful customer service! Shame on you guys! read more

We have a 26-year old house that had a faulty chimney. Water leakage had ruined the exterior brick, creating a mess of brick and mortar chips littering our deck area. TJ's came out, inspected it last Fall, and provided us a quote. It was too cold to lay new brick so they returned this Spring - in the coronavirus shelter-in-place situation - and meticulously prepped, tore down, and rebuilt our chimney. They had five workers, who worked hard each day. The work area was kept as clean as possible with no debris scattered around our yard. As soon as all the brick was off, they removed it from our yard. We were so impressed with their professionalism, commitment to doing good work, and the neatness with which they did it. I would recommend them for chimney work and tuck pointing to others. Left three seperate messages three seperate times over a period of two weeks wanting to discuss services and no one ever returned those calls. When I finally did get someone to answer the phone (fourth try), there was serious attitude from the receptionist. When I asked if they were still accepting customers she said that they were and acted offended at my question. When I explained that I was asking because I hadn't heard from anyone regarding my messages she ignored the question altogether. I inquired about prices anyways and found after later calling several other providers in the area that their prices were the highest in my area all while offering nothing more than the cheaper providers. My advice is don't waste your time here. The customer service is absent here, entitlement has set in, and they don't even return phone calls. read more

New gas insert installed was installed and it has made the house super cozy for the up coming cold weather. Very excited to have the whole family snuggled up close to it this holiday season! We built our house in 2006 and our dryer vents had NEVER been cleaned. My wife was really concerned that if we didn't do something that we might be a victim of a house fire. Horrible experience with this company. Called to set up appointment. I needed my dryer vent cleaned the worker didn't come with any equipment or tools to do his job! All he did was go into the crawl space and look at the problem. We have bricks covering the cover of crawl space because our dog can get it open. He wouldn't even move those, he made my husband do it! Then he had the balls to charge us $59. Then quoted us a price that was ridiculous. Do NOT use this company.
