Just visited this store today. I can't believe how much it's changed. It's the BEST TJ Maxx in the area now.... by far! So impressed with the turnaround with the Stoughton location!! Definitely not the largest TJ Maxx I've been too, and the selection for a few sections were lacking, but the staff here today were amazing (multiple staff members took an interest in trying to help me find a bunch of clothing, an iPhone case, and a book I thought they may carry (as they have in the past). So helpful staff and a pretty good selection in the clothing department. For iPhone cases and books, I wouldn't suggest this store. Anyway, the line wasn't long at all, and the overall store was very clean and appealing to return to do more shopping. Will definitely be returning to this location. The men's department in the store is an absolute joke. No brand names, it's tiny, I can find better apparel at Ross, and that's a very sad statement. read more

What used to be a nice store is wrecked. The store is dirty, the shelves and merchandise are a mess. They are understocked and some of the employees including management are uninformed and rude. There was a wrinkled fitted sheet in a plastic bag on the clearance shelf that smelled musty from a few feet away. I went to the layaway desk and and told the woman working there. She said someone must have taken it out of the package and shoved it back in wrong. I asked her about the smell and she said she'll take care of it. Twenty minutes later it was still there. I know some employees who have been at this store for years and they look so sad. read more

This is just an okay TJ Maxx..It always seems to be in disarray! The best part of this store is they always have tons of purses! But, when you try and find anything else at this store the racks are always a mess! I'm sure it's not the staff..I've watched people come in and just throw things on the ground, unfortunately.. They do have a great parking lot next to other great stores like five below, Bed Bath and Beyond and of course, Yummy Panera!! read more

I don't mind the store, it's difficult for me finding clothes I like in general. Fashion tip. I like wearing clothes that fit my age and it gets confusing that way and I don't seem to like anything ever. Everything is out of place and wrong with style. So as I do have a tough time finding the right piece of clothing, I don't understand why my dress has pink flamingos on it when I'm nearing 30. Why do I have to wear business clothes in public. Why is the only red long sleeve red shirt extra small. And what is going on with those body suits and I still like to wear jeans. And I see no jeans anywhere. Why is my grandma wearing life is good T-shirt and I'm 30 wearing a similar T-shirt. Why do my business casual clothes look exactly like a 50 year olds business woman's casual outfit. Did my mother really pick out a sparkling elephant on a grey T-shirt with flowers on in the woman's department, and the green cargos down to my knees for an outfit. I just cannot buy anything....well because this is the problem. read more

There was a girl laying/leaning on a bench, an older woman who was an employee with dyed black hair who VERY LOUDLY and unapologetically exclaimed "You know I can see RIGHT up your dress. Mmhmm you need to sit up. " The girl was obviously incredibly embarrassed by this and I wish I said something there, the entire situation was so awkward. There was a whole line of patrons who heard. I found this wildly inappropriate and incredibly offensive! In this situation the woman should have privately told her or not said anything at all! I think her name was Connie or Bonnie but I'm not quite sure, could have been another associate. read more

While I do love all TJ's, the customer service at the Park St, Stoughton front desk, specifically Connie the front area manager is way below TJ Maxx standards. Her arrogance and utter disregard for one person in line, me, for 15 minutes while she talked, and folded clothes, making eye contact with me while walking out to the selling floor, returning and ignoring the line of customers as it grew from one to at least 15 customers. She finally called for associate support and THEN went to a register to check out customers. Her attitude showed me she is oblivious to any customer service training guide lines TJ Maxx has in their training manuals. If I was the DM of this store I would pull her off the floor and let her "strut her stuff" to the back room and learn the TJ guidelines of customer service frontwards and backwards before allowing her to engage with the service floor. I rarely write bad reviews but her behavior blew my mind and I felt it goes way beyond not understanding good customer service...there was an arrogance to her ignoring the customers in line. This experience will keep me from stepping foot in this particular store again. read more

Every time I come in to Tj Maxx Shania welcomes me with a beautiful smile and always finds the right jewelry to match with my outfits! She is an amazing employee and truly knows how to work with people. She should be praised. read more

Two issues in this review. Review of the store. Then the fishy things happening around the store. SO the store itself is alright. I noticed that they do not stock often. It is rather a small TJ Maxx. I check it usually once a week or so for new items and I noticed they are slow to restock. Also I noticed one more thing because I was checking all TJ Maxx and Marshalls in the area: they distribute items unevenly. Meaning: Stoughton gets the ok items, while some other TJ Maxx(s) get the really nice items (Like Norwood and Newton). Sometimes when I check those stores I find a substantially different higher end stock and I end up buying there instead of Stoughton simple because TJ Maxx distributes stock unevenly. My hunch is that they consider the income level of the area surrounding the store. This is a very skewed logic because some of the richest people in Mass live close to the Stoughton Store. Now outside the store. In the parking lot of the store which is shared I noticed on different occasions (different days of the week, different times of day) that some fishy police and detective cars keep circling around. On 5-6 occasions within last 2 months I noticed every time I am in this store that a police car would circle around the parking lot, stop for a moment in front of the TJ Maxx store and the 2 people inside look inside the store then they exit the parking lot. I noticed that multiple times. I also noticed recently an unmarked detective/FBI black truck doing the same thing. Very fishy and suspicious. No it is not your typical police patrol thing. and no they are not there for more safety. There is something fishy going on in this plaza. I have no clue what it is. But all I know that it actually makes me feel unsafe rather than safe here. so I know I am not going to be shopping here for a while. You never know what can happen. If you are in the wrong place at the wrong time you could be screwed. read more

This TJ Maxx definitely has it all, but not without some confusion and disorganization. I've found some cute summer dresses here at great prices, as well as shirts and ties for my sweetie at Christmas. Check the Clearance section first, some great steals, including the bath and body stuff. Employees aren't too friendly or helpful and the dressing room needs a good scrub in addition to updates. read more

I work right down the road and have been there several times on my break to purchase something real quick . Every single time I go in there to purchase something I end up standing in a 20 minute line just to buy one item please can you get more than two people at the register at lunchtime read more

Very disappointed with the poor management here. I visit TJX stores very often, I go there because I do find great items consistently.... although the staff at the Stoughton TJMAXX has some serious attitude issues they need to work on. Where's the customer service?! read more
