Incredible food, delicious cocktails, and friendly staff - I highly recommend this restaurant. Tjoget used to be on the World's Top 50 bars list - and for good reason. The cocktails are out of this world good, boasting unique flavor profiles and a lot of depth in each one. My personal favorites were the "Drink Your Greens" and "Piccadilly Circus" cocktails. The food is also great. You can't go wrong with anything, but I favor the Saganaki, Tzatziki, and Sea Bass dishes. Last but certainly not least, the staff is extremely friendly, and the environment is warm and inviting while also remaining chic and sophisticated. I had this bar on my list after visiting Himkok in Oslo (another top 50 bars in the world). And Tjoget did not disappoint. We got there right after it opened (noon on a Saturday) so we can have a drink before our lunch reservation. The bar was really empty at that time (perfect)! We mentioned to the bartender what type of drinks we liked and he suggested that I try something fruity and semi strong. I totally forgot the name of the drink but please refer to the picture showing a drink in pink. I loved the very bit of my drink and I could totally see myself having another! My friend had the salted caramel (as she enjoys whiskey based drink) and it was very smooth and tasty! Definitely make time to visit this bar during your visit and sit by the bar to learn about the story behind their drinks!! read more

The cocktails are really good and the food is amazing! We went there on a Wednesday evening to eat (have been for cocktails several times before), got seated quickly without reservation. We decided to order several smaller dishes and share, we were two and started with four dishes and ordered an extra later because the food was too good not to. Everything we ate was delicious! The cauliflower with pecorino and lacinato kale was especially good! We also had the mussles, the potatoes with chorizo, vitello tonnato, and mangalica. The prices on the smaller dishes we had varied from 95-135 SEK, most drinks are 145 SEK, which I would call fairly priced for the quality. The only small drawback is that it can be quite noisy at times, but still worth it. We will definitely both eat and drink here again! read more

Hung out in the Hornstull neighborhood for an extra two hours to wait for this spot to open--it's *that* good. This bar and restaurant feels big and old and very European. Both the inside and patio are super photoworthy, the cocktails are killer, and the staff is chatty and kind. They also share a wall and window with a barbershop which is like, the most hipster-y thing ever. Sign me up. We arrived right around opening time and grabbed a seat at the bar for a couple drinks and snacks. I tried the "Pink Rhino" cocktail which was a gorgeous as it was tasty--my partner had a draft beer that he also enjoyed. We munched on the Spanish crisps which are basically just housemade potato chips, the perfect pairing for a cocktail IMO. They have a full food menu here that looked intriguing, but alas, we'd just snacked next door at Beijing8. You can bet if I lived in Stockholm I'd be hangin' on Tjoget's patio all summer long! read more

We found this place on accident while searching around Stockholm for a dinner spot we had bookmarked. I'm glad I stumbled in because I think the pricy cocktail I enjoyed was the highlight of my trip! The service was impeccable, and the drinks were made with some serious love for a well crafted cocktail. I was very happy to drop the amount of money it cost to spend some time in this beautiful bar (and get some free wifi) and enjoy a drink that warmed me up for my walk to dinner. It's another place where the cool elderly kids from Stockholm hang. The interior is very appealing and you can take a quick peek over at the Roy & Son Barbershop which made me wish I had a beard! (Maybe for Movember, who knows?). I had a tricolore cocktail which was really good but decided to not ruin my wallet by staying there. Tjoget also serves food but since I already ate some Bi Bim Bip chez Koreana, I decided to keep it at that. The open kitchen window is utmost inviting, so I might save up to eat there one day haha. For a poor student like me, I can't afford Tjoget every week.. But it was nice to throw a glance at how life can be if you decide to spend 132kr a cocktail, eating cheese and laughing with your cool creative colleages about how superfood and such (don't know what cool kids talk about) haha. Not a huge fan of having time limits on tables during dinner (so they can seat the next party) - I mean I understand their reasoning - but at the same time, it's not fun to be told you have to hurry up and order or you won't have time to eat because they need you to leave the table by 20:00 (when you arrived at 19:00). It wasn't so bad though - because the bar area was fun to hang out at after we finished eating. I love this place! The vibe is super cool and a nice mix of hipster, bohemian and yuppies (young urban professionals). The bar staff even look hip in their trendy mens patterned and collared shirts. I think that the room was chic and really had a NYC vibe. You could see the trendy throwback barbershop next door through a wall of glass. It gave it that big-city-tight-busy-lively-cool feel. Though, I'm not sure I would want to be they guy in the barbers chair getting an old fashioned shave with an entire bar staring at me. Maybe another type of business would have been a better fit in there? I haven't eaten the food (though I intend to), so this review is purely based on the atmosphere, drinks and service at the bar. I called ahead originally looking for the Purple Room (I heard you needed reservations there) and they told me that it had permanently closed, which was a bummer. However, they also informed me that they still did have a bar, just not THAT bar anymore. After a little light conversation and pleasantries on the phone they went out of their way to make an exception and hold a table for me and my guest at their other bar. Which is not something any restaurant would normally do and something I don't recommend anyone to call and ask for--because you'll typically get a flat "no." From the moment I called to when I showed up they were very kind and informative. They took the time to give a real warm welcome and really interacted with us as customers. I asked to be surprised for my first cocktail, and it was absolutely delicious. Out of everything we had that evening I highly recommend their Pushing Daisies and La Belle Epoque cocktails. I also liked how they had Pilsner Urquell on tap! Though the glasses were not as big or traditional as the ones they have in the Czech Republic, I still think you still got a similar amount of beer. I've gone back twice now to this place and on the second visit the man who seems to be running the joint still remembered my name! That's quality service. I also opened a tab and later the bartender somehow knew who was with me in that crowded space. When my friends went up to order they asked if it was on my bill! They were quick, friendly, efficient and very observant. It really can make a customer feel special when a place is that personable, I know I did! If they wanted my patronage, they succeeded. I went on a Sunday evening for dinner. The place is cosy and cool. Despite the crowd it wasn't noisy. When ordering I get asked about eventual food allergies. I decide to order some starters as tapas. Bread comes to the table and there is a gluten free choice if you ask. The food is fresh, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We managed to linger near the bar where we were able to order some amazing starters. as you walk in you pass by a barber shop, which aesthetically was kinda cool, but could be a little weird watching someone get a shave while you nosh. Great selection of charcuterie and a fully stocked bar. The must order dish is the Coca Catalan. Pork cheek on a flat bread. I'm thinking about it now.... Main dishes were definitely solid and filling, but I think their starters are the way to go. The chorizo and calamari was really good. Only downside was there wasn't that much calamari. I really DO NOT recommend this place. Unless you want to endure smoke, a fire alarm, firefighters and be insulted by the manager. We were there, a group of friends having drinks, and suddenly there is smoke everywhere. The fire alarm goes off. The sound is REALLY loud and excruciating, and I get really worried. Not to mention, if you have had been through a fire before, this is really scary. We get up to get out of there as soon as we can, but no, we have to pay before we leave. The smoke is not as heavy as being not from a big fire, it's from the kitchen, but it is really thick and who knows what can become of it? The alarm is so loud we cannot speak to each other. We pay, and then I go to see the manager and I tell him this is crazy, the fire alarm is going, and there is smoke everywhere. I am not cheap, but this is not how I imagined our night out. When I complain, the manager says exactly this to me: "Are you kidding? I am actually laughing at you right now. This is not a real fire, can't you see?" I get really upset, and he laughs right in my face. We get outside, and there are two fire trucks outside with firefighters ready to get in. The manager tells them there is no fire to put out. But the truth is, the smoke can get through the ventilation and cause poisoning, and even a fire. During this whole incident, there is no information from the staff or the management of what is actually happening. This is a place for you if you want to go somewhere were the management could care less of their customers having to endure smoke, fire and a fire alarm, and caring less about you and your safety. read more

Me and my friends set out for a shorter cocktail crawl before going to Globen/Annexet for a live experience with Alter Bridge (tremendously awesome concert that blew our minds!). I have a soft spot for cocktails and I've had my eyes on going to Linje Tio for quite some time. A bar listed on "The World's 50 Best Bars" (#25 as of 2016), the expectations are nothing short of astronomical. Imagine my satisfaction when they both deliver and exceed both mine and my friends expectations. We arrived just a few minutes after opening time (4 pm) and the place was already bustling with people wearing smiles and excitement. We managed to snag a high table near the bar, and a short while after the place was packed. I loved walking in with the bodega wine bar to the right and the barber shop Roy & Son on the left. The interior is dark, modern, almost industrial and the vibe is tingling with excitement from the get go. But even though the quite serious approach to cocktails and drinks, the atmosphere is everything but pretentious. More than anything it's relaxing and joyous, and above all they want to make sure the customer feels the same way and that hanging out in a bar should be fun. We were immediately attended to and started with serving up water and asking if we wanted anything else with our cocktails such as snacks or a plate of charcuteries. We kindly said no to that offer and started going over the cocktail list. Truthfully? I had no idea where to even start. None of the classic cocktails were even to be seen, this is all about experimenting with flavors and pushing the envelope on combinations and challenging all the senses we possess. Having heard so much about these drinks, it was almost to the point of just closing my eyes and point. Just throw caution to the wind! But we all ordered different cocktails so we could have a small zip of each, just to maximize the whole experience. For our first round we had Lucidor, Stockholm and Paul's Canal. All of them were divine. For our second round it was a selection of Hot or Not, Road To Nowhere, and Gypsy Queen. And for our third, and final, round we had.... oh yeah, sorry... I forgot to write them down! But does it really matter? No, because this place is a cocktail heaven above the rest. Go there and experience innovation, great service, friendly smiles and most importantly seasonal cocktails that literary blow your mind, it's just that good. My only regret? This bar is a no-nonsense bar, with everything you'd expect for a great night out. The service is wonderful. The bartenders make great tasting cocktails; the old fashioned here is one of the best I've ever had. I would also recommend the "Stockholm," one of their delicious Vodka based cocktails. The crowd is energetic, fun, and really friendly. It was a nice change of pace, after walking around Sweden for two days, and not receiving even one "hello" or a smile. At least the alcohol helps to loosen the Swedes up a bit. Anyhow, this is a great bar that is definitely worth a visit. read more

Restaurant by day, cocktail bar by night. Linje Tio without a doubt, have one of the best table services I have ever experienced in scandinavian countries. For that reason itself, it deserves four stars. As soon as I arrived, I was served with their free cocktail of the day (can't remember what it is called), a glass of deliciousness and quite bitter too because of the lime. I ordered a dish from their sandwich menu, called Squid Fritti. It was a batter fried baby squid, lettuce, with saffron aioli (Yep, you read that right). Though because of the design of the plate (not a flat plate), I ended up eating it with my hands because the knife just won't cut the crusty bread. The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned, crunchy squid, no traces of oil on the squid. I tried one of their side dish, french fries, nothing special about it. There was two other menus that were recommended, Porc Roti and Croissant Dimanche (recommended by the chef). Our group then ordered desert, of course, chocolate for me. A one bite size of a chocolate truffle, rolled in dark chocolate powder, it was delicious, not too sweet which I liked it. My friend ordered a Gelato o sorbetto. It was liquorice flavour. Oh My God, that was probably the only liquorice desert that I would want to eat. So soft and smooth, the were no strong salty taste from the liquorice. The colour was tempting as well for some reason (greyish). Overall I liked the service, especially when one of us ordered the bloody mary, and it was not a great glass of Bloody Mary, even after she had requested a new one. But they accepted her complaint with an open heart. Two thumbs up. I liked it that they keep on coming back to your table and asks questions about your experiences and making sure that everything is up to our liking. The manager came to our table, had a little chat with one of us, and invited us to a party for the night. I would have come if it weren't because I had made an appointment with my friend. The crowd was very cool/trendy and "Swedish." It was truly packed in there! The cocktail menu was quite extensive, and I decided to try a special mojito with a twist. The bartender actually took a lot of time and effort to prepare the cocktail and it was quite good. The huge ice cubes are cool.
