Not organised , garments have holes and stains, staff that has zero knowledge to the system , long wait time as the staff are not well trained, managers are useless and rude and they keep implementing their own rules, refuse certain returns even if with receipts , not accepting e gift cards and reward cards and treating customers like thieves . I suggest if you have a bad experience, call corporate and tell them what happened to you at this store, looks like the store manager is having friends around him as assistants and all what they do is totally wrong and corporate just not aware of their actions. read more

Employees working at this location are more focused on treating customers like criminals, than they are at making any sales. That is why this location is one of the worst performing in the entire company. Sadly, as such, they have plenty of square footage to display product, but the majority of the space is unused, and the racks are mostly empty. By empty, I mean 6-8 inches of open space between each hanging garment. It almost looks like when a person has sold a condo, and left their unwanted items hanging in the closet as a final goodbye to the property manager. Sad and desperate, the bored employees stalk any person of color, or any white person with tattoos, while ignoring the grandma stuffing shirts into their baby stroller. This location did not used to be so terrible. Once upon a time, they actually had some good buys, and a few products that were not damaged. Unfortunately, this sordid harassment of customers is actually a company policy, as the new hires are told to "Make them aware of your presence", though, the actual application of this approach is left to the discretion of the employees, which at this location, is executed like a cartoonish depiction of inherent bigotry. Nevertheless, I do plan to return, only this time I will wear a puffy jacket and a backwards facing baseball cap, as to treat the entire thing like a stage play. read more

This TJMaxx has really upped it's customer service! They are sweet and happy to help. There's the occasional staff who is having a bad day and sasses, but overall they have really become more welcoming and helpful :) They have better inventory too! I would recommend this store :) read more

I consider TJ maxx, Ross & Burlington Coat Factory all about the same. They have pretty much the same stuff. What TJ Maxx seemed to have that is different than the others is an amazing selection of organic & fru-fru lotions and potions at a significantly lower price! I had no idea!! I would say the aisles are a little too close for my liking, the store itself was clean, and didn't check out the bathroom today. I bought a cute pair of flats but nothing else was important. Cashier Stephanie was rude and trying to make an easy transaction complicated making BS excuses that I am 100% sure is not correct based on my own experience at the same store and same product category. And I work at retail and exactly know the policy. And I did go online and read the policy again just to make sure I am not writing a false review. So disappointed in TJ maxx.... i went in on Thursday to look for a specific face cream , at home I found one of them was replaced with a diff face cream( they were in boxes. I returned it on Saturday along with 2 other items. A boxed onyx bracelet, and a birthday card. I had receipt, none were used. My goodness, took them 30 min to do my return. the bracelet I had taken off the price tag because it was going to be a present, but the event was cancelled. But it was still in its box still attached to the box. They sell these bead bracelets year round. I pointed out it was the $14.99 one and they looked at me like I was lying. huge line and they are scavenge-ring to find the price for it. Then the face cream ! She asked me if it wasn't sealed, they usually tape it up. The box was in tact still with the price and no blemishes on the box from me removing any tape. I was super insulted. To top it off I'm purchasing 2 pencil holders that were ticketed on clearance for $2... the clearance tags were kind of ripped so of course they have to figure out if I'm lying about that. The clearance tag was on both of them, one was ripped half off .. they told me they were $4 not $2... as if I had changed the tags , so I went and got another two pencil holders , with the $2 tags perfectly intact and securely attached to the tag on the pencil holders. they told me they would be $4. I shop here all the time and whenever there is a damaged item i purchase they give 10% off the item. Well today i was purchasing a Christmas gingerbread house decor item and one of the major pieces right in the front was broken off... the item was $15 and she laughed at me when i asked for a discount and took 49 cents off of the item. When i asked for 10% she said no because it was not a big deal and was extremely rude about it. Not the customer service i normally receive. She was a manager named jade. I think she needs to be trained on being friendly and nice to the customers and not brushing things off just because she thought it was dumb. I went here at night and I don't even get greeted instead they tell me they're closing in 15 min and not even 5 minutes in another tells me we're closing in 5 minute but in a rude way so of course I just walk rite out. I've come in here twice and both times I've found the women's selection lacking. The last time I came in I was looking for something nice to wear for a party. The dresses were seriously picked over, there was only one rack and they were all tattered or not in my size. The shoe section is not a bad size, but I've never seen a shoe that I would actually wear here. There are a TON of casual clothes here, so if that's what you're looking for, you're in luck. T-shirts and jeans a plenty. I have enough of those, so I guess I'll be going elsewhere. read more

They are always willing to assist you, even if they are busy doing something. The most challenging thing for me is getting out of this store without buying anything. You'll always find something. This is the worst store I've ever been in, first of all me and Mom went into the store to pick up a few last minute items for a trip. The manager quickly announced ALL associates on the floor as though he(heavy set older man) wasn't used to African-Americans in his store. The whole time we were there shopping maybe it was their security or whoever just followed us through every aisle and act as though he was buying, at the same time he was radioing back from his walkie-talkie. When we got to the register the cashier cooked up some small talk, and I wanted to say save it for someone else. Instead we kept our cool and exited never to return ever again.. Love the store as they keep it stocked with many items. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!! The company has numerous warehouse issues in shipping online orders. Recently placed an order online and received a notification (9/26/20) the item shipped. Several days later the shipping number was not available on the carriers website and it stated to contact the sender. Spoke with TJ Max CSR she states the tracking number is good, blames the issue on the carrier and it takes 10-15 business days to investigate. Prior to that, I placed an order with Marshall's (their other company). After calling several times on the status it was blamed on "known warehouse issues" . After 15 days of placing the order the items shipped and the day of receiving the items has changed several times! The only published information is on the order which states standard shipping of 3-8 business days!! Do they no longer ship "standard"? I guess the new "normal" is not to take ownership of any problems and offer solutions, but to shift the blame!!! read more

I will never return to this TJ Maxx. First, the African American lady at the living room was so rude. I did not manage to catch her name, she let my little sister and I go in with all of our 15 items and only gave us one number card. When we came out and handed her the items we didn't want, because that's what I've always experienced at a TJ Maxx and everywhere else, she was upset at the fact that we only had the one card number which was a 7 and my sister was holding the 6 items we wanted to keep. So she proceeded to count the items we were keeping and leaving twice and ran right into the fitting room we were in to check it. I get that it's what you have to do, but the manner in which she did it was so rude. And then the manager, Raquel or Rachel. The item I was purchasing had the stitching come undone and when I asked the cashier (who was really nice) she called up Raquel or Rachel the manager, and she was also so rude about it, giving attitude even. I get it, it was close to closing and you want to close the store out, but these two ladies made my experience such an unpleasant one. I worked in retail for a really long time and the way I was treated today is no way an employee or manager should treat a customer. DON'T COME HERE. GO TO THE ONE IN MENIFEE INSTEAD. I Love TJ Maxx, and the employees are always nice, but it's very very annoying to constantly be asked to apply for a credit card. It makes me not want to come back. I have been waiting at the jewelry counter for over 10 minutes while this older lady- employee has been having a personal conversation with another employee. A younger employee walked behind the counter asked the older employee if I was customer. I dont know what she said but they are still holding their personal conversation. No one has even acknowledged me. She finally asked if I needed help gave the younger lady the key while she continued her personal conversation. I told the younger lady that I was good and didn't want to be help. I told her that I've waiting and watching her talk to the other lady without any acknowledging me. How rude#!! I was staying at my sisters house in Temecula for a short little vacation away from Jersey and I forgot to pack some socks so we decided to run and grab me some from tj maxx. we were there sunday evening looking at clothes and we overheard some rather... disturbing... comments made by one of their employees. I hate to throw people under the bus and put their jobs at risk but the profanity coming from this young mans mouth was horrendous. I couldn't see his name tag clearly but i believe his name was either Elijah or Elliot or something similar. My poor sister was devastated by the comments he made in regards to engaging in homosexual activity and experiences he's had with other men. My sister and I are by no means homophobic, we fully support the LGBTQ+ community. However speaking about your sexual experiences at your job in front of customers is simply unacceptable. The gruesome and filthy detail this young man was getting into was something you'd find in a "adult" film. My sister and I are never going to return to this store ever again. we're both very disappointed. read more

So I am a regular at discount stores and TJ Maxx never disappoints. Their shoe selection is hit or miss, but their purses are to die for. Lots of nice leather purses by big name designers. I also like that they have racks with multiple sizes of an item, so you don't have to search all the racks to find the size you need. Their clearance section holds many great finds. I purchased a designer dress (originally over $600) for only $10, yes$10. It was beautiful with sequins and perfect for celebrating my 30th birthday. If you are looking for a bargian, this is a great place to stop and look. read more

Talk about a bait n' switch! I realized after buying a couple identical items that once I got home, they were different prices. One was $29.99 and the same item was $39.99. No extra discount and same exact item and description. Beware of any items you purchase here...they won't adjust the price because they "bought different batches at different times, and got a different deal".... Why does that matter to me?! If I buy eggs at the grocery store and it's a "new batch", I still pay the same price... This is a terrible store policy and the store manager did NOTHING at all to make it right. I shop t the Tjmaxx in Temecula often ...I have to give a high five to the staff members having to put up with unhinged customers! I was in the store yesterday and over heard a member of staff ask another staff member a question and the member of staff answered with what sounded to me a playful answer. It looked like to me the staff member that asked the question had a smile on her face. A woman customer near by over heard this and started telling the staff member she was rude and wanted to speak to a manager! REALLY!!!! This customer is mentally ill or just needs to have drama in her life! I overheard her tell the store manager the staff member needs to be fired. It seemed like the manager was taking the customers side.....It made me feel even more sorry for the staff member. There are a very high number of mentally ill people out there and a lot of them obviously shop at this tjmaxx!!! I have seen and heard several crazy things like this happen in this store..kinda scary. To the staff member you didn't do anything wrong! This used to be my favorite TJ Maxx as they had a wide variety of designer clothers available. It seems things have drastically changed for the worse. Not only were there no simple black career pants or reasonable career selections, but the line to purchase goods was long and slow. And the coup de gras, I was identified as someone to watch or profiled. It struck me like prickly fingers on the back of my neck. I almost called myself crazy and had to ask did that just really happen??? Needless to say, I won't be back and I will be warning everyone I know who may be in jeopardy of having a similar experience. read more
