I will say I've found some solid Ralph Lauren dress shirts here. Yes they still are $47 or so, but for the quality hard to beat. Also Nautica ones for $25 is a decent deal. These are two brands that I like, but the Jones and other ones not so much. This store could be better. A lot of it is due to how busy it is, and also a lack of organization. It's not my favorite TJ. Getting in and out of here on Route 7 is a headache. The lines are "read a chapter long." It's like there's never a lull here, and I like to shop in a semblance of peace. That won't be found here, but that's Tysons Corner for you. Still I'm grateful for the polite staff. Also happy to get nice looking shirts, at half of what they'd be at Tysons Corner Shopping Center. That helps my budget, or what's left of it.

This TJ Maxx is located in the Sakura plaza, right off the Leesburg Pike. It seems as if this place has more of a selection of 'Off the Runway' items, as there are a lot of designers showcased. If you have the time to sift through, some of these items appear in the regular clearance racks, all melded in with the other articles of clothing. One thing I've noticed, though, is that most of the clothing are usually stained, mostly with foundation or lipstick marks. GROSS! Also, there is a lot of inventory here, not really organized, and it's a little 'compact.' If you're a cup/mug person, this particular location seems to have a nice variety - there are some cute currently-treading unicorn mugs. The SAs are not readily available, as they are only a couple who stock items and the rest are up at the front, manning the cashiers. I was able to find some cute shirts, but just with any TJ Maxx stores, you may be fortunate to find a special/rare item on a random visit. I have to note that I've met one of the most friendliest cashiers in all of the TJ Maxx/Marshalls/HomeGoods-land - her name is Sabina, and she is so CHEERFUL! It was pretty refreshing to see her greeting each of the customers with a big smile and engaging them - what a great individual! :D +ask for Sabina! :D +stained and disorganized selection of clothing +limited SAs on the floor +located in the Sakura plaza

Enjoy the T.J.MAXX in University Shopping Center at 10300 Main Street , Fairfax, VA 22030. It gives me the great deals for BRAND NAMES and UNIQUE ITEMS as always. Moreover, I have receiving GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE from this store. A cashier, Jessica rings me up for all my GREAT DEALS and she has excellent advices and answer all my questions in happiness ways....Yeahhhhh...She also gives a chance to talk with the Store Manager and the Operators too. I am very lucky...LOLLLL:-)) Just overall great!! I wish I can have more than 5 starts option on my review :-))))

The stain on the skirt looks like it's lipstick but oil based so it may not come out

I visited this store last evening and was not satisfied with the service also the store was packed with clothing and no sense of organization. There was a lot of inventory in that store. When I got to the register I alerted the cashier that a skirt I was purchasing had a stain (see photos) and could I get a 10% discount. She informed me that they don't discount for things of that nature but she could ask. I asked her to ask her Manager. The Manager said they do not discount, but I could go home and wash it and if it did not come out I could return it. What???? A 10% discount would have went so far in customer service than telling a customer to go home and wash a newly purchased item to remove a stain and then take the time and energy to return it back to the store if I was unsuccessful in the removal of the stain. I purchased the skirt at full price because it was really beautiful and I wanted. Upon leaving the store the sensor on my bag went off so the Manager who refused to offer a discount but gave a plethora of other suggestions checked my bag to find a sensor still on one of the garments. I further discussed with the Manager the notion that they don't discount items for damage and she stood firm in initial stance. I worked retail at Marshalls for a year and offering a discount for a damaged item was customary and I let her know that. She puts the items back in my bag and I go home to find that one of the items I paid for was not in the bag and now I have to go back to that store to retrieve the item I purchased or get a refund. This was not a pleasant experience and I don't foresee ever going back to this TJ Maxx.

If you're fan of any of our wonderful local sports teams, here's all you need to know: TJ Maxx has some CHEAP ASS prices on professional sports apparrel!!! The rest of Twilight watching freaks that don't like sports and would rather watch the latest episode of "Real Housewives in X City" probably give a rat's ass about this info. For the rest of us folk, this is pretty darn exciting...I mean "it moved down there a little bit" exciting! Why? Well wrap you mind around this: You can go to a sports store an pay $80 to $90 for an official Redskins hoodie. How much can you find the SAME friggin' hoodie at TJ Maxx's? $30 bones!!! Yes! You saw that right! $30 versus $90!! They have hats, jerseys, t-shirts and a whole bunch of cool stuff. I friggin love it! They also have other name brand clothes for mondo cheap prices. You may call me a cheap fokker, but I prefer to go by "smart shopper". So while some other donkey is shelling out $90 on a Redskins hoodie, I'll happily plunk down $30 for the same hoodie. With the extra money I save, I'll stuff my face with $60 of food. Damn straight son, that's how I roll!

The runway section featuring a large selection of premium designer brands.

I love T.J. Maxx, but this location is extra special - it has a runway section! Compared to the closest location to me (in Sterling), this T.J. Maxx is 100 percent nicer. Anyway, so the runway section is a special designer section that not all T.J. Maxx locations have. They have shoes, clothes, handbags, and some accessories from a large selection of upscale brand names - think Helmut Lang, Valentino, Alice and Olivia, YSL, L.K Bennett, DVF, Pucci, etc. While sometimes you can find these kinds of gems at T.J Maxx, they are few and far between. However, here they have a huge selection! Although some of the pieces can still be pricey, they really do have some good discounts. As for the rest of the store, I found it to be extremely well organized. I was particularly impressed by the home goods section - I didn't need any broken glasses, spilled food, and all the cooking utensils, sheets, lamps, etc. all looked nice and neat on the shelves/racks. I looked through the racks of the casual women's wear, and was again impressed by the great selection. Still tons of high quality name brand pieces, and ample quality of everything. The only disappointing this was that the clearance section was pretty small, but at least it was well organized. I ended up not getting anything on this particular trip, but I will definitely be coming back frequently to look out for great deals!

1 Star -- Buyer Beware: Defective Merchandise, Zero Accountability, and a Company in Active…read moreBankruptcy I have been a loyal Neiman Marcus customer for years and have made multiple high-end purchases at their Tysons Corner location -- we are talking about items in the hundreds and even thousands of dollars. I am writing this review because I have reached my limit with this company and I feel it is my duty to warn fellow shoppers before they make the same mistakes I have. Let me start with my most recent issue. I purchased a Veronica Beard blazer -- a beautiful jacket with gold buttons that cost $800. I wore it to a formal event, one of the gold buttons literally fell off and dropped to the floor. Thank God I heard it hit the floor or I would have lost it entirely -- and these are unique, distinctive gold buttons that cannot simply be replaced anywhere. On an $800 designer blazer, this is completely unacceptable. This is not a $30 jacket from a fast fashion retailer. This is supposed to be luxury. And this is not an isolated incident. I have purchased multiple items from Neiman Marcus -- some costing thousands of dollars -- and have encountered defective merchandise more than once. What makes it worse is not just that the products fail, but that Neiman Marcus absolutely does not stand behind what they sell. They do not honor their guarantees. They do not offer reassurances. They do not make it right. They will dispute you if you escalate to the Better Business Bureau rather than work with you in good faith toward a reasonable resolution. I have experienced this firsthand. They will not take back defective merchandise. I attempted to return defective shoes -- and they refused to take them back even the next day. The next day. On defective shoes. That tells you everything you need to know about how this company values its customers. I am now sitting at a tailor out of pocket paying to have my $800 blazer repaired because Neiman Marcus offers no path to resolution that is worth the time, gas, and emotional energy it takes to even attempt it. I know from experience that driving all the way out to Tysons only to be told no -- as they have done to me before -- is not something I am willing to subject myself to again. So I am fixing their defective product myself, on my own dime. Shoppers need to know that Neiman Marcus is also currently in active bankruptcy. Before you spend your hard-earned money -- especially on high-ticket items -- please do your research and understand that you are taking on real risk. If something goes wrong, and based on my experience it very well might, you will be on your own. There are no guarantees, no accountability, and no customer care to speak of. Shop elsewhere. There are retailers who actually stand behind what they sell and treat their customers with the respect that this level of spending deserves. Neiman Marcus is no longer one of them.

However, on a recent trip coming back home, I made my way here to kill some time as I had the day off from work. It's ever changing as many stores have come and gone. Nevertheless, this is my favorite mall to visit when we make our annual trip to DC. Tysons Corner is located in Tysons, Virginia. The parking structure is very busy and somewhat chaotic. It doesn't have the best layout and there's a lot of confusion as people maneuver through the structure. We bypass this situation by parking on the upper level. Tysons Corner is an incredibly busy mall that never seems to be empty, regardless of the time of day that you visit. This is a three story indoor shopping mall that caters to customers who want to spend serious money. They have your typical stores like Old Navy and Journeys. But then, you'll find Cartier, Louis Vuitton, and Rolex. So, there's something for everyone! Their food court section on the top level near the movie theater has seen better days. It's outdated and hidden away from the rest of the mall. All of the other eateries on the 1st and 2nd levels are pretty nice. They have restaurants like Seasons 52 and Cheesecake Factory that you'd typically find at many of the larger malls. They also have some pop up eateries in the center of the shopping center. I love coming to Tysons Corner. I am still bummed about LL Bean leaving this mall. but I still love this mall. Some stores have moved to different locations within the mall, so make sure that you check the updated directory. The best times to visit Tysons Corner are either early in the morning or about an hour before closing. If you want to get some shopping done while in the area, Tysons Corner is the place for you!

Because of this, the gift card could no longer be applied to the pair I kept, and I ended up being charged full price on my card. The only reason I bought these expensive jeans in the first place was because I had a gift card to use. This policy makes no sense and feels completely unfair. The manager was not helpful at all. My 12 year old tried on a sneaker, needed the next size up and when I asked, the saleswoman just pointed up, which I interpreted meant I needed to take her to the women's for the next size. Ok, that's fine, but there is a nice way to say it and pointing isn't it. My other daughter loved a pair of sneakers. The saleswoman disappeared so I walked up to the sales counter to pay. An extremely rude woman barked at me "you need a receipt or an order number to return". I said "Actually I want to BUY these." This past week I've been shopping in store for their closing sale, which has been chaos. My sales person Bouchra Drummond couldn't be bothered to stick around for the sale, so commission's conscious- I reduce the number of items I was planning to purchase from six to just one Laquan Smith top that had seen better days. I really hoped that someone could have attempted to remove the stains or offered a discount because it was the last one, but they refused. Eventually, after shopping, the mall some more I decided to come back for that top. I asked for the Manager explained how a pair of jeans I purchased the day before had a similar issue, but the store cleaned them and gave me a discount because the stain wasn't completely removed- & that's when Malcolm told me that whoever helped me previously was not an actual store manager, the discount that the sales person offered he couldn't match & at this point & What was offered he didn't even wanna give me. Reason being because I kept asking questions. I had to ask do you want me to stop talking. I also had to ask if he wanted to cancel the transaction because "that's a choice" but no he wanted that sale. I dont blame Mr Malcolm because he said Saks left him with no alterationists (now it's corporate and other managers have better offerings because they've been treated better. Which I can only hear as implied racism. So I'm standing up for your Mr Malcolm. But unfortunately not Bouchra Drummond or Fresh who literally threw the top at me when I asked her to wrap it.
