Two days to wait try on and ship back. Product cheap ajd felt weird. (Later saw them on sale at Walmart.com) So I made a quick call to von maur after my mother made the suggestion. You talk about service. I was able to Tell them what I needed and size. (And looking it up on line first I could give them the item number. Lady was so kind to find the items I needed and set them aside. I walked in and amongst all the customers she said hello and passed me to special agent 732925. Calling him special agent cause wow did he take care of me. (Using his id so von maur can give him employee of the month). He was so wonderful. Remembered me from a year and a half ago and helped me big time. Found jeans that were an even better fit. Understood what I needed and because I am on a weight loss program found me similar jeans that were on sale! I was in and out and able to try them on in less than 30 min. No more Amazon wardrobe for me. Their is no way they can touch the service. The selection and in this case the price. Way to go Von Maur! I hope you never leave St Charles. Just amazing. Kudos to the men's department. I will be back in two months when I shrunk down to a 38/36. Amazing. And to agent 732925! I am asking for you each time I am in!

It's rare for me to ever pass up a chance to shop here. When I came in, I wasn't really in a shopping mood per se and I was with my mom who thinks that anything over $1 is a rip-off. However, neither of these situations changed the fact that I was going to peruse every aisle. I was surprised at the amount of sale items each aisle had. I ended up buying a turquoise stone necklace and some matching earrings. They were both already marked down with an additional 30% on the sale items. I also found a really cute gift bag and matching tissue paper that ended up being around $1 on sale. For the same price of an ugly gift bag at Party City, I got a really cool handmade one. My favorite thing about World Market is their wordly foods and this particular location had a great selection too (although I left without picking any food related item up) My in-laws went to Italy and for Christmas, I decided to make them an Italian themed gift basket. I found about 90% of the imported items from World Market. I find that at least half of my Christmas shopping is done at World Market because you can find really unique things for anyone on your list. I also recommend signing up for their reward club. You can earn points just by providing your phone # at checkout and if you sign up for emails, you frequently receive store coupons that can be used on anything minus alcohol. The service at this particular store was great. I had a nice guy ring me up and there were even a few people ask if we needed help.

Rikki was the girl who was working the store when I visited. I was on vacation and literally all of my jeans were falling off me. I know, tough problem. But in reality it kinda sucks. I hate clothes shopping...yup I do. Am I the only female who does not truly enjoy clothes shopping? Anyway, enter Rikki. I had grabbed a few jeans to try on and she set up a fitting room and asked me what I was looking for. I told her. I also told her specific issues I have bc my legs are fairly long. She suggested which of the jeans I had picked were most likely to fit best. I tried them, but wasn't thrilled. I didn't even know what size I was anymore, so nothing was perfect. She grabbed several different styles and lengths and brought them to me. Then she brought more, and then more. My best friend was with me, so I was able to get a good second opinion. Rikki was so full of personality & seemed to truly love her job. It turned into a fun shopping experience, not one full of dread. Because seriously, does anyone really like trying on jeans? Anyway, I ended up with the perfect jeans and I actually really really really like them. They fit perfect, and I do mean perfect. That never happens. And she even applied unexpected, but appreciated coupons when I checked out. Yippee!

About 75% of my wardrobe is from Goodwill stores. Right down to my Old Navy down feather coat. They partner with Target stores so occasionally you'll find new Mossimo brand clothing here. I've even purchased a brand new Kitchenaid food processor from a Goodwill. Not all Goodwills are created equal. The location here is superb in my opinion. They have a pretty good sized cd, dvd and book section. Love that. Their selection of women's clothing is vast. Sweaters usually run about $4.99. Items are usually in decent shape too. This Goodwill is worth a visit.

Goodwill Has Lost Sight of Its Mission…read more Have you ever checked out the executive salaries at Goodwill Industries International? Before donating, consider these 2023 figures--especially as prices continue to skyrocket in 2025 and beyond: Jacqueline Hallberg, President & CEO: $820,541 Jeffrey Docalavich, Assistant Treasurer: $510,487 Basil Buchko, Assistant Secretary: $351,216 Brenda Sanders, Director: $120,696 Visit charitynavigator.com to see how Goodwill is performing today. Despite eliminating discounts and reducing employee hours in 2025--claiming "profits were down"--executive compensation remains untouched. Meanwhile, donated items are priced at outrageous levels, even higher than on eBay! This undermines the very spirit of charity. Where are donations truly going? When Goodwill prioritizes high executive salaries and excessive pricing over its mission to help, I can't support them any longer. It's clear: they've lost sight of their mission.
